Korean Indie Band ADOY To Perform In KL This May; Ticketing Details Announced
We have a packed concert lineup this year, featuring both local and international acts, and nearly half of the announced shows are K-pop. That said, there hasn't been much news on Korean indie bands making their way to Malaysia for a special performance for fans.
That's all about to change, as one band will be making their way to our shores very soon! In case you haven't heard, ADOY (아도이) will be performing a one-night-only concert in Kuala Lumpur later this month, making this their first visit to Malaysia.
Since the release of their debut EP 'Catnip' back in 2017, which drew significant attention in the Korean indie scene, topping the Korean indie sales chart multiple times and earning nominations at the Korean Music Awards, ADOY have remained consistent in both music production and live performance. They began by touring pubs and clubs in their hometown, quickly rising to become one of the most sought-after acts at Korea's biggest rock festivals. More recently, they have completed headline tours across Asia and the United States, with upcoming shows scheduled in regions such as Europe and Australia.
ADOY's music evokes simple, intuitive feelings: summer, the ocean, waves, surfing, small talk, and youth. The little things that make you smile. These images are interwoven with sounds of city pop, 80s romantic pop, classic indie rock, dream pop, and more. The band blend these influences into their signature synth-based soundscapes, creating a genre-fluid listening experience that's both nostalgic and refreshing.
