British tourist, 68, found dead at Greek holiday island after being pulled unconscious from water
A 68-YEAR-old Brit has sadly been found dead on a Greek holiday island.
The man had reportedly gone swimming and lost consciousness on the island of Rhodes, local media has reported.

Officers from the Central Port Authority of Rhodes rushed to the scene of the incident at the popular tourist spot of Lindos.
He was pulled unconscious from the beach, according to reports.
The man was rushed to the Archangelos Health Centre, but was sadly pronounced dead.
His exact cause of death is not yet known.
An autopsy is expected to be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
He is not the only Brit to have died while on holiday in recent months.
It comes after a Brit dad died while on holiday in Turkey after being escorted off a plane for being drunk.
Builder Ben Crook from Caerphilly, South Wales had been in Antalya with his partner and two kids to celebrate his 32nd birthday.
But he was escorted off their flight due to behaving erratically on the plane after drinking alcohol.
He was separated from his family, who went to the hotel.
But the dad died from a fall before he made it there to join them.
Elsewhere, a two-year-old British boy drowned in a pool at a private villa in Ibiza.
The tot was found in the swimming pool without a pulse, local news outlet Diario de Ibiza reported.
Rhodes remains a popular tourist spot for Brit holidaymakers.
The island was recently rocked by a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Greece and Turkey.
It was felt along the Turquoise Coast and in neighbouring regions, waking many from their sleep.

Florida child starts drowning in pool while adult who was with him stands beside it
A six-year-old started drowning in a pool in Florida while the adult with him stood by until the boy was saved by a passing stranger. Surveillance footage caught the grueling minutes that Oscar struggled in the water of a pool in Fort Lauderdale while his cousin frantically called out for help. It wasn't until Roque Ivan Ocampo, who was passing by, heard the screams and ran to help that Oscar was rescued from the bottom of the pool. 'He doesn't move at all, that's why I thought maybe, "He's dead," because he wasn't moving,' he told NBC News. The boy had fallen into the pool after losing his balance on a pool float. He remained under water for nearly two minutes while his cousin paced around the edge of the water. 'There was no time to think, just to act,' Ocampo told ABC News. The footage showed Ocampo quickly take his shoes off and jump into the water. He pulled Oscar to the surface with the help of a bystander and began an attempt to resuscitate the child. Passerby Ivan Ocampo heard the cries of Oscar's cousin as the boy struggled in the water and dove into the pool to rescue him 'I started doing CPR. The kid wasn't breathing, but I keep doing it and doing it until he started breathing again,' Ocampo said. Oscar's family begun rushing over to the boy and called 911. Bodycam footage showed that arriving officers took over and could be heard asking if Oscar could squeeze their hand. The boy was rushed to hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery. 'It takes a lot of bravery to do what he did, and I think Oscar's outcome would've been a lot worse if [he] hadn't he jumped in the pool, pulled him out and done CPR right away,' said Jamie Bodine, a Fort Lauderdale Police Officer who responded to the scene. 'I don't think we thanked him enough that day,' Bodine said. The boy and Ocampo reunited the next day, he told Oscar: 'You're very strong and I'm so proud of you.' 'It was so special, to be honest, wonderful moment for me,' Ocampo said. 'This is the best gift I ever had.' 'I'm glad I was in the right moment to save the kid,' he added. The incident stirred the internet as people slammed the boy's cousin for standing by and for his family to leave the pair alone. 'Where were the parents? Why were children left alone near pool without adult supervision? Are parents being charged with neglect? Something is wrong with this scenario,' one commenter said. 'Wow, what are two kids that don't know how to swim doing anywhere near a pool. Not a single ounce of common sense with the parents. Absolute horrible parenting,' another wrote. One said: 'What a hero That's a real lifeguard! For that 'cousin' why do you have a pool when you can't swim? Why are you even standing there? You have a stick throw it away & scream Use it!'

Police arrest American on Greek island suspected in Rome deaths of a woman and infant
Greek authorities detained an American man Friday on the Greek island of Skiathos suspected of killing an infant found over the weekend in a Rome park and of having a role in the death of the infant's mother, whose body was found nearby. The American, who was not identified, was detained on a European arrest warrant issued in Italy, and he will be formally arrested when the warrant is forwarded, Greek police told The Associated Press. The suspect will appear before a judge in an extradition hearing next week and has the right to challenge his transfer. The bodies of the baby girl and mother, also identified as Americans, were found in Rome's Villa Pamphili park on Saturday, the Italian daily Corriere della Sera reported. The mother's body was under a black bag, having been killed several days before the infant, who was found several hundred meters (yards) away in undergrowth. Police in Rome have refused to comment on the case, and a news conference was scheduled for later Friday. Police theorize that the man killed the infant after returning to the park where the mother's body had been left, the paper said. Their relationship with the suspect was not immediately clear— but police said they had been traced to a shelter for the needy near the Vatican, where they appeared to be a nuclear family. Authorities were able to track down the suspect thanks to fingerprints on the bag covering the woman and a scrap of a tent like ones provided to people without shelter, the newspaper said. He was located Greece with mobile phone data.
