The US legend – who has been a fan of Celtic for over two decades –wants to personally serve up cheese and bacon beef burgers to fans at Parkhead. Rap superstar Snoop Dogg has revealed plans to open a pop up burger bar at Celtic Park. The US legend – who has been a fan of Celtic for over two decades –wants to personally serve up cheese and bacon beef burgers to fans at Parkhead. In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mail, he said: 'There has always been the opinion that food at sports stadiums is never good but that ain't got to be the case. 'People know that Snoop is a cook and I would love to bring a pop up burger to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. 'It's got to be Celtic Park man, I mean where else am I going to bring it. 'The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple cured bacon. 'The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself.' The Drop It Like It's Hot star, 53, is a massive foodie and has appeared on cooking shows alongside kitchen legend Martha Stewart. He has also published a cookbook called From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen. He has also previously told how he wants to open a restaurant in Scotland with Rangers fan Gordon Ramsay – someone he reckons swears more than him. Snoop – real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jnr – said: 'I have told him I want to open a restaurant with him and maybe it might even be in Glasgow. 'For real – we are always swapping cooking tips and I do mean swapping. 'It's not just one way traffic, I send him tips as well – he respects Snoop as chef. 'My boy Gordon has got a worse mouth than me but that's only because of his passion However, Snoop – who played Glasgow in 2023 – says he would stop short at creating a signature burger for Celtic's rival Rangers. The rapper has previously told how he wants to open a restaurant in Scotland with Gordon Ramsay - someone he reckons swears more than him. 'For real - we are always swapping cooking tips and I do mean swapping. It's not just one way traffic, I send him tips as well – he respects Snoop as a chef. 'My boy Gordon has got a worse mouth than me but that's only because of his passion. You don't become the best chef in the world without having the passion he does.' Snoop told Michelin-starred Ramsay he wants to launch a venue together which might even be in Glasgow. He has also published a cookbook called From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen. Celtic Park has a history of culinary innovation. Arsenal release statement as Benjamin Sesko vs Viktor Gyokeres decision made
Arsenal appear to have finally made a decision between RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyokeres after lengthy deliberations Arsenal's number one priority in the summer transfer window is to sign a world-class centre-forward - and they are now getting close to making that wish a reality. The Gunners know they need to spend big on a striker after finishing second in the Premier League for the third straight campaign, while also coming up short in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Mikel Arteta has been assured by the club's hierarchy that there is money to spend on the right player. "We plan to invest to get behind winning and doing better next season," co-chairman Josh Kroenke said recently. "We're delighted we have our sporting director, Andrea [Berta], who will play an important role in this. He is part of a unified and strong team, supported by the board, who are crystal clear on exactly what we need to do and the way in which we want to do it. The right way. The Arsenal way." Arsenal moved closer to signing a back-up goalkeeper on Saturday by agreeing a deal to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for £5million. Kepa spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and now appears set to join the Gunners as a back-up to David Raya. And the club now seems to have settled on another right player for their Arsenal way. Read on to find out the latest in their search. Talks over £60m Sesko deal Arsenal appear to have chosen Benjamin Sesko over Viktor Gyokeres this summer, with talks ongoing over a £60million transfer. The Gunners were interested in signing Sesko from RB Leipzig last summer, but he decided to stay another season. Now it seems he's ready to move. The German club are willing to sell the Slovenia international for the right price. And they have asked the Slovenian Football Association to omit Sesko from their friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday in a clear sign that a deal could be struck soon. The 22-year-old has lots of fans at Arsenal, who believe his performance stats are more impressive than Gyokeres', due to the higher level in the Bundesliga, compared to the Portuguese top flight. Arsenal release Jorginho statement The Gunners have confirmed that Jorginho is departing the club early in order to join Brazilian club Flamengo in time to feature in the Club World Cup in the United States. Jorginho was due to leave when his deal expired on June 30, but has left earlier. Arsenal said in a statement: "The club can confirm that we have reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect. Thank you for everything and all the best, Jorgi" The Gunners are set to say goodbye to 17 players at the end of the month, with Jorginho's replacement already lined up in the form of Martin Zubimendi, who is expected to join from Real Sociedad for £51m. Man Utd lead Gyokeres race Arsenal going for Sesko over Gyokeres has helped Manchester United take the lead in the race for the Swedish striker. Gyokeres worked with Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon and could be reunited with him next season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe's drastic cost-cutting at Old Trafford could help them get to the front of the queue for Gyokeres, who is expected to demand in excess of £200,000 per week to join. The 27-year-old is likely to cost around £65m - around the same figure as Sesko, who is five years younger. Gyokeres could lead the line alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo at United next season. Cunha is joining for £62.5m from Wolves, while United have offered Brentford £55m plus £5m in bonuses for Mbeumo. The Scotland international has been in talks with the Scottish champions over a new deal but no agreement has been reached. Brendan Rodgers has made it abundantly clear that he wants to hold onto Taylor beyond this season but he looks set to quit the Hoops in the coming weeks. We told you in December how Dinamo Zagreb were the first club to be linked with the out-of-contract ace, with PAOK recently joining them in the transfer race. However, the Greek side jumped to the front of the queue when they tabled a lucrative offer to the player this month. Reports out of Greece claim the contract includes a two-year deal with an option to extend it by a further 12 months, along with a salary that's "significantly" higher than what he earns in Glasgow. PAOK technical director Christos Karipidis has confirmed the club are waiting on a response from Taylor. And Greek outlet Sport Dog claim he's been given a deadline of the end of June to make his decision. Manager Razvan Lucescu wants his new players in the door before the start of their first pre-season training camp, which is set for the end of the month. Taylor isn't the only player the Thessaloniki outfit are holding out for. The diggers move in as Celtic Park pitch is dug up Another former Celtic full-back is also on their radar. The report states that ex-Hoops loanee Jonjoe Kenny has also been approached with an offer. Kenny, who had a short loan stint at Parkhead in 2021, is currently a free agent after leaving Hertha Berlin last month.
