An 'obsessed' Belfast student allegedly made comments about rape and murder under videos of a woman he posted on Incel forums, a court heard today.

Police claimed in one online message he stated: 'I support the rape and killing of women in real life.'
Kilpatrick, of Florenceville Avenue in the south of the city, appeared at Belfast Magistrates' Court charged with stalking and threatening communications.
The alleged offences were committed on March 28 this year.
Police were initially alerted last June after the complaint, an active TikTok user, became aware that sexual fantasies about her had allegedly been posted on a men's self-improvement website.
At that stage the investigation was closed due to issues with identifying any perpetrator.
But the court heard the woman then joined the site and began contact in a bid to stop any further material about her appearing online.
A PSNI officer claimed Kilpatrick then began an escalating campaign of behaviour against the complainant.
'He appears to have copied those videos from TikTok, posting them on Incel websites and writing under the thoughts of rape and murder,' she said.
'Recently, the defendant has taken a photograph of himself outside the front of her home address and posted it on that website.'
The woman provided police with screenshots of a series of messages on the forum allegedly linked to Kilpatrick, the court heard.
They included: 'She's an evil b***h', 'I hope she dies', 'rape and murder on my mind 24/7', and 'I support the rape and killing of women in real life'.
Opposing bail, police expressed major concerns based on Kilpatrick knowing where she lives.
'He allegedly told her during the conversations that he was obsessed with her and had written over 30 love songs for her,' the officer revealed.
'By his own admission he is obsessed with her.'
During police questioning Kilpatrick allegedly stated 'I wished death on her and I said in a song I hope she gets raped.'
He told interviewing officers that he wanted the woman to see the messages to 'piss her off', but insisted it was merely a platform for posting extreme comments which were not serious.
Asked his intention in publishing the photograph, he replied: 'I get that it looks like me trying to be a threat, but it was just me and this other guy from Lithuania from the forum.'
Defence counsel Kelly Doherty confirmed her client accepted making 'totally unacceptable and horrible' comments.
She argued that Kilpatrick, who is studying at Ulster University, has an attention deficit disorder and no history of aggression.
Referring to the photo outside the woman's house, Ms Doherty submitted: 'He says it was done in a poor attempt at humour, there was no attempted threat.'
Kilpatrick was refused bail and remanded in custody until May 7.
Deputy District Judge Laura Ievers KC ruled: 'The real concerns relate to the potential for re-offending and interference with the witness.'

Man with 145 convictions held knife to woman's throat during cocaine-fuelled burglary

James McDonagh (38), Dominic Street, Newry, Co. Down, appeared before Dundalk Circuit Court via video link for a sentence hearing. He has been in custody since the offending occurred. He pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, unlawfully using a car without consent, dangerous driving and driving without insurance, at Gyles Quay on June 23, 2024. Other charges including false imprisonment of a female are being taken into consideration. He told Gardaí who arrested him at the scene that he had taken too much cocaine. 'It blew the socks off me'. The defendant, one of 13 children, moved to Newry from Dundalk, and has 145 previous convictions on both sides of the border. Judge Dara Hayes adjourned the matter to June 19 and said that there will be a 'significant sentence'. Gardaí had been alerted by the PSNI about a stolen BMW which had crossed the border. A car was spotted acting suspiciously around Bellurgan, north of Dundalk, but despite extensive searches throughout the early hours of the morning it could not to be located. Meanwhile, a woman living in a bungalow at the park was sitting on a sofa. It was so warm she had the back doors open. Suddenly, around 3pm, a man came through the door with what she described as a butcher's knife. He had something else in his other hand but she was only focused on the knife. He had blood on his face. He screamed for her car keys and demanded money. The woman's young son came out of his room and was screaming. The woman was in such fear that she was willing to co-operate to protect her son. She couldn't find the keys. McDonagh held the knife to her throat until she found them. While this was going on armed Gardaí had arrived outside. The victim saw them. The man ran and was chased through the house by the guards and out the back door. Det Gda Gallagher told the mother and child to stay inside and not come out until Gardaí returned. Outside, one of the other officers pulled his gun and the man lay down on grass. He was arrested there by Det Gda Gallagher at 3.04pm, some 500m from the house. The man said: 'I think I took too much cocaine. It blew the socks off me. I took the car. I didn't know it was wanted. I was driving nice and slow. I was washing up 'Coke' to do 'Crack'. 'I didn't know they were guards. I put the boot down and drove off. I panicked and I crashed.' Later, he added: 'Jesus, I didn't do a burglary, did I? Only slagging.' McDonagh said that he wasn't going to use the knife. "I was only scaring her. I saw youse outside and I ran. You got me.' He denied putting a knife to the woman's throat. "She walked to me. She must have wanted a claim or something.' "I could get big time. I'm sorry for what I said and what I did.' He signed the memos of interview. The court heard of 145 previous convictions – 85 in the Republic of Ireland and sixty in the North. These included unauthorised taking of vehicles, theft, possession of a knife, robbery, trespass, assault, burglary, assaulting police and drugs possession. Gda Laura O'Connor read out out a harrowing Victim Impact Statement which detailed how the woman and her family had moved to Ireland hoping for a safe and better quality of life. Her husband lost his life tragically here. She spoke of her son screaming for his life and the ongoing consequences of the attack. She felt completely unsafe in her own home. There were flashbacks of the knife against her throat. Her son's terrifying screams haunted her. She thanked the Gardaí. It was stated in a probation report that James McDonagh accepted full responsibility. He had taken a combination of drugs with whiskey when he stole the vehicle in Northern Ireland to sell across the border to buy cocaine. He identified as a member of the Travelling community, the second youngest of 13 children. His parents moved to Newry and he intends to live with his brother in Dundalk. Single, and the father of two adult children, he had never worked and was reliant on social welfare. The defendant was on methadone and continued to use drugs in custody. He was assessed at high risk of reoffending. Judge Hayes said that he was grateful to the victim for coming to court. It was of much assistance to him. 'It was a horrifying experience for you and your son. I'm dreadfully sorry. It's unimaginable how awful it must have been for you and your son.' The judge said these were extremely serious offences. However, the court also heard Greenall also treated herself to holidays, hotel stays and Amazon purchases during her year-long "voyage of fraud and misadventure", reports the The thief claimed she now has only a few hundred pounds left in her bank account. Liverpool Crown Court heard on Friday afternoon, Greenall began working for St Helens-based New Reg Ltd, a technology firm which specialises in purchasing vehicles for clients, in a lesser role in April 2021. Prosecutor Christopher Taylor was considered "vital" to the growing firm and described as "both trusted and respected" before it was found she was siphoning off the funds into her own accounts. Analysis of Greenall's bank statements showed during 2023 she received 53 unauthorised deposits totalling £57,036 from her employer. During this period, she also began increasing her spending at supermarkets, as well as other food outlets, sports retailers and Amazon Prime. Her spree ramped up in the early months of the following year, boosting her bank balance by another £196,364.26 by April 2024. Such large sums going missing raised suspicions amongst Greenall's superiors and were put to the defendant in a meeting with the company director on May 1. She pledged to investigate before making a "final deposit" of £20,000 immediately after and then left the office claiming there was an illness in her family. Greenall would later admit criminality during a meeting six days later and she was arrested on May 13. She told detectives she had been "living a lavish lifestyle" and had only £700 in her bank account. The mum said initially she'd been using the stolen money to pay for household purchases before she began funding her TikTok "obsession". Tokens on the platform can be bought with real money and exchanged for virtual gifts that users can send to creators during live streams, which can then be exchanged back to real cash. Greenall said the crime spree came "at a time when she was low", the court heard. Overall, she pinched £443,523.26 out of the company over 121 separate transactions, and spent £301,162.55 on TikTok tokens. Her actions jeopardised the Paul Becker, defending, told the court that his client "may have been suffering from a form of addiction to TikTok", but stated that she had "no formal diagnosis to such an addiction". Greenall's two children, an 11-year-old boy with severe ADHD, and a six-year-old girl, are anticipated to be looked after by their mum's sister. The defendant admitted one count of fraud by abuse of position and was jailed for 28 months. One of her supporters told her "I love you" from the public gallery as Greenall was led away. Judge Neil Flewitt KC said: "It is a tragedy that those children are going to suffer as a result of your dishonesty. "I have taken the view that there is simply no way to avoid what I am sure you have been advised is the inevitable sentence of imprisonment.
