Thousands of music lovers will descend on the Hoe on Thursday for day one of Plymouth Summer Sessions 2025.The music event, run by the firm Live Nation, will take place on the Hoe from 12 to 15 June with headliners including James, Pendulum, Snow Patrol and The Corrs.Gates to the festival will open at 16:00 BST with entertainment set to finish at 22:30.Peter Taylor, co-Founder of event promoters Cuffe and Taylor, previously said: "We couldn't be more excited to bring Plymouth Summer Sessions back after such a fantastic first year."
'Iconic setting'
"The response from fans was incredible, and it's clear how much people love live music in this iconic setting," Mr Taylor said."With James, Pendulum, and Snow Patrol headlining, we're looking forward to a weekend that truly offers something for everyone."The four-day event kicks off on Thursday afternoon with performances from James, Razorlight, Jamie Website and Tom A. Smith.
Pendulum, Wargasm, Hot Milk and Normandie will take to the Hoe on Friday evening before The Coors, Natalie Imbruglia and Dea Matrona perform on Saturday.The final day will see live music from Snow Patrol, The Lathums and Somebody's Child.Food and drinks stalls will be available to visitors and organisers said tickets are mobile entry.On its social media account, organisers said some tickets for the event were still available to purchase online.

YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly is facing more charges after allegedly raping a woman in a hotel room. The British musician, who is fighting allegations he raped and choked a woman after a gig, has been hit with two more charges, as his trial date is set. Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, appeared in Perth District Court on Friday. The 29-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a hotel room following a performance in the city's northern suburbs in September. He previously pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. The entertainer has also denied impeding the woman's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to her neck. He is now facing two additional counts of sexual penetration without consent, although no plea has been entered. The additional charges were briefly mentioned in court but not explained and his lawyer declined to discuss the change outside court. The London rapper, who has 1.8 million YouTube subscribers and millions of Instagram and TikTok followers, will face a 10-day trial on April 20, 2026. He was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth in October. Filly is among the legions of 'content creators' who have made a name for themselves by amassing huge followings online and made money from video ad revenue and brand collaborations. Born in Colombia, he moved to the UK at the age of two with his single mother and two siblings. After leaving school and trying his hand at working as a broker, he began posting comedy skits online himself and with collaborators and began a music career in 2017. This lead to TV presenting jobs, including BBC's Hot Property, which he hosted in 2018. Barrientos was previously fined and banned from driving for six months after he pleaded guilty to reckless driving in November, while on bail.

SHOPPERS have spotted a brand-new flavour of Cadbury's Dairy Milk on store shelves for the first time. The Sun recently revealed that the chocolatier was launching a new Dairy Milk Iced Latte bar this summer; however, the exact date it was set to hit shelves was unknown. 1 Shoppers have started spotting the new flavour at various retailers this week, excitedly sharing photos of the bar online. One shopper found the new Dairy Milk in B&M, posting a picture of it in the Newfoodsuk Facebook group. Thousands of excited Dairy Milk fans replied to the post tagging their friends, with many saying they "can't wait" to try the new edition. Another user called on brands to release "more coffee flavoured stuff". Another said: "Is this the same as the iced latte twirls they did a while ago? if so they were divine!" However, it's not a hit with all Dairy Milk fans, with one writing: "I love a coffee, I love chocolate, I love cadburys but I HATE coffee flavoured chocolate." As well as B&M, the new snack has also been spotted by shoppers in Sainsbury's. The chocolate brand is also introducing four limited-edition Dairy Milk Summer Edition bars, complete with unique packaging designed for the 53% of Brits who, according to the brand's survey, enjoy their chocolate chilled. This packaging changes its appearance when cooled, thanks to special thermochromic technology, revealing bright, summery designs. Mara Popa, from Cadbury's parent company Mondelez, said: "We know that over half the nation is already chilling their chocolate, and we're ready to truly embrace this debate! "With our limited-edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Summer Edition Bars and innovative colour-changing packaging, we're celebrating the fun and unique ways people enjoy their chocolate. "This special pack design highlights the chilled chocolate trend in a playful way – so whether you are team fridge or team cupboard, the choice is yours!" Cadbury also recently delighted fans by launching a limited-edition Twirl White Dipped bar, which hit shelves on June 2. The brand described the flavour as "unreal, indulgent, smooth, swirly, creamy, melty, new, and mouthwatering". Meanwhile, Cadbury recently reduced the size of its Dairy Milk Little Bars multipacks by a third. New packs of four are being sold for £1.40 - even though packs of six cost the same last month. The change infuriated shoppers, with one writing on the Tesco website: 'Advertised as new, only thing new is you get 4 instead of 6!! For the same price. Disgusting!' A second said: 'Stop reducing how much is in the packet and charging the same price!!!'
