
RCMP investigating stranger sexual assault at Richmond, B.C., park

Authorities are searching for a suspect after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a stranger in a Richmond, B.C. park this week.
The victim told Richmond RCMP she was approached by a stranger at Manoah Steves Neighbourhood School Park between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
'During the course of their interaction, (she) alleges to have been sexually assaulted,' the detachment wrote in a news release Thursday.
Investigators believe there were at least two potential witnesses in the park at the time – and asked anyone who was in the area around the time of the alleged assault to come forward.
That includes anyone who was driving near the park that night and has dash-cam video.
'To date, Richmond RCMP has not received reports of any similar incidents,' the detachment said.
The suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, 5'7' to 5'9' tall, weighing 175 lbs. to 185 lbs. He was wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, a ball cap and possible work boots, the RCMP said.
Investigators are also looking for a suspect vehicle described as a silver or light-grey Toyota Tacoma crew cab pickup truck.
Richmond RCMP asked anyone with information to contact them at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2025-14818.
