Air India Crash Probe Focuses On Engine, Flaps And Gear As Boeing 787 Fleet Faces Safety Checks
The investigation into the devastating Air India plane crash that killed over 240 people is now focusing on the aircraft's engine thrust, flaps, and landing gear. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, flying from Ahmedabad to London, crashed moments after takeoff, erupting into flames and striking a medical college hostel, killing passengers and people on the ground. Only one passenger reportedly survived. Sources say the landing gear remained open during ascent, raising questions about technical failure or maintenance lapses. India's aviation regulator has ordered a one-time mandatory pre-takeoff parameter check for all Dreamliners in Air India's fleet and is weighing a full grounding of the 787s during the probe. With terrorism teams also part of the investigation, the nation awaits answers in what is now the world's worst aviation disaster in a decade.#airindiacrash #boeing787disaster #engineflapfailure #dreamlinergrounding #aircraftinvestigation #ai171crash #aviationsafetyindia #bjmedicalcollegecrash #aircraftmaintenancefailure #indiauktragedy #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews

TNSTC bus overturns in Madurai, nine injured
Madurai: A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus travelling from Coimbatore to Ramanathapuram via Madurai overturned after hitting a median near Arapalayam around 10:30 pm on Friday, leaving nine people injured, including the driver. The accident occurred on AA Road when the driver reportedly lost control of the bus (Reg. No. TN 63 N 1919), causing it to hit the median and topple. Of the 25 passengers on board, one suffered a fractured arm, while eight others sustained minor injuries. Six of the injured, including driver M Lakshmanan, were admitted to Government Rajaji Hospital. Three others were treated at Meenakshi Mission Hospital. The conductor, Kalidas, was unharmed. Police said the bus was recovered using a crane and taken to the Karimedu police station for further investigation. Preliminary findings suggest poor visibility due to inadequate street lighting may have contributed to the crash. Traffic officials stated that steps would be taken to improve lighting and enhance road safety in the area. MSID:: 121850086 413 | Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here .
