How to Train Your Dragon box office collection Day 4: Live-action film sees drop in collections on Monday after impressive weekend debut
The live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon has delivered a promising start at the Indian box office, crossing an estimated ₹11.73 crore net in its first four days. Despite a sharp dip in collections on Monday, the film's strong weekend performance signals robust audience interest in high-quality family entertainment.
The Dean DeBlois-directed remake — a reimagining of the beloved DreamWorks animated franchise — opened with Rs 2.15 crore on Friday and saw impressive growth over the weekend, collecting Rs 4 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday. This took its opening weekend total to Rs 10.65 crore net.
However, Monday witnessed a notable slump, with the film earning an estimated Rs 1.08 crore — a huge drop from Sunday. Despite the decline, the film's four-day total now stands at an estimated Rs 11.73 crore.
According to the production house, How to Train Your Dragon grossed an estimated Rs 14 crore over its opening weekend in India, marking the biggest Indian debut for the franchise to date. It also ranks as the biggest opening weekend for a family film in 2025, and the fifth-highest among MPA (Motion Picture Association) titles released this year. Its performance also places it among the top-performing animation-to-live-action adaptations of the post-pandemic era.

Thug Life box office collection day 12: Kamal Haasan–Mani Ratnam film is a cataclysmic bomb, won't pass Rs 50 crore
Thug Life box office collection day 12: And just like that, one of the most hyped Indian movies of the year, director Mani Ratnam's Kamal Haasan-starrer Thug Life, has bombed at the box office, with the prospects of it crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in global gross now appearing extremely slim. Shockingly, its 12th-day collection in the domestic market was 44 times lower than what Thug Life earned on its release day, June 5. Based on current figures, the Mani Ratnam directorial has emerged as an even bigger box office disaster than recent South Indian bombs like Indian 2 (2024), Game Changer (2025) and Kanguva (2024). On its second Monday in theatres, Thug Life recorded an India nett collection of just Rs 35 lakh, marking a 61.11 per cent drop in daily earnings compared to its Sunday figure of Rs 90 lakh, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. Though the gangster drama had opened to Rs 15.5 crore in the domestic market, it saw a sharp decline almost immediately due to extremely poor reviews. By its sixth day, Thug Life's India nett collection had already fallen below the Rs 2 crore mark. The film's total domestic collections currently stand at Rs 46 crore, against a reported budget of over Rs 200 crore. On its 12th day in theatres, the film witnessed an overall occupancy of just 16.45 per cent in the Tamil market. While morning shows began with a 14.80 per cent occupancy rate, it improved only marginally as the day unfolded, with the afternoon, evening and night screenings recording 16.03 per cent, 16.81 per cent and 18.16 per cent, respectively. Despite receiving relatively better reviews than director S Shankar's Indian 2 and Game Changer, and Siva's Kanguva, Thug Life has been performing far more poorly at the box office. While Indian 2, which also features Kamal Haasan in the lead role, earned Rs 1.25 crore on its 12th day in theatres, Ram Charan's Game Changer and Suriya's Kanguva had registered Rs 1 crore and Rs 47 lakh, respectively, on the corresponding day. During their theatrical run, Game Changer grossed Rs 186.25 crore globally, while Indian 2 made Rs 148.83 crore and Kanguva Rs 106.25 crore. In contrast, Thug Life has managed to earn only Rs 95.5 crore so far.

20 years in a coma: Did Saudi's 'sleeping prince' finally open his eyes, Here is the truth behind the viral video
Credit: X A video circulating widely on social media platforms has reignited curiosity among thousands of social media users. This video claims to be of Saudi Arabia's 'sleeping prince', who has allegedly woken up after 20 years in a coma. However, multiple Indian media outlets have fact-checked the claim in this viral video, debunking the myth that the man in this video is NOT the prince but someone else entirely. Let us get into the nitty-gritty of this viral claim. Who is the so-called 'sleeping prince'? The sleeping prince here is referred to as Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal Al Saud, a member of Saudi Arabia's royal family, who slipped into a deep coma back in the year 2005, following a traumatic car accident while studying at a military college. Despite minimal brain activity and being declared in a vegetative state, his family has insisted on keeping him on life support in the hope that one day a miracle will strike and wake their precious son. DNA fact-check confirmed that 'The viral claim that Saudi Arabia's 'Sleeping Prince' woke up from a 20-year coma is false; the video shows rally driver Yazeed Mohamed Al-Rajhi.' The viral video shows that a man is lying on a hospital bed, slowly opening his eyes and appearing to respond to family members who are gathered around his hospital bed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo This footage, although emotional, was completely false. Upon closer verification and confirmation, leading news media outlets have confirmed that the man in the video is not Prince Al-Waleed. credit: X But who is the man in the video? As first stated by NDTV, clarifying that 'A viral video claiming that Prince Al‑Waleed woke up is false; it features another person, Yazeed Mohamed Al‑Rajhi.' The man in this viral video is identified as Yazeed Mohammed Al-Rajhi, a well-established Saudi rally driver and businessman. And has no connection to the medical condition of Prince Al-Waleed; his presence in this viral video clip appears to be a case of misidentification. This confusion has arisen due to the physical similarities between the two, but the context and background appear to be opposite from each other. As mentioned by NDTV in its report, 'Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud has been in a coma since 2005 following a serious car accident while studying at a military college. Despite medical advice in 2015 to withdraw life support, his father, Prince Khalid bin Talal, chose to continue treatment in the hope of a miracle. The report further states that while occasional videos showing minor reflexive movements have surfaced over the years, including one in 2019, there has been no verified sign of recovery. NDTV clarified that the man in the recent viral video is not the prince but Saudi billionaire and rally driver Yazeed Mohamed Al-Rajhi, who had been injured in a motorsport accident and is recovering.' The importance of verifying and debunking the viral content In the age of social media and hasty claims, a bigger issue persists of verifying facts from established sources. If not done before, it will lead to issues such as fake or paid news. In the case of this viral video, however, the 'Sleeping Prince' remains in a coma, under long-term care, with no credible evidence of awakening. As the situation continues to evoke empathy worldwide, trusted journalism remains essential in separating hope from hype.
