McDonald's Makes Massive Change to Restaurant Hours Nationwide

Yahoo23-05-2025

McDonald's hours of operation are changing this summer.
The beloved burger joint knows that longer days can also mean longer nights, so it's extending its late-night hours at almost all of its locations in the U.S.
According to a statement from a company spokesperson, "a vast majority" of McDonald's locations nationwide will now be open until midnight or later beginning this summer and throughout the year.
To prepare for the big shift, the fast food giant said it plans to hire somewhere around 375,000 new employees.
The spokesperson also said most of the menu will be available during those extended late-night hours, with some room for leeway as McDonald's will leave certain decisions up to individual franchisees. So you should be able to get that McFlurry or the new Chicken Strips and tangy dipping sauce, even after midnight (whether or not breakfast menu items will be made available is currently unclear).

There are a few exceptions to the rule regarding the new hours, with restaurants in "non-traditional locations" like airports, rest stops, and shopping malls not expected to enforce the extension.
This latest update follows several other recent revisions announced by Mickey D's, including the introduction of some CosMc's items to regular McDonald's menus, the permanent addition of real lemonade, along with upgraded breakfast offers—not to mention its plans for the future of CosMc's locations.

Red Lobster Makes Huge Announcement 1 Year After Filing for Bankruptcy

Red Lobster Makes Huge Announcement 1 Year After Filing for Bankruptcy originally appeared on Parade. Red Lobster has some pretty big news to share, especially for WNBA fans in the Chicago area. On Thursday, the chain of fast-casual seafood restaurants revealed a new collaboration of sorts, but this time, there's no limited-edition drink involved. Instead, Red Lobster is an official partner of the Chicago Sky for the 2025 WNBA season. The new partnership allows the beloved chain to host "tunnel walks" and sponsor different engagement activities, per the official announcement. Red Lobster will also roll out a red carpet for players at events and games throughout the season, among other appetizing promotional opportunities like in-stadium advertising and mid-game giveaways. Related: "We're thrilled to partner with Red Lobster to showcase Sky players on the red-carpet during pre-game tunnel walks, one of the signature opportunities to celebrate players' fashion and style," said Alex Teodosi, VP of corporate partnerships for Chicago Sky, in a statement. "We also look forward to introducing exciting new Red Lobster menu options and offerings to Skytown." Red Lobster currently operates about 22 restaurants in Illinois, with many others in the surrounding area, according to the May 29 press release, which also explained the company picked this particular partnership as "Chicago has long been an important market." "We are excited to team up with the Chicago Sky and their incredible roster for the 2025 season," Nichole Robillard, Red Lobster's chief marketing officer, added. "Sports is a powerful platform, and supporting women in sports aligns with our company values. We look forward to celebrating the talent, passion, and impact these athletes bring to the game and their communities." The big announcement, coincidentally, comes just a few days after the one-year anniversary of Red Lobster filing for bankruptcy and social media users failing to keep it together over the idea of the restaurant shuttering for good. Since filing for bankruptcy, Red Lobster underwent a restructuring and closed over one hundred restaurant locations, even earning the support celebrities like , who once promised to "save" the company. What a difference one year can make! This Fan-Favorite Restaurant Just Abruptly Closed One of Its Last Locations—Here's What We Know So Far

This Fan-Favorite Restaurant Just Abruptly Closed One of Its Last Locations—Here's What We Know So Far originally appeared on Parade. There's no denying that fast-casual chains and the restaurants we know and love are having a bit of a precarious moment amid growing economic uncertainty and the steadily declining trickle of consumer spending. Today's buyers are a bit more discerning with their finances and are making tougher decisions about where to spend their cash and how often to do so. Legacy chains like Red Lobster, TGI Fridays, and Hooters have all seen sales decline to the point of filing for bankruptcy, and each brand has taken massive swings to try and quell the leak and win back customers who have chosen to spend their hard-earned cash the reasons for the change in consumer spending, any business that fails to evolve with the times is in danger of being left behind. One business that has been making major changes in recent months understands the path ahead and has made significant changes to its business model in hopes of keeping up. The mildly salacious and tongue-in-cheek fast-casual chain Twin Peaks went public in January, which brought on a slew of shifts in the business. In February, their executive team got a shake-up when their CEO stepped down, and a few months later, they announced that they'd be closing several Smokey Bones restaurants and rebranding them into Twin Peaks the chain is making headlines again with reports that they just closed their last location in California, ending a nearly 10-year reign in Sacramento. The sports bar chain known for its scantily clad 'Lumber Jill' waitresses announced on Monday that it was closing its last and final California location in Arden Arcade without providing an actual reason for the closure. 'To our fans, we thank you for nearly 10 years of joining us for the 'food, fun, cold beer & sports,' they said on Instagram. The post prompted a slew of responses from fans mourning the popular location. 'What happened?!' asked one fan. 'Noooooo 😢' said someone else. While we don't have the actual details or any indication of what prompted the closure, it's worth it to note that Twin Peaks is far from struggling and actually has plans to expand its book of business this year. We'll keep our eye out for what's next from the brand, but something tells us whatever it is will be Fan-Favorite Restaurant Just Abruptly Closed One of Its Last Locations—Here's What We Know So Far first appeared on Parade on Jun 11, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 11, 2025, where it first appeared.
