This Sleek Set of German-Engineered Zwilling Steak Knives for 61% Off

I'm a big proponent of thoughtfully curating which kitchen gadgets you actually need, and an even bigger champion of investing in high quality when it comes to essential dining tools, such as a set of German-designed steak knives. Lo and behold, I'm adding-to-cart this sleek set from Zwilling, which is already a whopping 61 percent off on Amazon in anticipation of Prime Day: If you're new to Zwilling, it's a legacy brand with a serious history; founded in 1731 in Solingen, Germany by blacksmith and knife-maker Peter Henckels, it's one of the oldest trademarks in the world. But to understand its continued commitment to quality in modern times, you need only read the company's enthusiastic description of its knives on the set's Amazon product page. 'WE KNOW MORE ABOUT KNIVES THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD,' it declares. In fact, Solingen has been dubbed the 'City of Blades' thanks largely to companies such as Zwilling that have been smithing swords, razors, and knives for centuries. A set of steak knives can be a game-changer for dinner parties and home dining; even if you think you can get by with whatever cutlery you have lying around, you'll quickly realize what a pleasure it is to use a nice steak knife. As a former vegetarian, there was a time when I, too, was content using the knives from my flatware set at the dinner table, but that's because I thought it was normal to fumble slicing overripe tomatoes in Plato's Cave. Now, I am happy to report that I am cutting through both wagyu beef and plump, fussy fruits alike with one effortless gesture of my steak knife. The only downside is that I only own four knives, which is why this silver-colored set from Zwilling caught my eye in the first place: for under $100, you will receive not four or six but eight knives that are svelte enough to fit in with all the other flatware in your kitchen drawer organizer (as opposed to steak knives with chunkier wood handles). And with a set of eight, you can truly amp up your summer entertaining. I say, smash the order button and start making your life a whole lot easier. The Zwilling steak knife set is available on Amazon , and check Eater's coverage of early Amazon Prime Day kitchen deals here .

Warner Bros. Discovery's TNT Sports to Stop Producing Content for NBA TV at End of 2024-25 Season

Warner Bros. Discovery's partnership with NBA TV is coming to an end as TNT Sports will no longer produce content for the basketball league's cable network, an individual familiar with the matter tells TheWrap. After managing NBA TV's operations for nearly two decades, TNT Sports chairman and CEO Luis Silberwasser said Warner and the NBA 'mutually decided to part ways at the end of the 2024-25 season.' 'We made several proposals to continue to provide services and operate the NBA TV network and related digital assets. However, we were unable to agree on a path forward that recognized the value of our expertise, quality content and operational excellence that our fans and partners have come to expect from TNT Sports,' Silberwasser said in a memo to staff. 'We will work closely with the NBA on a transition plan for the league to assume the responsibility of programming and operating NBA TV and which will be effective Oct. 1.' A spokesperson for the NBA did not immediately return TheWrap's request for comment. The end of the collaboration, which first began in 2008, comes after the NBA struck new media rights deals with Amazon, NBCUniversal/Peacock and Disney's ESPN/ABC last year. TNT Sports had been a national rights holder with the NBA since 1984. However, the NBA's relationship with TNT Sports will continue. After settling WBD's rights dispute with the league, TNT Sports and its portfolio of brands were given a global license to create, produce and distribute new and existing NBA content across its platforms. The agreement includes expanded global content and highlight rights for TNT Sports, Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, with the ability to produce and distribute NBA content across the WBD portfolio, along with promotion, sales and creative commitments across both NBA and WBD platforms. It also gives WBD international rights to NBA games in Northern Europe and Latin America, excluding Mexico and Brazil. Additionally, TNT is licensing its 'Inside the NBA' show to ESPN. The news also comes as Warner Bros. Discovery is gearing up to separate its global linear networks business from its streaming and studios business in 2026. Global Networks will include CNN, TNT Sports in the U.S., Discovery, top free-to-air channels across Europe, Discovery+ and Bleacher Report (B/R). It will retain a 20% stake in the studios and streaming business to help the company deleverage and is expected to take the majority of WBD's roughly $37 billion in gross debt. The Studios & Streaming business will include Warner Bros. Television Group, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max, Warner Bros. Games, Tours, Retail and Experiences, as well as studio production facilities in Burbank and Leavesden. 'The U.S. sports rights will reside at the Global Networks, and its management team will determine how best to monetize the streaming and digital rights over time,' WBD chief financial officer Gunnar Wiedenfels told investors on a call earlier this month. 'Internationally, sports will largely coexist, both on linear and streaming, as they do today.' 'Inside the U.S., sports have been less critical,' WBD CEO David Zaslav added. 'It's viewed, but it hasn't been a real driver for us. So it will continue to be on HBO Max, but the Global Networks business will evaluate over time where the best place for that is.' JPMorgan shares hit a record this week, but Baird analysts say time to sell

(Bloomberg) — JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) shares have climbed nearly 40% from an April low and set record highs this week on a grab bag of positive developments, but to Baird analysts that's too far, too fast. 'We realize we are fighting the tape here, and understand that JPM is a best-in-class franchise, with dominant share in all of their businesses and truly a fortress balance sheet,' analysts led by David George wrote in a note downgrading the biggest US bank to underperform from a neutral rating, giving the bank its second sell rating. 'We simply think that expectations are super high here.' With quarterly earnings, stress test results and loosening regulations — including the easing of bank capital rules on the horizon — the outlook is looking bright for lenders to many market players. That optimism has fueled a six-day rally in JPMorgan shares with the stock closing at $288.75 on Thursday, more than 20% above Baird's 12-month price target of $235. Shares of JPMorgan fell as much as 1.3% Friday, underperforming peers in regular trading, while the S&P 500 Index ticked higher. Baird analysts acknowledge there are reasons to be optimistic on big US banks at present and JPMorgan is 'the gold standard' for the group, but, they argue, expectations are too high and JPMorgan's stock is too expensive. 'Rather than chase recent strength, we would be more opportunistic on the regionals we like on weakness,' they wrote in the report Friday, citing the significant dispersion between mega-lenders and their 'modestly underpriced' regional peers. The KBW Bank Index has climbed more than 30% from an early-April low when President Donald Trump's tariff agenda sparked a market selloff. Regional peers have advanced less than 20% over the same period, still trading well below its year-to-date high. The analysts also cut their recommendation on Bank of America Corp. to neutral from outperform saying the stock has reached its fair value. Bank of America shares also declined Friday. The Federal Reserve is set to release its annual stress test results for banks at 4:30 p.m. Friday. JPMorgan is expected to report quarterly earnings on July 15 and Bank of America the following day.
