THE family of a man found dead on a Benidorm beach this week have paid heartbreaking tributes.
Jeff Duffield's body was discovered washed up on the Spanish shore on Wednesday.

His family shared the news of his tragic death on social media.
One family member posted in a Facebook group that "we have unfortunately found out that Jeff has passed away.
"Thank you for all your lovely comments and please allow my mam the privacy she deserves.
"Not the usual happy post I imagine this group is used to so I apologise."
Another pal wrote: "Very sad news today to hear about the passing of a top lad and dedicated family man and old friend Jeff Duffield."
An appeal had previously been put out in the same group while the search for Jeff was underway.
His wife had posted the urgent appeal to help find Jeff.
She shared: "My husband Jeff Duffield has been missing in Benidorm since 12.30 23/04/2025.
"I've reported it to police if anyone sees him please could you contact me, I'm worried sick. Thank you."
It comes after a man's body was found washed up on a beach in Benidorm earlier in the week.
His body was discovered on Wednesday evening by National Police in Spain.
Cops said the body was found without any ID, prompting a probe to identify him.
A force spokesperson said that the body belonged to a white male.
They said at the time: "We can confirm that a body was found on a beach in Benidorm last night.
"The individual has not been identified as there was no ID on his person."
Cops provided no further details at the time as they focused on trying to identify the body.
A police source has since said: "There's nothing at this stage pointing to this tragic death being suspicious or the result of a crime."
The Sun understands the UK Foreign Office was not approached for assistance.
The tragedy comes amid a surge in crime and gang activity on the Costa Blanca.
Tourists are warned by police to be on the lookout for gangs in the area - who often target holidaymakers.
One particular street, dubbed "Muggers Alley", is a known hotspot for criminal activity.
A dad-of-two from Belfast, John George, was killed in the region in December last year.
Jonny Smyth was arrested in Portugal last month over his death.

A dead body was found in the back seat of a car parked near Gatwick Airport on Friday - locals claimed the car had been abandoned for months and was covered in dust A dead body has shockingly been discovered in the back seat of a car parked close to Gatwick Airport. The white BMW had reportedly been parked just a mile away from the major airport for months, but the corpse was only discovered on Friday. Ticket inspectors were also believed to have been in the area and slapped notices on the vehicle but failed to see the dead body inside the car. Forensic officers were spotted at the scene along with police as an investigation to establish how the person died and how their lifeless body was missed has been launched. How was the body found? The car was noticed after locals sent Crawley Borough Council multiple complaints to report a parking violation. The local council issued a warning notice on May 19 and detailed how the car was "untaxed", even slapping a note on the car that threatened it would be towed unless moved in a week. Despite this, the car is taxed until January 1, 2026, according to the government's vehicle tax site, and has a valid MOT until November 25. It is understood the alarm was raised by a recovery vehicle driver who went to take the car away. They called police to report a possible dead body inside the vehicle. How did the recovery vehicle driver spot the body? A person in a local Facebook group described the moment the recovery vehicle driver found the dead body. They claimed the driver "saw a man on the back seats, with a blanket over the front two seats to build a 'barrier' across as he was lying on the backseat - most likely was sleeping in the back". Another person added: "A recovery driver came this morning and smashed the back window to take the motor. As he did that he noticed the dead body on the back seats." Where was the dead body found? The vehicle was parked around a mile away from Gatwick Airport. It had been left at an industrial estate on Whittle Way in Crawley, around 2.3 miles away from Junction 10 of the M23. This road is home to several businesses and close to Parcelforce Worldwide's airport depot. How long has the body been there? It is unclear exactly how long the dead body had been left in the car - which was covered in dust. Some locals claimed the vehicle had been parked in the same spot since October last year. Other residents in a Facebook group shared how long they had seen the vehicle parked for. One person said: "I reported it about four months ago but the council only put stickers on it - but it has been there for eight months now." How did the person die? The circumstances around the tragic death have not been made public. It is unclear how the person died but Sussex Police confirmed the death is not currently being treated as suspicious. And then while sliding across the track, my bike hit the APD (airfence) first, which lifted it up probably about a metre. 'And the moment I saw that lift, I just went, 'oh f***'. And then I hit the fence, I heard my femur snap. 'It's almost like if you're underwater and you snap a tree branch. 'I then was laid on the track. I remember looking up and seeing everybody around me. The team manager's face looked like he had seen a ghost. My arms were pointing all in the wrong direction. My left shoulder was dislocated, pointing upwards. 'My right humerus was shattered at the bottom. My elbow was dislocated and my elbow was broken. 'I actually couldn't see my hands when I was laying on the track because they were both pointing up. 'So I'm sat there saying, 'give me some meds'. I was saying 'bol, bol, bol' which means pain in Polish just to make sure they knew what I was talking about. 'I don't know if I passed out from the amount of Fentanyl they'd given me or the amount of blood that I'd lost.' Woffinden, Britain's greatest-ever rider, had a double compound right femur fracture, broken back, right humerus compound fracture, dislocated and smashed right elbow, 12 broken ribs,punctured lung, left broken shoulder blade and dislocated left shoulder. He added: 'I remember the blades of the helicopter, the noise of it starting to take off. And then the next thing, I'm in a coma. 'There were so many injuries, I probably wouldn't have been able to be awake and deal with the injuries. One of the operations was 12 hours long and I had multiple blood transfusions. 'I thought a coma would have been a pleasant sleep. It was quite the opposite. It was the worst thing I'd ever experienced. It was quite scary at times. I was on sedatives and painkillers and antibiotics. 'I was hallucinating, I was dreaming and having nightmares. Normally you have a nightmare and you wake up. Well, I couldn't wake up. 'I dealt with some wild s***. I woke up from the coma, and everything that I'd dreamt, I believed it was real. And my wife Faye was like, 'mate, that didn't happen'. I was getting angry with Faye because she wasn't believing me.' Woffinden refused to be drawn on what the future holds in speedway, his only focus is on full recovery from the huge toll of injuries. He added: 'There's so many variables. We need to give it that extra month to heal and then have the CT scan so we can really see what's going on from all different angles. 'I might need another operation on my humerus in my arm because it was shattered in 27 places. If the metalwork hasn't helped it knit together, I'll need another op. 'I've done everything I possibly can. I've done four to five hours a day in rehab since I left the hospital. My progress is on another level. 'It's ridiculous. Where I'm at given the injuries is f*****g phenomenal. 'I would like to ride my bike again, whether that's competitive or not or just practice, who knows? 'But I just make micro personal goals to keep reaching. Only my recovery comes first.'
