Tiffany Salmond: Glamorous footy reporter who 'triggered' colleague's relationship break-up reveals the shocking and illegal thing criminals did with her bikini photo
Popular NRL presenter Tiffany Salmond has hit out at criminals online after being targeted in a deepfake photo attack, revealing that it's not the first time it has happened to her.
The 27-year-old New Zealand-based sports reporter took to social media on Monday morning to reveal that a photo she had posted to Instagram had been doctored and then shared.
'This morning I posted a photo of myself in a bikini,' Salmond posted on Instagram.
'Within hours a deepfake AI video was reportedly created and circulated.
'It's not the first time this has happened to me, and I know I'm not the only woman in sport this is happening to.'
Salmond added: 'You don't make deepfakes of women you overlook. You make them of women you can't control.
'This is what it looks like when a woman commands space, attention and presence. It threatens people.
'But I'm not threatened. I'm not flattered and I'm not going anywhere.
'It's not the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last.'
Salmond's shocking ordeal comes just weeks after NRLW star Jamie Chapman reported a similar incident about individuals doctoring her photos.
The 23-year-old also took to Instagram to slam the 'scary' and 'damaging' effect the deepfake images have had on her.
'Have a good day to everyone except those who make fake ai photos of other people,' she wrote.
'AI is scary these days.
'Next time think of how damaging this can be to someone and their loved ones.
'This has happened a few times now and it needs to stop.'
NSW Police are now investigating the alleged deepfake images of Champan.
In 2024, Salmond reportedly made a phone call to footy reporter Jake Duke that triggered the end of his relationship with Channel Seven presenter Grace Fitzgibbon.
It's understood that the call which came in the 'wee hours' of the morning that February, caused a rift between Duke and Fitzgibbon.
The pair had been dating for over three years, but the news became apparent that they were parting ways after she published an image on social media of a load of cardboard boxes.

NRL player Matt Allwood who became a TV star suffers horror spinal injury in tackle gone wrong
Former Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors star Matt Allwood is awaiting surgery after suffering a serious spinal injury during a match last Saturday. The 32-year-old - who also starred in the most recent season of Alone Australia on SBS - was badly hurt when he stopped a rival player from scoring a try while playing his first match for the Dora Creek Swampies. The club, which is located on the NSW central coast, has launched an appeal to help the father of three, who is currently unable to work. 'Matt Allwood - a proud father, husband and incredible football player took the field as a Swampie for the first time on Saturday against Waratah,' the club wrote. 'As Matt made an incredible try saving tackle, he unfortunately injured himself, sustaining a very serious spinal injury. 'Matt has an uncertain road to recovery, and is unable to work as he is still awaiting to find out the full extent of his injuries and awaiting surgery, this certainly will put a strain on the young family.' The former Raiders and Warriors player (pictured with his family) was badly hurt while he made a try-saving tackle The Raiders - where Allwood played in 2014 before switching to the Warriors - also directed their fans to the fundraiser on social media. Allwood appeared on Alone Australia earlier this year, with the show challenging Aussies to survive for as long as possible after being dropped off in separate wilderness areas where they are devoid of human contact. He lasted 16 days in the bush in the rugged West Coast Range of Tasmania as he competed against nine others. 'To be honest, I was rattled,' he said after returning to civilisation. 'It was too much being out there on my own away from my family with no contact.' After the show aired, his wife Ainsely posted a heartfelt message to him on Facebook. ''SO BLOODY PROUD OF YOU MATTY!!' she wrote. 'Anyone sitting at home on their couch watching, thinking they could do better, go on. APPLY!! 'Like to see you not eat for 10 days. 'Longest 1st tap out in the history of Alone Australia and 2nd longest tap out in history of the whole Alone Series!' Allwood's upbringing on a NSW cattle farm was great preparation for the show, and his Instagram account is full of videos and photos of him practising his bushcraft. 'Growing up, I didn't watch Bob the Builder - I was out hunting grandpa's rabbits,' he told the Warriors.

Idiotic way cafe worker was caught after allegedly trying to import drugs
A cafe worker is accused of attempting to import more than $600,000 worth of ketamine after allegedly having it mailed to his old workplace. A manager at Al Dente in Martin Place, Sydney 's CBD, opened a parcel that had been delivered to the business on Tuesday. The packages allegedly contained 4kg of ketamine concealed in four resealable bags inside card game boxes. Following inquiries, police moved in on a Bondi address and arrested 34-year-old, Italian national Giacomo Granzotto. The chef was due to fly out of the country on June 23. Granzotto was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with possessing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug. He was denied bail to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday. Granzotto had worked at Al Dente from December last year until March 2025. The Martin Place pasta bar is a favourite for workers in the nearby banks and state parliament. None of the business' employees were charged, and Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting the café manager or any other work was involved in the incident. The cafe is in the same building as premier Chris Minns' office.

Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis sparks speculation she is pregnant with confusing Instagram post
Martha Kalifatidis sent fans into a frenzy on Wednesday after a confusing social media post had them questioning if she was expecting another baby. The former Married At First Sight star, 37, gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of a fashion event she attended last week. The dinner, which was hosted by Aussie brand VRG GRL, welcomed the likes of celebrity hair guru Gabrielle Roccuzzo, stylist Jess Pecoraro and content creator Emily Yates. Martha, who already shares son Lucius with fiancé Michael Brunelli, stunned in a bright red button-up top, which she stylishly paired with baggy jeans, blue strappy heels and chunky Anna Rossi bangles on her arms. In the photo dump, the reality star shared pictures of the dimly lit restaurant, bowls of ravioli pasta and her glamorous friends - as well as a photo of a pregnant belly dressed in the same red cardigan. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Fans of the MAFS star flooded the comments section to point out the picture, speculating whether the photo was of Martha and if she was in fact pregnant. 'Who else ran straight to the comments to see if they saw what they think they saw....' one person wrote of the suggestive snap. 'Congrats if you're preggas…' one fan sweetly wrote, while another penned: 'The baby is coming.' Another sent Martha well-wishes, writing: 'Queen you're so brave and wish you all the besssssst with this pregnancy.' 'Did I just see a 'bump',' another asked. It didn't take long for one fan to figure out that the belly didn't belong to Martha, but rather her friend and influencer Oriwa LeFevre, who wore the same top on the night out. 'It's @oriwa everyone, you nearly got us Martha,' the fan wrote. This isn't the first time pregnancy rumours have swirled around the social media personality. In January, Martha addressed rumours she is expecting her second child in an Instagram post, giving her fans a glimpse at her idyllic vacation in Thailand with fiancé Michael Brunelli and the couple's young son, Lucius. In the caption, she told her fans she'd been offline as she was on holiday, after going two weeks without posting to Instagram. 'Hi everyone. I'm not pregnant (thanks for asking though),' she wrote in her caption alongside the series of images. 'I was just having some time off in Thailand. It was swell, missed you all,' she continued. In the photos, Martha showed off her figure in a black swimsuit as she enjoyed a soak with her toddler. She also kicked back on a boat, as well as working her angles in the shallows of the turquoise ocean.
