According to reports, Piyush passed away on Saturday after a prolonged battle with liver cirrhosis. He worked as a digital marketing professional.
Television actress Shubhangi Atre, known for her role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, is currently mourning the death of her ex-husband, Piyush Poorey. According to reports, Piyush passed away on Saturday after a prolonged battle with liver cirrhosis. He worked as a digital marketing professional.
Confirming the news to TOI, Shubhangi expressed her grief, saying, 'Your thoughtfulness during this time means a great deal to me. I request you to give me some time to talk about this."
A source close to the actress revealed that Shubhangi and Piyush were not in touch at the time of his passing. 'She is mourning. She resumed shooting for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai on Sunday," the source added.
Shubhangi and Piyush got married in 2003 and have a daughter, Ashi, who was born in 2006. The couple was together for over two decades before finalising their divorce on February 5, 2025.
In an earlier interview with Bombay Times, Shubhangi had opened up about the breakdown of her marriage. 'It was painful. I was fully invested in the relationship. Over time, Piyush and I developed irreconcilable differences," she had shared.
She went on to say, 'However, now that I'm out of that marriage, I feel a sense of peace, as if a heavy burden has been lifted. I want to focus on my daughter and provide her with a happy and secure environment."
The actress also noted that they had stopped living together nearly a year before their legal separation. Despite their best efforts to make the relationship work, they eventually realised they were unable to resolve their differences.
Shubhangi continues to star in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, a long-running comedy show where she plays the popular character Angoori Bhabi.

Virat Kohli's Brother Vikas Reacts To Rahul Vaidya's Blocking Row: ‘Isse Achha Singing Pe Dhyan Dete'

Last Updated: Singer Rahul Vaidya opens up about being blocked by Virat Kohli and reveals how Vikas Kohli reacted to the controversy involving Avneet Kaur. The tension between singer Rahul Vaidya and cricketer Virat Kohli made headlines recently, sparking online buzz and fan backlash. The issue began when Rahul hinted that the RCB champion had liked a post featuring actress Avneet Kaur, prompting a response that shook social media. Rahul later claimed that Virat blocked him following the comment, and also alleged that the cricketer's fans targeted his family – including his wife and daughter – with abusive messages. Now, in a recent chat with Instant Bollywood, Rahul has opened up further about the fallout. He shared that Virat's brother, Vikas Kohli, personally reached out to him after the incident and expressed displeasure about his public remarks involving the Indian cricket star. Rahul recalled, 'After the incident, his brother had said some things to me. 'Isse accha aap apni singing pe dhyaan dijiye.' He is the same Vikas Kohli who had met me outside a stadium in Manchester and praised my singing. But I know how it feels because these small controversies also have an impact on the person's family. He did not like whatever was happening, and that's the reason he said all these things to me." Reflecting on what Vikas said, the singer added, ''Aap kyu Virat ke baare mein bol rahe ho? Aap kyu publicity le rahe ho?' He said something like this, I don't remember the exact words. Then he said, 'Isse achha toh aap apne singing pe dhyan dete.' I know Vikas is a good guy, and I have not taken anything he said to my heart. Because the problem is that people just want to react without even knowing what the matter is." For those unfamiliar, the drama began when Rahul commented on Virat allegedly liking a social media post related to Avneet Kaur. Things escalated when Rahul revealed he was blocked by Kohli and became the target of fan outrage, including verbal attacks aimed at his loved ones. This ongoing back-and-forth has drawn mixed reactions online, with many weighing in on whether celebrities should call each other out publicly or handle matters privately. BTS' Jimin and Jungkook set to complete military service on June 11 — here's the exact time and what fans can expect

As BTS members gradually complete their mandatory military service, all eyes are now on Jimin (Park Jimin) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook), who are set to be discharged next. Following RM (Kim Namjoon) and V's (Kim Taehyung) recent return on June 10, the duo will officially conclude their service on June 11, 2024, marking another milestone in BTS' journey toward a full group reunion in 2025. Jimin and Jungkook's discharge: Date and time Following the recent discharges of RM and V, Jimin and Jungkook are preparing to complete their mandatory military service on Wednesday, June 11, 2024, at 8:00 AM KST, according to Korean media reports. The duo enlisted together on December 12, 2023, under South Korea's "companion enlistment" program, which allowed them to undergo basic training and serve in the same unit, the 5th Infantry Division. Their discharge marks another step toward BTS's full group reunion, with only Suga remaining in service until June 21, 2025. For fans around the world eagerly awaiting their return, the discharge time converts to June 10 at 7:00 PM EDT (New York), 4:00 PM PDT (Los Angeles), June 11 at 12:00 AM BST (London), 4:30 AM IST (India), and 9:00 AM AEST (Sydney). While the military does not hold public discharge ceremonies, Big Hit Music is expected to release an official statement, and the members may share updates via Weverse or social media shortly after their release. Just like RM and V during their recent discharges, Jimin and Jungkook are expected to briefly greet the press outside their military base, interact with fans, and then head straight to HYBE. Shortly after arriving at the company, the duo will likely hold a Weverse Live broadcast to reconnect with ARMYs worldwide, where they may share updates about their future plans, including potential solo activities before BTS' full group reunion in 2025. Additionally, given Jungkook's notorious habit of hopping on impromptu late-night Weverse lives (often treating fans to raw, unfiltered moments), ARMYs should stay alert—he might just log on spontaneously post-discharge for an unplanned midnight heart-to-heart. Meanwhile, following their military discharge, both RM and V shared their plans to return to music, including an album release and concerts. However, they've yet to announce their future projects officially. For all the latest K-drama, K-pop, and Hallyuwood updates, keep following our coverage here.
