Man charged over Edinburgh salon 'firebombing' as cops swoop on residential street
The Belle Cheveux salon was targeted in March.
A man has been arrested and charged more than three months after an Edinburgh salon was allegedly firebombed.
The 26-year-old was detained by Police Scotland officers on Sunday afternoon, after they swooped on Muirhouse Drive in the capital at around 6pm.
The force said he was charged in connection with the blaze which took place at the Belle Cheveux salon in the city's Albert Street on March 6 this year.
Edinburgh Live states residents reported a large police presence at Muirhouse Drive on Sunday.
Police confirmed a 26-year-old man was arrested at a property in the street in connection with outstanding warrants.

A spokesperson said: "A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with outstanding warrants after officers attended at a property in the Muirhouse Drive area of Edinburgh around 6pm on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
"The Police Scotland spokesperson continued: "He has also been charged in connection with a wilful fire at a premises in Albert Street in Edinburgh on Thursday, 6 March.
"He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, Monday, 16 June."
The owner of Belle Cheveux has previously been linked to the notorious Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson.
This incident is believed to be one of the first in a series of gangland attacks across Edinburgh and Glasgow.
It takes the number of arrests in Police Scotland's Operation Portaledge to 45.
