AI Melania: First lady embarks on 'new frontier' in publishing with audiobook of memoir
EXCLUSIVE: First lady Melania Trump is launching an audiobook of her memoir using artificial intelligence (AI) audio technology in multiple languages, Fox News Digital has learned.
The first lady released her first memoir, "Melania," last year.
This week, she is breaking new ground by releasing "Melania, the Audiobook," which has been "created entirely" with AI.
"I am proud to be at the forefront of publishing's new frontier – the intersection of artificial intelligence technology and audio," Trump told Fox News Digital.
The first lady said ElevenLabs AI developed "an AI-generated replica of my voice under strict supervision, which will establish an unforgettable connection with my personal story, in multiple languages for listeners worldwide."
ElevenLabs AI CEO Mati Staniszewski told Fox News Digital that they are "excited that the first lady and her team trusted our technology to power this first-of-its-kind audiobook project."
"We look forward to helping bring this book to the public in many other languages, in the first lady's own voice, soon," Staniszewski said.
The English version of the audiobook is expected to be available on MelaniaTrump.com. Later this year, it will be released in multiple languages, including Spanish, Hindi and Portuguese.
Meanwhile, billboards to promote the audiobook will be up in Times Square in New York City as well as in Los Angeles and Miami; the billboards will be up for one month in all three cities. The Times Square billboard will feature the video below.
Upon the release of the memoir last year, the first lady told Fox News Digital that writing her story was "an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows."
"Each story shaped me into who I am today," she said. "Although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength, and the beauty of sharing my truth."
"Melania" is the first lady's first book. She released the original book along with a special collector's edition that includes photos hand-selected by the first lady, many she photographed herself of her home and of various trips she has taken around the world.

Sydney Sweeney's bathwater soap hits eBay for $2000 after selling out in seconds
Bars of soap made from the bathwater of Hollywood actor Sydney Sweeney went on sale on Friday (6 June) and is now available on eBay for inflated prices after reportedly selling out within seconds. The Euphoria actor is one of the most sexualised stars in Hollywood and often faces unsolicited comments about her body from fans – some of whom have even expressed their desire to consume her bath water. 'When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr Squatch soap,' Sweeney said in a press release announcing her new 'Bathwater Bliss' soap. It would appear that Sweeney and Dr Squatch's unique bit of branding paid off as the soap, which is made from pine bark extract, exfoliating sand and droplets of the actor's bathwater, was snapped up instantly by fans, who paid just $8 for the item which went on sale at 12pm EST. According to NBC New York, some prospective buyers were told that they would have to wait 250 minutes to make their purchase while others claimed the website crashed. Responding to one complaint on social media, which claimed the bars were never on sale, the company wrote: 'Nah, it was there. People just bought it in .0001 seconds." Dr Squatch later confirmed on Instagram that their website did indeed crash. In a statement, the company said: 'Y'all crashed the site. The Sydney's Bathwater Bliss launch has been insane! We seriously appreciate the Squatch-sized enthusiasm. 'We're working hard behind the scenes to make sure the right folks – on a first come, first served basis – get their hands on the bricc. Thanks for your patience.' Listings for the product on eBay are now being sold from $100 (£73) to $2000 (£1478). In an interview with GQ, Sweeney further explained the process of making the soap. 'When we were at the [Dr. Squatch] shoot, they had a tub for me. And I actually got in there and I took some soap, and we had a nice little bath and they took the water. So it's my real bath water,' she confirmed. 'I wanted to have it lean towards my home roots, so there's this really outdoorsy scent of, like, pine and earthy moss and fir. So it smells super manly. But then there's some city bath water mixed in.' Sweeney previously discussed the oversexualisation of her body in an interview with Variety in March 2024. The actor admitted at the time that the constant remarks make her feel like she has 'no control' over online discourse about her appearance. 'I see it, and I just can't allow myself to have a reaction. I don't know how to explain it - I'm still trying to figure it out myself,' she told the outlet, when asked about the viral reaction to her SNL debut. 'People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want, because they believe that I've signed my life away. That I'm not on a human level anymore, because I'm an actor. That these characters are for everybody else, but then me as Sydney is not for me anymore,' Sweeney said. 'It's this weird relationship that people have with me that I have no control or say over.'

Judge turns back challenge to MBTA housing law; Holden among plaintiffs
Superior Court ruling dismissing MBTA Communities unfunded mandate challenge by Michael Elfland on Scribd A Superior Court judge on Friday tossed a lawsuit brought by nine municipalities challenging the MBTA Communities Act, ruling that the controversial zoning-reform law is not an unfunded mandate. Plymouth Superior Court Justice Mark Gildea granted the Healey administration's motion to dismiss the latest challenges to the 2021 law, which supporters see as a key tool to spur development of much-needed housing in more than 170 eastern Massachusetts cities and towns. Marshfield, Middleton, Hanson, Holden, Hamilton, Duxbury, Wenham, Weston and Wrentham had each filed legal complaints against the law in recent months, contending that it should not be enforceable after the Division of Local Mandates in Auditor Diana DiZoglio's office deemed the measure an unfunded mandate. More: Holden seeks short-term halt to MBTA housing law Plaintiffs said allowing multifamily housing by right in at least one reasonably sized zone as the law requires could force them to absorb significant new infrastructure costs with no state assistance. But Gildea concluded the possible costs are "indirect," which means the law is not an unfunded mandate, and that grant programs are available to help shoulder some of the burden. "Even if [the law] was an unfunded mandate, the Municipalities have failed to allege sufficient facts concerning any anticipated amounts associated with future infrastructure costs beyond a speculative level," Gildea wrote in a 40-page decision. Some of the plaintiffs laid out their own issues with the law as well, such as Middleton arguing that it should not be classified as an MBTA community and therefore should not be subject to the mandatory zoning reforms. Jason Talerman, an attorney for some of the towns, said in an email that plaintiffs are "disappointed with the result and find the decision to be contrary to applicable law." Most of the 177 communities subject to the law have approved new zoning reforms, putting them in compliance, according to the Healey administration. In January, the Supreme Judicial Court upheld the MBTA Communities Act as a constitutional law the attorney general can enforce with legal action.
