Ann Summers might be the unexpected hero of your Glastonbury festival wardrobe
Festival season is officially here, and for those attending Glastonbury on the 25th of June, you'll be well aware that outfit planning is as crucial as the lineup. In my quest for the perfect ensemble, I've stumbled upon some unexpected options at Ann Summers.
The brand is nailing it with its glamorous, dancefloor-ready collection. From sequin-adorned bodysuits to faux leather shorts, it's got all the elements for a headline act moment - and some items are even discounted.
Topping my wish list is the Flashing Lights Sequin Body, now £27.20 (down from £34). With its electric pink hue and abundant sparkle, it's practically designed for dancing under the stage lights, reports the Manchester Evening News.
It's bold, playful and a bit cheeky, featuring a deep back and mesh thong rear. Team it with denim cut-offs, or go all out and wear it alone with a pair of knee-high boots. Charli XCX would approve.
For those feeling particularly daring, the Eternal Rainbow Suit is another option. Now reduced to £28.80 from £36, it's crafted from rainbow lace and mesh instead of a solid colour, lending it a dreamy vibe. It also features underwired cups for added support and adjustable shoulder straps for enhanced comfort.
With a statement piece like this, keep the rest of your outfit understated. Consider black shorts and chunky combat boots to let the bodysuit take centre stage.
If you're on the hunt for the ultimate festival outfit, Jaded London is a cracking alternative. They've got some ace fits on offer, including cargo trousers and co-ords that ooze main-stage vibes. I wore these beige parachute trousers to the Lido Festival in London last weekend, and they were both comfortable and stylish.
Alternatively, you might want to check out Motel Rocks. Renowned for bold prints, sheer layering and that quintessential y2k party-girl energy, it's bang on for romping around in a muddy field.
When it comes to Ann Summers, they've also got some top-notch short options up for grabs. For the festival crowd, you can go all-out glam with a pair featuring diamante detailing or opt for understated chic with a classic black number – both at £28 a pop.
The brand's festival lineup hasn't been widely reviewed yet, though a few punters have chimed in on the diamante shorts. One shopper wrote: "Really pretty. The material is thin, which is perfect for summer. I love the bling detail on the chains."
Another shared: "I recently went from 16 to 14, and I am choosing size medium more often. I went with a size large on this one so that my belly doesn't stick out. They are a bit large, but I love how they make me look as if I have room."
As far as negative critiques on the festival range go, there's not much chatter on Ann Summers' own site. Yet some folks have had a gripe about its delivery service on TrustPilot, noting: "I placed an order which was cancelled a week later. No reason was given; the email stated that if I still wanted the products, I should place a new order."

Dua Lipa 'approaches two HUGE Brit pop stars to open her monumental Wembley Stadium gigs' amid Radical Optimism tour
Dua Lipa has reportedly 'lined up' two huge British pop stars to support her at her upcoming 'monumental' Wembley Stadium gigs. The singer, 29, is said to have approached Charli XCX and Raye to open her shows on June 20 and 21, ahead of their upcoming Glastonbury performances. A source told The Sun: 'These two Wembley shows are monumental for Dua and she wants to give her fans an extra treat. 'Her team has approached Raye to open Friday's show, while Charli is in talks to perform on Saturday. 'Dua, Raye and Charli are all super supportive of each other and it would be amazing to have these three British female powerhouses playing Wembley. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'With Glastonbury the week after, this is the perfect warm-up for Raye and Charli too as they'll be playing to almost 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.' MailOnline has contacted Dua's representatives for comment. Dua was initially set to play just one show at the London venue on Friday 20 June 2025, as part of her Radical Optimism tour. But due to the phenomenal demand, the pop star will be staying in the English capital for a second night to put on another performance on Saturday June 21. And those who have bagged tickets to the highly-anticipated shows are in luck as the hitmaker is planning to get up close and personal with her fans when she plays at Wembley Stadium. The Illusion hitmaker is set to jump off the main stage and walk the full length of the crowd in a similar manner to her Glastonbury headline performance last year. And in her personal life, Dua revealed she would 'love' to have children with her fiancé Callum Turner after announcing their engagement. The singer publicly shared her excitement for the first time since the actor, 35, got down on one knee. The hitmaker posed for the front cover of British Vogue where she looked stunning in a pale pink bra that highlighted her jaw-dropping figure. In the interview, Dua discussed her family plans, saying she's concerned how having children will fit in with her career as a pop star. 'I'd love to have kids one day,' she said. 'But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Confirming their engagement, Dua said: 'Yeah we're engaged. It's very exciting. 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever — it's a really special feeling.' Late last year, news of their romantic proposal emerged and Dua has regularly been seen with a dazzling diamond ring on her finger. Speaking of their wedding plans, Dua said she hopes to finish her tour and Callum to wrap up filming before they tie the knot. While the wedding hasn't been at the forefront of her mind amid her busy schedule touring, she did admit she has started to think about her dress. She said: 'I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting, so we're just enjoying this period. 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'' Dua said she's 'obsessed' with her engagement ring, before insisting 'It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.' Dua and Callum were first linked in January 2024 and reportedly got engaged over Christmas in 2024. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Dua and Callum had 'many Sliding Doors moments', where they were in the same place at the same time without realising, before being introduced to one another at the River Cafe in London. A year later, she was having dinner in Los Angeles with her friend Mustafa the Poet when 'all of a sudden' Callum appeared. She thought: 'Oh, it's that really hot guy from The River Cafe.' During their conversation, the pair realised they both 'just happened to be reading' Hernan Diaz's novel Trust. Asked if she feels they were destined to be together, she replied: 'One thousand per cent.' Dua and Callum first sparked romance rumours in January 2024 when they both attended a Masters Of The Air afterparty in London. Prior to making her relationship public, the Dance the Night songstress revealed during promotion for her album Radical Optimism that she had to find her 'confidence' again after previous relationships had gone awry. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she revealed: 'In terms of relationships, I needed to get to this place in order to find what I really needed. You have to be in the act of forgiveness and growing and learning, and being okay with the past in order to move on with what's to come next. 'So it's, for me, Happy for You is a beautiful, happy song, because it's so reflective of my journey. 'I think with every relationship, with every experience you learn about yourself, you learn about things that are hurtful to you, what you expect, what you should be ready to give as well. 'I think, again, it goes back to that exchange of vulnerability. 'I think I've had relationships which have been really hurtful, especially earlier on, where I feel like I've been made to feel like not good enough or have made me lose my confidence and I've had to find that again. 'You learn about your own non-negotiables. I think that's an important thing. It's of course the right person, but it's really about the right relationship. 'You find that in friendships and in love relationships as well, of your non-negotiables.'

Rylan's mum begged Celebrity Gogglebox editors to cut out remarks
Rylan Clark and his mum Linda have been fan favourites on Celebrity Gogglebox since they joined the Channel 4 show in 2019 - but there are some conversations they've asked to be left on the cutting room floor Rylan Clark and his mum Linda have pleaded with the Celebrity Gogglebox editors to steer clear of airing certain discussions, worrying they might be "career-ending". The popular pair made their comeback on Channel 4's beloved series last week, and they're in good company with celebrities like Vernon Kay and Paddy McGuinness sharing the sofa. Previously speaking about their on-screen partnership, Rylan, 36, joked that the editors "must like" them, due to what viewers get to see of the pair on television, reports the Manchester Evening News. Rylan eagerly agreed: "We're lucky that the editors clearly like us, because the stuff they've had to cut out is career-ending." Linda chimed in with a further caution: "[I say] 'Don't you dare say what I just said'." A chuckling Rylan remarked on their editorial requests: "We're like, 'Yeah, can we not use that, please'". They've swiftly become one of the audience's top duos since joining Gogglebox in 2019, celebrated for their charming and witty rapport. Rylan shared how the show was an ideal chance for his mum to work with him; as she had declined other offers due to her Crohn's disease, which limits her outings. Chatting to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, Rylan explained: "Mum has got Crohn's [disease] as well, she doesn't really go out that much and things like that." He added: "But, when Gogglebox came along and they asked me to do it, I said, 'I would love to do it with my mum'." During their joint interview, he turned to his mum and said: "Because, you know, I think you came down to X Factor once didn't you, just one time. "So when this was the case, she lives five minutes from me, so I was like, 'Mum look it's at my house, you'll feel comfortable'." Linda added: "You feel like you're not on the telly, you just sit there." Rylan previously disclosed that out of "hundreds" of work opportunities that have come their way, a travel show was also on the cards. "It would be hilarious, but she's just not well enough to do it," he confessed to Daily Star. "Gogglebox is enough for us. She feels comfortable doing that show because we're just sat in my kitchen." According to the NHS, Crohn's disease is a chronic condition where part of the digestive system becomes inflamed. There's presently no cure, but treatments exist that can help prevent or manage the symptoms effectively. Although a travel show might be off the cards for Linda, audiences can still catch her appearances on Rylan's weekly BBC Radio 2 show and his YouTube series, Air Rylan.

A source said: 'These two Wembley shows are monumental for Dua and she wants to give her fans an extra treat. 'The deals are still being thrashed out but fans off to see Dua should expect to see these two on the stage.' It's a coup for us music fans, we're being spoilt for choice when it comes to huge gigs this summer. And while the Brit Awards is moving to Manchester, London is proving to be the hottest city in the country when it comes to music this summer. Our capital is the only place fans can catch Coldplay, Oasis, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Billie Eilish. And the stats speak for themselves, with more than 3.6million fans heading to the city this summer to watch their favourite acts. 'Shaken' Dua Lipa in terrifying security scare after fans sneak into her hotel and are found outside her bedroom 'Best in the world' I'm told 40 per cent of stadium ticket sales this summer were for artists who all started their careers in venues that held less than 1,000 people, acts such as Dua, Kendrick, Lana del Rey, Imagine Dragons and Post Malone. And ladies are doing it for themselves as female-led stadium shows account for 40 per cent of sales. Mayor of London, and self confessed Taylor Swift superfan, Sadiq Khan told me: 'Our capital's music scene is the very best in the world and this summer we have another incredible line-up of performances featuring some of the globe's biggest artists. 'From headlining acts at stadiums and festivals to upcoming stars at grassroots venues, London's music scene has so much for fans to enjoy, and we'll continue to do all we can to support our venues.' Sophie dazzled at the Hall 8 Sophie Ellis-Bextor says she gets excited about making pop music above any other genre Credit: Getty IT WAS murder on a very fancy dancefloor for Sophie Ellis-Bextor as she performed a huge sold-out show at London's Royal Albert Hall. The concert was Sophie's biggest ever headline show in the capital, with the singer performing her new single Taste from upcoming album Perimenopop, which is out on September 12. This year marks Sophie's 25th anniversary as a solo star, and she said: 'I've been singing for 30 years now and throughout my career I've been lucky enough to happily play with many music genres, but my heart beats the fastest for pop.' Of her eighth record, Sophie added: 'This album is a celebration of that relationship. 'In fact, it's a celebration of lots of things, including being the age I'm at and still having so many adventures and so much fun.' Paddy's duet dream for Soccer Aid party 8 Paddy McGuinness has his eye on the Soccer Aid after party, not just the game itself Credit: PA THEY defeated the World XI last year after a five-year losing streak – but Paddy McGuinness hasn't got his mind on taking home the trophy again ahead of Soccer Aid tomorrow. The Radio 2 DJ tells me he's got bigger fish to fry, like convincing football legend Wayne Rooney to have a go on the karaoke machine he's bringing to the after-party. Paddy, who has been part of the England XI line-up for 15 years for the charity match, which will be broadcast live on ITV tomorrow at 7:30pm, said: 'Obviously, I'd sing Islands In The Stream with Wayne – it's a classic. 'There are singers on the team – we've had some A-list stars over the years and everyone gets involved. 'But, to be honest, when the karaoke machine comes out, that's when the professional singers have to step aside and let the rest of us have our moment.' 8 Paddy is aiming to convince Wayne Rooney to let loose on the karaoke machine Credit: ©UNICEF/Soccer Aid Productions/Stella Pictures Paddy is joining Dragons' Den's Steven Bartlett, former Olympian Sir Mo Farah, adventurer and TV presenter Bear Grylls, and former footballers Gary Neville and Joe Hart in the England XI team. They will be up against a team that includes boxer Tony Bellew, Strictly's Gorka Marquez and Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd. This year, Paddy revealed that the training schedule had been cut down from five days to two, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been taking it seriously at home in preparation for his moment in goal. He said: 'I keep myself fit and healthy. 'I'm going to be back in goal, so I've been doing a lot of yoga and stretching, and I've always loved combat training. I do karate. 'One year, I stopped Usain Bolt from scoring a goal with a karate roundhouse kick to the ball. 'He was already celebrating with his arms in the air, it was a real close one. 'It was like, 'I didn't know Paddy could put his leg over his head!'' WILL SMITH has admitted he needed some A-list encouragement to write his new album Based On A True Story. On Capital XTRA Breakfast, he said: 'Jay Z said, 'Don't even make music if you're not going to be honest.' 'That was the deep push for me.' Jord's hair of importance 8 Jordan North is a bigger diva than Mariah Carey, claims Summertime Ball co-host Sian Welby Credit: Getty MARIAH CAREY has been demanding loads of dressing rooms for Capital's Summertime Ball tomorrow but there will be an even bigger diva at Wembley Stadium for the sold-out show – Jordan North. The Capital Breakfast show host is even more of a primadonna than the Fantasy singer, according to his hilarious co-host Sian Welby, with Jordan. In an exclusive chat, she said: 'Jordan is the biggest diva. 'He's got his makeup and, in an interview, he's so busy looking at the cameras, checking his hair out that he gets lost in the interview. 'He has his own barber come into the studio and he wears a cape. And then two days later, he wants a fresh trim. "He would have a barber following him around if he could. 'He'd have special lighting. 'He'd have a tanning booth.' Sian said that working with her male co-hosts is amazing, adding: 'It's like having brothers – we can rip the p**s out of each other.' And she reckons they have hit their stride as a trio, with their show broadcast nationally. She added: 'I'm usually self-deprecating but the combo of me, Chris Stark, and Jordan is just the right timing and the right mix of personalities. 'I feel like we're in some sort of golden era of radio.' Tim's a fall guy 8 James singer Tim Booth carried on performing after taking a tumble during a live performance Credit: FPS Images - 2025 - All rights reserved. JAMES frontman Tim Booth took their 1990 hit Sit Down to heart at the Summer Sessions festival after falling off the stage. The Manchester born singer took a tumble while performing at the event at Plymouth Hoe. Ever the professional, Tim carried on singing – much to the amusement of the crowd. One fan told me: 'One moment Tim was singing and greeting fans, the next he'd gone ar*e over tit. 'He had jumped down from the main stage onto a smaller platform towards the barriers. 'As he jumped to the floor he looked like he rolled his ankle and dropped straight to the ground. 'It took him a couple of attempts to get off the floor, but he continued singing the whole time.' What a trooper.
