Hyderabad: Telangana YouTuber Bayya Sunny Yadav is believed to have been picked up by unidentified persons claiming to be police officials in plain clothes from a residence in Chennai on Thursday night, triggering concern and confusion among his family and followers over his sudden disappearance.
Sunny was staying at the home of his friend and fellow YouTuber Cherry when he was allegedly picked up.
Sunny, 29, had visited Pakistan in Feb as part of his 40-country world tour and stayed there for nearly one-and-a-half months. His family now suspects his "detention" may be linked to that international travel. Sunny hails from Suryapet.
However, both Nalgonda and Suryapet police denied picking up Sunny and sources in the local National Investigation Agency office stated they had no knowledge of the incident.
The persons who claimed to be policemen were speaking in Telugu, it is learnt.
Following the incident, Sunny's father, Ravinder Yadav, said on Friday that he is planning to approach the Telangana high court to seek the court's intervention in tracing his son. "I was supposed to file a petition on Friday but couldn't. I will move the court on Saturday. Till now, I have no idea which police agency has picked up my son," he said.

According to Ravinder, individuals claiming to be from the Nalgonda police crime team arrived at Cherry's residence and told Sunny to cooperate. The same message was conveyed over a phone call to Cherry, who is currently in London. Sunny's phone has remained switched off since.
Ravinder said he learned about the incident through Cherry's family. He also recalled that, a few days earlier, men claiming to be from a central agency had visited their home to gather details about Sunny but did not reveal which agency they represented.
A few months ago, Sunny was arrested by Suryapet police in a suo motu case for allegedly promoting online betting via his YouTube content. He was later granted bail.

50 Cent to discuss Sean 'Diddy' Combs' pardon with US President Donald Trump: 'I would make sure he is aware...'

Rapper 50 Cent has revealed plans to speak directly with US President Donald Trump regarding the possibility of a presidential pardon for music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, currently facing serious charges in a sex trafficking case. The In Da Club rapper took to social media over the weekend to share his intentions following Trump's recent remarks in a televised interview, where he said that he would "consider" pardoning Diddy. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, took to his social media handle to post, "Donald doesn't take well to disrespect, and doesn't forget who chooses to go against him. While working tirelessly to make America great again there is no room for distraction. He would consider pardoning anyone who was being mistreated not Puffy Daddy." He went on to add, 'He said some really bad things about Trump, it's not ok. I'm gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.' The statement quickly circulated online, with some outlets interpreting his remarks as a call for Trump to block a possible pardon for Diddy. However, 50 cent clarified that he simply wants to express his personal views and "inform" the president. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Varför husägare bör installera solpaneler senast i januri '25 Greenmatch Ta reda på mer Undo Reposting a headline of an article claiming he 'plans to nuke' the musician's chances of getting pardoned, the rapper retorted, 'I didn't say I would nuke anything, I simply said I would make sure Trump is aware. ' 50 Cent has been openly critical of Diddy in recent months, especially following his arrest in September 2024 as part of an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation. The case has seen multiple witnesses testify, including a former assistant adding to the mounting allegations. Despite the charges, Trump hinted he may be open to pardoning Diddy, depending on how the case unfolds. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office this week, 'Nobody's asked, but I know people are thinking about it.' The president added: 'First of all, I'd look at what's happening, and I haven't been watching it too closely…I haven't seen him. I haven't spoken to him in years.' Besides taking shots at Diddy, 50 Cent has also been taking to his handle to troll rapper Jay-Z for his association with the musician. How Nepali "job-seekers" cross into India via Bihar to reach Qatar, UAE from Mumbai

In the past week, 10 Nepali nationals were arrested at Mumbai airport for trying to travel to Gulf countries using fake documents. Police say the group had entered India illegally by crossing the open Nepal-Bihar border and each of them had paid Rs 2.5 lakh to agents in Nepal for forged papers. How did they enter India? According to police, the group entered India through seven districts along the porous 601km Nepal-Bihar border—namely West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj. Instead of using legal entry points, they chose hidden routes to avoid checks. On May 26, six men, Ramekbal Mahto Dhanuk (27), Mohammad Samim Alam (23), Raki Yadav (20), Mohammad Haroon Manihar (37), Mobin Musalman (32), and Jogindra Yadav (36), were caught while trying to board flights to Doha and the UAE. They said they were going for job opportunities. Just three days later, four others, Jogindra Bishnu Das (24), Anish Kumar Sije Das (19), Sindhu Kumar Upendra Jha (22), and Jhagaru Ram Sobhait Das (38), were also caught. They claimed to be electrical assistants and labourers heading to the UAE. Live Events What raised suspicion? Immigration officer Ajay Mhatre noticed something odd in the documents of one passenger, Ramekbal Dhanuk. On checking further, they found the same issues with the other five travellers. Immigration officer Radha More later confirmed that the foreign employment permits shown by the four caught on May 29 were fake. The Nepal embassy in Delhi said they hadn't issued any NOC (No Objection Certificate) or work permit to these men, though they had submitted documents saying otherwise. Who's behind this? Police are now tracking two suspected agents in Nepal, Shakir Yadav and Ahmed. They are believed to have arranged fake Indian passports and forged embassy permits. The authorities are also checking if these agents had helped other people in a similar way. The investigation is ongoing to find out more about the network and how many people may have used this illegal route in the past. Inputs from TOI

SC to hear scribes' plea over assault by MP police for reporting on sand mafia

New Delhi, The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a plea filed by two journalists who were allegedly assaulted by police in Madhya Pradesh for reporting on the local sand mafia. The matter was mentioned for urgent listing before a bench of Justices Sanjay Karol and Satish Chandra Sharma. "Two journalists have been beaten up in a local police station in Madhya Pradesh," their lawyer informed the bench. She said the incident took place a month ago and the journalists rushed to Delhi following the incident. "They were reporting on sand mafia. It is very serious. They were beaten up in the police station. They have now sought protection," the lawyer said. The petitioners, the lawyer said, were apprehending arrest by police in Bhind. "Why you have not gone to the high court?" the bench asked. After the lawyer said the petitioners were presently in Delhi, the bench asked, "So we should entertain all-India matters for anticipatory bail only because a journalist is there?" The counsel claimed the lives of the petitioners were in danger and the Press Club of India had also condemned the incident. "Why don't you directly go to the high court today itself?" the bench asked. The lawyer, while saying the petitioners don't have the wherewithal to move the high court, urged the bench to list the plea for hearing. The bench then agreed to list the matter for hearing. "But you are running a risk. We are telling you, if it comes before this bench then you know the conclusion," the court said. The lawyer said she would try to persuade the apex court. On May 28, the Delhi High Court granted protection to a Madhya Pradesh-based journalist who claimed there was threat to his life by the Bhind superintendent of police after he was allegedly beaten in his office. The high court had directed Delhi Police to give protection to Amarkant Singh Chouhan, who hails from Madhya Pradesh and Bhind Bureau Chief of Swaraj Express news channel, for two months. "In the meantime, they can approach the high court concerned ," the high court said. Three journalists from Bhind district recently alleged that they were beaten or manhandled inside the office of superintendent of police, an allegation denied by the officer. Pritam Singh Rajawat who runs a YouTube channel, Shashikant Goyal who runs a news portal and Chouhan, alleged in a complaint submitted to the district collector that they were assaulted on May 1. Chouhan moved the Delhi High Court claiming he came to the national capital fleeing violence by the police in Bhind and was unable to return to Madhya Pradesh due to threat to his life and personal liberty.
