Aggie fans & media react to Texas A&M's series-clinching win over Arkansas in Game 3
Even though the Texas A&M baseball team's consecutive game winning streak came to an end in Game 2 of the series against No. 2 Arkansas, the conference winning streak remains intact.
The series came down to a dramatic game three in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where a blazing-hot Texas A&M Aggies team faced the No. 2-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks, known for one of the best offenses in college baseball. A&M consistently delivered timely hits throughout the game, showcasing their dominance. A significant weather delay before the seventh inning seemed poised to favor the Razorbacks, providing them a moment to regroup.
However, Texas A&M's Ben Royo turned the tide with a crucial solo home run immediately after the weather break, extending the Aggies' lead. This momentum carried through as A&M effectively shut down every scoring threat by Arkansas. The Aggies exited Baum-Walker Stadium triumphantly, securing their third straight SEC series victory.
This victory also marked their first series win in Fayetteville since 2016, solidifying their standing in the SEC and underscoring their capabilities as a formidable force in college baseball. Below are some of the best reactions from fans and media after Friday's win.

Jason Richardson shares how his son, Spartans star Jase Richardson spurned Alabama for MSU

Jason Richardson shares how his son, Spartans star Jase Richardson spurned Alabama for MSU A longstanding Michigan State basketball tradition was apparently a major factor in why Jase Richardson ended up as a Spartan instead of at Alabama. Jase Richardson and his dad Jason Richardson -- also a former Michigan State basketball star -- were on Podcast P with Paul George earlier this week, and Jason shared a fun story of how Jase ended up at Michigan State like his father. According to Jason, it appeared Alabama was the leader to land Jase's commitment but an upcoming visit to Michigan State was planned during the Spartans' annual "Grind Week" event -- which brings together former Michigan State players, current players and recruits for a weekend of festivities. Jason said during the interview that he told the Alabama coaching staff that if they let Jase visit Michigan State during "Grind Week" that he'd end up a Spartan. Alabama apparently tried to get Jase to shift his visit schedule knowing the magnitude of what Jason said, but it was too late. Jase went on his visit to Michigan State during "Grind Week" and the rest is now history. Check out the clip from podcast interview with both Jase and Jason below: Seeing this kind of connection between the Michigan State basketball players (former, current and potential future) is a really cool thing. "Grind Week" has always been a fun and impactful event for the program and this is just another use case where that occurred. Jase is projected to be a first round pick in the NBA Draft later this month. Jase is a fringe lottery pick after starring during his freshman season at Michigan State so it is safe to say he made the right choice in coming to Michigan State. Top Georgia quarterback recruit Teddy Jarrard visits Notre Dame

Top Georgia quarterback recruit Teddy Jarrard visits Notre Dame Top Georgia quarterback Teddy Jarrard visited Notre Dame for the first time Thursday, meeting with head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli. The Class of 2027 product from North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) is a four-star prospect who is ranked as the 17th-best signal caller in this class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jarrard, a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, has a bevy of offers from major schools, such as Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan, among others. The Fighting Irish have not yet extended an offer to a 2027 quarterback, but Jarrard could be the first. He plans to visit Purdue on Friday before heading to Penn State, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Mississippi State and Arkansas. But he would like to return to South Bend in the future. "Possibly for a game day or something if it comes that way," he said. "That'd be great. I had a great time up there and hopefully it comes to that where I'll be back for a game day." Many recruiting analysts believe Jarrard is ultimately destined for Georgia because of his appreciation for the program, and he is also the nephew of former Bulldogs letterman Cory Phillips. But don't count out the Irish, who could make Jarrard a centerpiece of the 2027 class.
