Suniel Shetty DIDN'T cry during Athiya Shetty's ‘bidaai' after wedding with KL Rahul? Reason will prove dads' crazy love for daughters
Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty got married to KL Rahul in 2023 in an intimate ceremony. The power couple has been going strong since then and also welcomed their daughter, Evaarah, recently. Most recently, the Welcome to the Jungle actor revealed that he didn't cry during his daughter's 'bidaai' after her wedding. The reason behind his controlled emotions is sweet enough to melt your heart.
During a recent interview with The Lallantop, Suniel Shetty praised his son-in-law and cricketer, KL Rahul. When asked if he got teary-eyed during his daughter Athiya Shetty 's 'bidaai,' the actor stated that he thought he would cry the most, but he was in 'complete control'.
He further explained his reason, stating, "Kyunki somewhere down the line ek jab uncertainty hoti hai na zindagi mein ki bitiya jaa kahan rahi hai to vo emotion nikal kar aate hain lekin (Those emotions come out when there is an uncertainty about where the daughter is going to be, but) here I know she is going to a happier place."
The Hera Pheri 3 actor went on to recall how Athiya also asked him later about him not crying during her 'bidaai.' To which, the proud father explained to her also that he wasn't emotional as he was assured of her choice. According to him, he had that confidence in the cricketer about taking care of his daughter as "beautifully" as he would have.
In addition to this, during the conversation, Shetty also shared that their upbringing was such that they had always told their daughter to get married to somebody of her choice. "Somebody you're going to be happy with for the rest of your life more than anything else, baaki there is no restriction to anything," he shared, further emphasizing how he and Mana Shetty had been going strong even after years of their love marriage.
On the professional front, Suniel Shetty is enjoying the release of his latest film, Kesari Veer. Going further, he has a comedy-caper, Welcome to the Jungle, in the pipeline, led by Akshay Kumar. Directed by Ahmed Khan, it is set to release later this year in 2025, but the exact release date is yet awaited.

Paresh Rawal Wears ‘Don't Quit' T-Shirt After Hera Pheri 3 Exit; A Jibe At Akshay Kumar?
Last Updated: Paresh's sudden departure reportedly shocked Akshay, who had bought the rights to the beloved franchise only after Rawal's verbal nod. The Hera Pheri 3 controversy just got more dramatic. Days after veteran actor Paresh Rawal officially exited the much-anticipated comedy sequel, a photo of him wearing a 'Don't Quit" t-shirt has gone viral. The image, originally shared by actress Geeta Basra, has fans wondering if it's a subtle jab at the ongoing fallout with Akshay Kumar. Paresh's sudden departure reportedly shocked Akshay, who had bought the rights to the beloved franchise only after Rawal's verbal nod. The move allegedly caused financial setbacks for the production, prompting Akshay to initiate legal action against his longtime co-star. In response, Paresh clarified that he had genuine reasons for stepping away from the project and had returned the signing amount, with interest. 'My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest," Rawal posted on X (formerly Twitter), standing firm on his decision. The actor's 'Don't Quit" tee has become a talking point on social media, with fans and followers speculating whether it's a cryptic message aimed at the makers or a mere coincidence. Given the timing, it's certainly raised eyebrows. Adding to the tension, Hera Pheri franchise star Suniel Shetty also expressed his disappointment over Rawal's exit. In an interview with ANI, he said, 'It cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have a one per cent chance without me and Akshay, but it can't happen at all without Paresh ji. Raju and Shyam, if they're not hammered by Babu, it doesn't work." Rawal's portrayal of Babu Bhaiya is considered iconic, and fans find it hard to imagine the third installment without his signature wit and charm. While hopes are still alive for a possible reconciliation, the chances of seeing the original trio back together seem slim at the moment. With legal notices flying and social media dissecting every move, the fate of Hera Pheri 3 remains uncertain. First Published:
