Morocco, «a fabulous country and a land of football, is the first African nation to host this World Cup», he celebrated, while highlighting the importance of this competition in discovering the world's best young players and offering them a valuable platform to showcase their talent.
For his part, Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) President Fouzi Lekjaa warmly welcomed the 24 teams participating in this edition to Morocco, «a land of hospitality, civilization, and prosperity».
In his speech, he noted that the Mohammed VI Football Complex, which hosted the draw, is an «iconic sports venue that embodies the exceptional development Morocco has achieved under the reign of His Majesty King Mohammed VI».
The draw placed Morocco in a challenging group alongside Brazil, Italy, and Costa Rica. Scheduled from October 17 to November 8, 2025, this competition will feature 24 teams for the first time, up from 16 in previous editions.
