PETALING JAYA: The national men's hockey team's performance during overseas Tours is not a reflection of how they will perform during a tournament, says Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) president Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal.
With the Nations Cup set to take place in Kuala Lumpur from June 15-21, the Speedy Tigers have ventured overseas to sharpen their skills ahead of the tournament on home soil.

Malaysia finally lose a hockey match to South Korea

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia didn't save their best for the last, it seemed. In fact, it can be said that the national men's hockey team's worst result in their playing tour (five friendly matches) of South Korea came in their last match — losing 4-2 to world No. 14 South Korea at Jincheon Training Centre today. World No. 13 Malaysia, preparing for the Nations Cup in Bukit Jalil from June 15-21, won the first two friendlies with identical score of 4-1, but drew the next two matches, 5-5 and 1-1.
