Report: Warriors sign pair of undrafted free agent guards
On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors used a pair of second-round selections to add Australian forward Alex Toohey and Florida Gators guard Will Richard. Yet, after the 2025 edition of the draft closed, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Steve Kerr weren't done adding prospects.
Following the draft, the Warriors inked a pair of undrafted free agents. Houston's L.J. Cryer and Texas Tech's Chance McMillian are set to join Golden State, according to the SF Standards' Danny Emerman.
Cryer starred at Houston for the last two seasons, averaging 15.7 points on 41.1% shooting from the field to go along with 2.4 rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes per game last season. Cryer finished the season with third-team All-American honors.
Cyer is a strong shooter, hitting 42.4% of his attempts from beyond the arc. Cryer drilled five or more triples in eight different games for the Cougars in the 2024-25 season.
McMillian played the last two seasons at Texas Tech, earning All-Big 12 honors in 2024-25. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 14.2 points on 52.3% shooting from the field and 43.3% from beyond the arc to go along with four boards and 1.8 assists per game.
Both McMillian and Cryer will likely suit up alongside Toohey and Richard when the Warriors hit the floor in the Summer League.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's Cryptic Reaction Seems To Mock Trade Rumors As Warriors, Knicks Show Interest
Giannis Antetokounmpo's Cryptic Reaction Seems To Mock Trade Rumors As Warriors, Knicks Show Interest originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade saga began ever since the Bucks' first-round exit in the 2025 NBA Playoffs. After weeks of rumors and deliberations around his future, he and people close to him finally broke their silence on his future and clarified that he has no interest in leaving the Bucks at the moment. Moreover, he even claimed that he plans to retire with the Bucks. Therefore, seemingly puts a public end to the rumors. Advertisement Yet, according to the NY Post, three new teams have entered the race, beyond previously known interested teams. The Knicks, Warriors, and Heat are reportedly teams interested in trading for Giannis beyond the Spurs, Nets, and the Rockets. Shortly after a social media post on this went viral, Antetokounmpo posted a cryptic message from his X account, seemingly asking teams to "pull up" with multiple laughing emojis. Giannis is seemingly confident in his influence on the Bucks' front office and wants to say that even if these teams come to the front office with their best offers, it will be of no use since he has committed his long-term future to the organization. He is seemingly amused that the rumor mill seems to keep generating these team names and interest rumors without any basis or interest from Antetokounmpo to join those teams. Advertisement Only based on that first impression, several fans even commented on his post, suggesting the potential places where he should "pull up" in the trade market. Hence, we are also going based on the first impression of what he is trying to say, and it may be inaccurate in some way. The Greek superstar averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in the regular season this year. The entire Bucks roster is built around him, and there is no incentive for the Bucks to trade their best player and go into a full rebuild at this point. Antetokounmpo has three years (including a player option) left on his contract with the Bucks, and he fully intends on honoring his commitment. What Can An NBA Team Do To Convince Bucks To Trade Giannis With Damian Lillard out for the foreseeable future with an ACL injury, the Bucks are severely handicapped in terms of putting together a championship-contending roster in the next season without him. Moreover, the Bucks have severely depleted their draft assets, so they do not have much to offer another team in a trade to bring more solid pieces around Giannis. Advertisement Therefore, the Bucks have two options from here: either they trade their superstar Antetokounmpo and go into a full rebuild mode with the assets they get, or they put all the pressure on their one player to carry the team to what will likely be mediocrity. Lillard's injury has seriously hindered the championship window the Bucks had with him and Giannis. To convince the Bucks to trade Giannis, in my opinion, at least two young stars with a high upside and three first-round draft picks, along with additional swaps or second-round picks, should be enough to give the Bucks significant assets to initiate their rebuild. If they trade Antetokounmpo, they will likely show Lillard the exit door next when he becomes trade-eligible. Cubs' Kyle Tucker, Ryan Pressly return to Daikin Park for first time since Astros traded them
HOUSTON (AP) — Kyle Tucker and Ryan Pressly returned to Daikin Park on Friday for the first time since the Houston Astros traded them to the Chicago Cubs during the offseason and were greeted by a video tribute before the start of the game. The two stepped out of the Cubs dugout and tipped their caps to the fans while getting a standing ovation. 'Obviously, we are here to do our job and win some games, but it's nice to at least catch up with some of the guys over there that I played with for awhile and been around, so it is cool in that sense' Tucker said earlier. A three-time All-Star right fielder eligible for free agency after the season, the 28-year-old Tucker is hitting .287 with 16 home runs and 49 RBIs. He was swapped in December for outfielder Cam Smith, infielder Isaac Paredes and right fielder Hayden Wesneski. Pressly, a 36-year-old right-hander, is 2-2 with five saves and a 3.90 ERA. The two-time All-Star closer was dealt in January for minor league right-hander Juan Bello. Tucker was part of Astros teams that reached six straight AL Championship Series and caught the final out of the 2022 World Series against Philadelphia. 'There's a lot of really good memories here,' Tucker said. 'We had a lot of success playing in this city and on this field. It's cool. The biggest thing is being around the guys in those moments.' Pressly earned the save in Game 6 of the 2022 World Series. 'A lot of memories were made out on that field,' Pressly said. 'A lot of lifetime friendships made on the other side as well. I always root for these guys. They were great teammates. I was super fortunate and blessed to share a clubhouse with a couple of those guys who are pretty much legends over there in this city.' Houston entered an AL West-best 48-33 record, identical to the record of the NL Central-leading Cubs. 'Every time they lose someone, they always seem to replace them with someone who is really good and kind of pick up the baton right behind them and keep winning. It's what they've been doing for the past decade now," Pressly said of the Astros. "It was fun to watch when I was on the team, but now that I'm not on the team, it's not fun to watch. It's always been a good team. It's going to be fun.'

Golden State Warriors jersey history - No. 16 - Irv Torgoff (1949)
The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the second of nine players who wore the No. 16 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State forward alum Irv Torgoff. After ending his college career at LIU, Torgoff joined the (defunct) Washington Capitols in their (and the BAA's) first-ever season of existence in 1946. The Brooklyn, New York native would play the first two seasons of his pro career with the Caps. He would also play for the (also defunct) Baltimore Bullets before he was dealt to the (then) Philadelphia (now, Golden State) Warriors in 1949 for his final season in the league. During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Torgoff wore only jersey No. 16 and put up 2.7 points per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.
