Being bullied is hard for anyone.
On Feb. 26, Canada celebrated Pink Shirt Day.
Every year on this day, people wear pink shirts to take a stand against bullying.
The day started when two Grade 12 boys saw a ninth-grade student get bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
The older boys handed out 50 pink shirts to their fellow students to support the bullied kid.
Acts of courage and kindness, like this one, can help people who are being bullied overcome a difficult situation.
Last week, we asked our audience: "What's your story of overcoming bullying?"
Kids across Canada submitted their answers. We received many thoughtful responses and selected a few to showcase.

New Minecraft movie has kids screaming, cheering and throwing popcorn
Game-inspired film breaking box office records Not so surprisingly, the best-selling video game of all time is seeing even more success with the movie based on its world of blocks, pickaxes and monsters. Over the weekend, A Minecraft Movie made an estimated $301 million US globally, making it the biggest opening for a movie so far this year. It also broke the record for the most money earned by a video game adaptation during its opening weekend, which was previously held by The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The new PG-rated movie is led by Jack Black and Jason Momoa. Their characters are transported into an imaginative dimension called the Overworld, where they embark on an absurd and dangerous journey to get home. #ICYMI — Super Mario Bros. Movie sets new box office record Kids shouting in excitement Sorry adults, but if you were hoping to watch this movie in a quiet theatre, you can forget about that. If you were also hoping for a cinematic masterpiece, you might be out of luck there, too — Rotten Tomatoes critics have given it a 47 per cent score. But kids seem to be losing their minds with joy. Users all over social media have been sharing videos and posts about kids all over the globe clapping, cheering, screaming and even yelling famous meme lines during the movie. Along with screams of joy and unfiltered excitement, a lot of the videos shared show moviegoers throwing popcorn and other food at the screen. CBC Kids News was unable to independently verify the videos. In an email to CBC Kids News, Ciniplex Odeon did not comment on reports of chaotic behaviour in theatres but asks that moviegoers be respectful and abide by their code of conduct. That includes not throwing popcorn. Videos shared on social media show kids and other moviegoers throwing popcorn and other food during the new Minecraft movie. (Image credit: eddie_vikings13/TikTok) Without spoiling too much, there is a viral moment from the movie featuring a character named Chicken Jockey that moviegoers have been going especially wild for. In the film, Black and Momoa face a baby zombie who rides a chicken during a boxing match, at which point Black's character yells 'Chicken Jockey!' A chicken jockey is a rare sighting in the Minecraft video game where a baby zombie or other character is seen riding a chicken. The moment in the movie has caused particular uproar and exuberance — so if you're bothered by loud noises, that might be a good time to plug your ears. Have more questions? WATCH — Winnipeg is the Slurpee capital of the world. See what kids think
Slurpee is a 7-Eleven brand, but there are all kinds of slushy drinks to try Before a recent visit to Winnipeg, Manitoba, our CBC Kids News journalists learned the city is known as the Slurpee capital of the world — despite being cold for much of the year. CBC Kids News reached out to the company that sells the icy treats, 7-Eleven. Company reps confirmed that the Canadian city has held the title for more than 20 years. According to the 7-Eleven website, more Slurpees are consumed in Winnipeg than anywhere else in the world. CBC Kids News asked 7-Eleven to back up that claim with stats, but they wouldn't share their data with us. Some Canadian cities don't have 7-Eleven locations. Since Slurpee is a 7-Eleven brand, kids in some places, like Montreal, Quebec, or Halifax, Nova Scotia, wouldn't be able to buy them anyway. As warmer temperatures approach, we thought it would be fun to talk about sweet, icy drinks that keep you cool. Keep reading to learn about some slushy alternatives from around the world that you might want to try. But first, click play to hear what kids and teens in Winnipeg had to say about their city's Slurpee love!⬇️⬇️⬇️ Other slushy drinks to try If you're already thinking about icy treats to enjoy this summer, you have lots of options. Have you tried any of these from other parts of the world? Granita: Love fresh summer treats? Granitas may be for you. This refreshing dessert can be traced back to Italy. Granitas are more coarse than typical slushies and can be eaten with a spoon or a straw. Popular flavours include lemon pistachio and peach. Boba slush: A treat within a treat. The boba slush comes in tasty flavours like lychee and taro, and often has tapioca at the bottom. But you can also get it with other mix-ins, like grass jelly, pudding, and hot brown sugar. Sorry to burst your boba: Bubble tea supplies running low in Canada Modern boba was created in Taiwan during the 1980s. Since then, it's become an international sensation. Other slushy-makers All these frosty drinks got us wondering: if Winnipeg is the Slurpee capital, how many slushies do other cities slurp? We tried our best to find out. CBC Kids News reached out to some other slushy-makers — Slush Puppie, Icee and Circle K, home of the Froster — and even Statistics Canada, but they didn't get back to us in time for the publishing of this article.
