Dubai, United Arab Emirates: A recent Mastercard study found that entrepreneurship is nearly equally embraced by both genders in the UAE, with 49 percent of women and 47 percent of men surveyed identifying as entrepreneurs, highlighting the country's dynamic business environment.

This membership restructuring announcement was made at a special Women's Day event, where Vice Chairman of the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, Mrs. Bubbles Kaur Khandari, was felicitated. Indian airline IndiGo orders 30 Airbus A350 widebody planes
Indian airline IndiGo said on Sunday it had signed an order for 30 more Airbus A350-900s, bringing its shopping list for the widebody aircraft from the European aircraft manufacturer to 60. 'We are placing a firm order for 30 Airbus A350-900s,' said Pieter Elbers, the CEO of IndiGo, a company founded in 2006 and already behind the largest contract by volume in the history of civil aviation -- 500 Airbus single-aisle aircraft by 2023. The Indian low-cost carrier, the country's biggest by market share, is positioning itself as a significant player in the long-haul market. 'This strategic move will enable IndiGo to spread its wings further and expand its long-haul international network', the company said in a statement. 'This is yet another step in defining the airline's long-term plans of international expansion'. The A350 planes, with ranges of up to 15,000 kilometres (9,300 miles), will allow it to further expand its network. Overall, IndiGo has placed orders for around 1,000 aircraft from the A320 family, Airbus's most successful model and rival of the Boeing 737 MAX, which has endured multiple setbacks after a series of safety scares. Willie Walsh, director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which began its annual industry conference in New Delhi on Sunday, said 'the development of India's air connectivity in recent years has been nothing short of phenomenal'. Indian domestic air growth is 'running at over 10 percent' per year, Walsh said, ahead of the conference. The growth of its economy has made India and its 1.4 billion people the world's fourth-largest air market -- domestic and international -- with IATA projecting it will become the third biggest within the decade. Ajman Port set for expansion under new agreement worth AED 1 billion
Ajman Port will undergo an expansion under an AED 1 billion investment agreement between Department of Port & Customs Ajman (DPC) and Hutchison Ports. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will draw out a development plan for the port that will enhance handling efficiency, attract new shipping lines, align with digital transformation plans and solidify its position as a vital logistics hub in the region. It will also launch AI-powered programmess for port operations through an integrated 15-year plan aimed at managing, operating and developing the port. After witnessing the signing of the MoU, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, said the move will play a key role in stimulating the local economy by supporting supply operations and facilitating export and import activities through the provision of sustainable, eco-friendly infrastructure, while focusing on developing national talents and equipping them with modern port management skills. "We believe that port development is an investment in the future of trade, food security, and economic growth," he added. Trump says Pakistani representatives coming to US next week for trade talks
US President Donald Trump said on Friday representatives from Pakistan are coming to the United States next week as the South Asian country seeks to make a deal on tariffs. Pakistan faces a potential 29% tariff on its exports to the United States due to a $3 billion trade surplus with the world's biggest economy, under tariffs announced by Washington last month on countries around the world. Trump said he would have no interest in making a deal with the South Asian country or its neighbour, India, if they were to engage in war with each other. The two nuclear-armed rivals used fighter jets, missiles, drones and artillery in four days of clashes this month, their worst fighting in decades. "As you know, we're very close making a deal with India," Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews after departing Air Force One. Indian Trade Minister Piyush Goyal visited Washington recently to advance trade talks, with both sides aiming to sign an interim agreement by early July. India faces 26% tariffs on shipments to the US.
