BREAKING NEWS Warriors star Pat Spencer headbutts opponent in wild scenes... before being congratulated by Draymond Green

Daily Mail01-05-2025

The Warriors' Pat Spencer earned an ejection - and the approval of teammate Draymond Green - on Wednesday night after head-butting an opponent.
Spencer and other backups saw court time in the second half after the game got badly out of hand in favor of the Rockets.
And Spencer certainly made his presence felt when he and teammate Trayce Jackson-Davis clashed with Houston's Alperen Sengun in the fourth quarter.
After Spencer battled Dillon Brooks for a rebound and pushed the Houston player towards the ground, the Golden State player was bumped by Sengun as he walked to the other side of the court.
The pair then got in each other's faces before Spencer head-butted the Turkish big man, before Trayce-Davis strongly shoved him back as well.
Draymond Green, who is of course no stranger to an ejection, could then be seen grinning after watching the play on the big screen.

Despite earning an ejection towards the end of the 131-116 loss, Spencer's move was applauded by his teammates as they high-fived on his way off of the court.

Report: Texans work out former Raider Damon Arnette Jr.

June 9 - The Houston Texans worked out former first-round pick Damon Arnette Jr., who has not played in the NFL since legal problems derailed his career in 2022. KPRC2 reported that Arnette worked out for the Texans on Monday ahead of the team's minicamp. The Texans are searching for secondary depth. The recent retirement of veteran cornerback Ronald Darby created uncertainty on the depth chart. Arnette, 28, was selected No. 19 overall by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2020 draft. He played in 13 games (seven starts) before Arnette was hit with felony gun charges stemming from an incident at a Las Vegas casino in January 2022. Arnette was accused of brandishing a .45-caliber handgun during an argument with casino valets. Arnette was sentenced to community service and fined $2,000 in August 2023 after agreeing to a plea deal. The Raiders released Arnette in November 2021 amid two lawsuits and a troubling video posted by the defensive back. The video showed Arnette repeatedly threatening to kill someone while brandishing what appeared to be semi-automatic weapons. The Kansas City Chiefs, who had signed Arnette to a reserve contract, released him after the arrest at the casino. Arnette most recently played for the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL, racking up 18 tackles and an interception last season. Injuries limited Arnette to 13 games (seven starts) in his one-plus seasons with the Raiders. He didn't record any interceptions and had 29 tackles. --Field Level Media

Philippe Clement singles out two Rangers stars ‘who were not good' as he points finger of blame for title bid collapse

He revealed his biggest regret from his time at the club BLAME GAME Philippe Clement singles out two Rangers stars 'who were not good' as he points finger of blame for title bid collapse Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FORMER Rangers manager Philippe Clement has singled out two of his players at Ibrox for criticism. The Belgian was sacked in February about which he's since said more patience was required from the board. Looking back on his time, Clement has suggested some of his player's heads and hearts weren't in it towards the end. Speaking to the BBC, he said: 'There are some stories if you look back. Indeed, in the first season nobody in Scotland expected Rangers to come back in be in a title race when we arrived in October. 'The players did it but in the end we lost the game at Ross County and three days later dropped points at Dundee. 'If I look back, two players who were not good in those two games they left at the end of the season on a free transfer. 'They were at that moment busy also talking with other teams with their agents, about their future and all those things. 'Probably, and maybe, it had an affect on them. Did they not want to become Rangers? For sure not. They wanted to become champions and give everything. 'But the situation to be at the end of the contract at that moment of the season was also not a good one. 'You need to see as a club that it's about stability and consistency that you don't come in these situations too much in the important moments of the season. 'You want everything to be clear so players can focus solely on football and I think it played a part in that end of the season in those two games where the shift was made in the championship." SunSport's Robert Grieve reveals why Rangers are set to sack Philippe Clement as manager Given the timing it would appear the Gers in question are John Lundstram and Borna Barasic, who both switched to Turkish side Trabzonspor at the end of their deals last year. Both were mostly left out of the Scottish Cup final against Celtic that season barring a late cameo for the English midfielder. He continued: 'It's a pity we couldn't win the championship coming out of a situation where nobody thought we could win it. '[My] most proud [moment] - because all that matters is winning things - would be winning the League cup and biggest regret would be being close for the title in that first season and not getting it over the line, and also the two cup finals where were very close.' Another agreed on X: "Financially, it makes sense to give Dennis away for free if anyone will take him." A third added: "Probably 10 of the retained list also need to depart this summer in some shape or form." Forest also penned an emotional goodbye to Harry Toffolo, who signed for the club in 2022. "Last year, the 29-year-old was named as an ambassador for Tricky to Talk – Nottingham Forest Community Trust's mental health programme – having attended several Tricky Hubs and Bottled Up Blokes sessions, speaking about his own history with mental health whilst actively listening to participants who share similar struggles. "As he embarks on a new chapter, everyone at the Club sends their sincere thanks to Harry for his outstanding contribution to Nottingham Forest and wishes him every success for the future."
