Edwards and the Wolves fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, making it the second-straight year they were bounced just before the NBA Finals. KD might be the missing piece to help out Ant and his squad. Based on their impressive abilities to take over games, it's hard to argue against wanting to watch these two All-Stars as a lethal combination in Minnesota. Edwards ranked fourth this past season, averaging 27.6 points, with KD averaging a point less at the sixth spot. In addition, both players averaged over four assists and nearly six boards per game. The dangerous combo could certainly boost Minnesota's starting lineup to another level. For Durant, he's moved from team to team during his superstar career, including several seasons with Golden State that resulted in two championships. He's certainly got the experience and talent to help Ant-Man finally get what he seems on the cusp of achieving. INDIANAPOLIS — WNBA All-Star weekend is just over a month away, and Indianapolis is deep in preparations to host the game. Starting Thursday, fans will have a big part in deciding who will take the court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 19. Fan voting for WNBA All-Star runs from June 12 to 28, and the All-Stars will be announced in early July. Advertisement Here's how voting for All-Star works. How are WNBA All-Stars decided? The WNBA selects All-Stars from a combination of fan, player, media and coach voting. Fans account for 50% of the initial vote, while player and media selections account for 25% each. The league will then combine all of those scores, and the four frontcourt players and six guards with the top combined votes will become the All-Star starters. The coaches will then vote to select the 12 total reserves. They are required to vote for three guards and five frontcourt players, then can vote for four players regardless of position. They cannot vote for players on their own team. How will the All-Star Game work? The 2024 season saw 12 All-Stars, selected similarly to the 2025 process, play Team USA before they headed off to the Paris Olympics. The two All-Star starters that have the most fan votes will become the two captains, and they will be part of a draft to pick their respective teams. It's a good thing too — otherwise the event being thrown in his honor at the team's home stadium this weekend might be a little awkward. While the White Sox play the Rangers in Texas on Saturday afternoon, the Archdiocese of Chicago will be at Rate Field celebrating the new leader of the Catholic Church — who was born and raised on the city's South Side — with a Mass by Chicago Archbishop Blase J. It's as adorable as it sounds While the man once known as Robert Prevost won't be there in person, he will appear in what event organizers describe as "a video message from Pope Leo XIV to the young people of the world." Leo will also be represented in mural form. The White Sox unveiled a graphic installation featuring his likeness on a concourse wall before a May 19 game against the Seattle Mariners, less than two weeks after Leo was selected as the first U.S.-born pope.
