23 Iravai Moodu was released on May 16, 2025, and opened to positive reviews and critical acclaim at the box office. The social drama was touted as a hard-hitting watch since it paid homage to three huge massacres in real life, which happened between 1991 and 1997. The film is now all set for an OTT release.

The film's storyline is inspired by three distinct real-life tragedies. These are the 1991-Tsunduru massacre, the 1993-Chilakaluripeta bus burning incident, and the 1997 car bomb blast in Hyderabad.
The movie, at its very core, questions the themes of dignity, justice, and social reform, while pitching an outcry for bold and thought-provoking realities.
Speaking about the plot, it revolves around a man named Sagar who dreams of a peaceful life with his love Susheela. In an attempt to earn more money quickly, he unexpectedly becomes a part of a huge crime where he sets a bus on fire unknowingly, killing all 23 people in it.
Upon realising his misdeed, he is shaken with regret and guilt as he silently hopes for some kind of redemption and release coming his way.
The film stars Teja, Tanmai, Jhansi, Pawon Ramesh, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Praneeth in key roles.
It is written, directed, and produced by Raj Rachakonda under the banner of Studio 99. Mark K Robin has composed the musical score.

Talking about not being part of the next instalment, Sonakshi said that the story is likely to take a different direction, with new characters, and she completely respects that. 'It's understandable that the story would be something else. The characters would not be the same. And that's completely fair,' she remarked. Sinha shared that she has grown to understand the dynamics of filmmaking. 'I think as a professional. We've worked in the industry for so many years. We understand all these things. The incident took place during the screening of Sekhar Kammula's Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh-starrer Kuberaa. Videos of the same were shared online on Thursday. The ceiling in a single screen theatre in Telangana broke and fell on the audience during the screening of Dhanush's Kuberaa. According to a report by Siasat, the ceiling collapsed on the audience at around 11:30 PM on Wednesday at Asian Mukunda. The audience ran out in panic. Two people suffered minor injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. No major casualties have been reported. The Mahabubabad police told the publication that no case has been registered as the affected people came to a compromise with the theatre management. M9 News reported that the audience got into a scuffle with the theatre management for their negligence. The incident, said those re-sharing the video on social media, throws light on the plight of single-screen theatres in the Telugu states. One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'Guntur naaz complex lo kuda yepppuokasari ilane padipotudni. (Someday the ceiling in Naaz theatre in Guntur will also fall like this)' Another wrote, 'Producers have been saying in multiple interviews that they have to take care of single its just not theatres ..it's audience who has take care of themselves as well.' About Kuberaa Kuberaa is a crime drama written and directed by Sekhar and co-written by Chaithanya Pingali. The film that was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil was produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's music. In the film, Dhanush plays a beggar called Deva while Nagarjuna plays a former CBI officer called Deepak. Rashmika plays Sameera, and Jim plays a greedy businessman called Neeraj. Kuberaa marks Dhanush's debut in Telugu. As per Sacnilk, Kuberaa collected ₹ 67 crore net in India and ₹ 81 crore worldwide in a week.
