UFC books Charles Jourdain vs. Ricky Simon for Atlanta event
Seasoned UFC bantamweights will collide in Atlanta.
Charles Jourdain and Ricky Simon will throw down in a three-round bout June 14 at UFC on ESPN 69, the promotion officially announced Thursday. The event takes place at State Farm Arena.
Jourdain (16-8-1 MMA, 7-7-1 UFC) aims to extend his winning streak to two after a submission victory over Victor Henry in November. The bout was his UFC bantamweight debut.
Simon (21-6 MMA, 9-4 UFC) snapped a three-fight skid when he knocked out Javid Basharat in violent fashion in February. The knockout won him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

UFC full fight: Merab Dvalishvili upsets Umar Nurmagomedov in first title defense
UFC full fight: Merab Dvalishvili upsets Umar Nurmagomedov in first title defense Merab Dvalishvili surprised many in his first fight as UFC champion. Many thought Umar Nurmagomedov was bound to be champion, so much in fact that Merab Dvalishvili was labeled an underdog in their bout despite being the champion. Back in January at UFC 311, Dvalishvili entered his first title defense against a very promising Nurmagomedov in the co-main event of the pay-per-view card. Dvalishvili had a tough fight in the first couple of rounds, but then went on to dominate and overwhelm Nurmagomedov to win a unanimous decision. You can re-watch Dvalishvili's first defense of his UFC bantamweight belt in the video above. Dvalishvili (19-4 MMA, 12-2 UFC) returns to the octagon this Saturday for his second title defense. He takes on Sean O'Malley (18-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC), who he beat to get the UFC bantamweight title in September, in the main event of UFC 316 (ESPN+ pay-per-view) at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The remade Sean O'Malley is ready to show off his ‘prime' — and get some UFC redemption
The 'Suga Show' returns Saturday night, but it's more of a remake than a continuation. Gone is the old Sean O'Malley — the weed-smoking social-media maven — with the metaphorical starring role recast as one undistracted by his own public persona and focused more keenly on the two things most important to him now: family and reclaiming UFC glory. Well, there's one thing that actually supersedes becoming the bantamweight champion in Saturday's UFC 316 main event at Prudential Center, and that's settling the score with the man who beat him for that title in September: Merab Dvalishvili. 'Even if Merab would have lost to Umar [Nurmagomedov, in January], part of me just wanted the Merab fight back,' O'Malley told reporters during media day Wednesday in Morristown, N.J.
