Al-Nujaba pledges response to US strikes in Yemen
Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Iraq's Al-Nujaba Movement condemned US airstrikes on Ansar Allah (Houthis) in Yemen, pledging a response.
The group criticized US actions, stating, 'The American presence has only brought devastation, bloodshed, and displacement. No nation has found security or prosperity under a regime built on oppression, destruction, and resource theft.'
Al-Nujaba further accused Washington of "double standards," referencing recent de-escalation efforts in Gaza, and added, "Now, [the US] directs its aggression toward Yemen, a nation of resilience and dignity, while claiming to defend the Zionist criminals."
Vowing retaliation, the Movement declared, 'This blatant aggression and injustice will not go unanswered.'
The statement follows US airstrikes on Saturday targeting "Houthi military sites, including command centers and production facilities." The attacks caused significant damage, with eyewitnesses describing the aftermath as 'earthquake-like,' according to Arab media reports.
Washington defended the operation as a "warning" to Iran, with officials stating that strikes would continue until threats to maritime security in the Red Sea were neutralized. Both Tehran and Moscow condemned the actions, demanding an immediate halt, while the Houthis remained defiant, vowing that their attacks on Red Sea shipping routes 'will not cease.'

Pezeshkian: No peace without Immediate End to Israeli airstrikes
Shafaq News/ Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned, on Friday, that de-escalation hinges entirely on an 'immediate and unconditional stop' to Israeli military operations. The enemy [Israel] will come to regret its actions.' — Masoud Pezeshkian (@drpezeshkian) June 20, 2025 Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran would not engage in dialogue with any party while Israeli airstrikes persist.
