'Middle aged' Taylor Swift blasted for 'masquerading as a 17-year-old' by MAGA ally as he reveals major problem with celebrity culture
Taylor Swift was called 'middle aged' by a conservative media pundit who launched a scorched-earth tirade that claimed the pop star was just one of many aging entertainers 'masquerading as 17-year-olds.'
Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire issued a devastating takedown that called out a handful of celebrities who he said failed to 'grow up' in a desperate attempt to remain culturally relevant.
'You see it in the lyrics of a Taylor Swift also who pretends to be a lovelorn 16-year-old girl, when in fact Taylor Swift is currently age 35,' he said on his podcast.
Shapiro has been a vocal critic of the popstar for months, celebrating trolls who booed her at the Super Bowl as she cheered on her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
But she wasn't the only celebrity to be caught in his crosshairs on Wednesday.
Shapiro also raged against Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez, who sparked age-related criticism for her group make out session with multiple backup dancers during a performance at the American Music Awards.
The red-wing hero, who admitted he is a 'fuddy-duddy grumpy old man,' lamented that the A-listers' behavior is a reflection of a modern-day cultural flaw in society.
'There is this thing that's happening in our culture where a bunch of people are masquerading as 17-year-olds who are actually middle-aged,' he said.

'If you are of middle age, you should act like you are middle age... Like you're not a 17-year-old, or a 21-year-old trying desperately to gain attention.'
'Middle aged' is technically defined in the United States as aged between 40 and 60.
Setting his sights on 40-year-old Katy Perry, Shapiro said the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker is 'making a fool of herself doing her international tours right now.'
Perry has faced mounting criticism for her poor album sales and mocked for her 'midlife crisis' after an ill-fated trip to space.
But Shapiro reserved potentially his most scathing criticism for 45-year-old fellow podcaster Theo Von.
'I enjoy Theo Von as much as the next guy — although I think that his political takes are insanely stupid... I mean, Theo Von's a comedian. That's fine, it's also worth noting Theo Von is 45 years old,' Shapiro pointed out.
'Theo Von is four years older than I am. In the olden days, Theo Von would be closing in on the gold watch and retirement, and he dresses like a skater who's 16 years old, wears his hat backwards, and acts as though he's a refugee from the stoners club in junior high.
'It's a little weird... I see a bunch of people who are sort of in the podcast space, who are cosplaying at being 17-year-old Beavis and Butthead types.'
Shapiro's comments sparked a wave of backlash on X as audiences questioned why he would care about the behavior of strangers.
'You're jealous, aren't you?' one critic asked. 'People flew all over the world to see Taylor Swift, and you're barely a blip on a list of podcasts. You lose.'
Another wrote: 'The s**t you care about is f***ing ridiculous.'
Shapiro anticipated the backlash and conceded that he was on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to the celebrities he complained about, admitting: 'I've been 80 since I was 15.'
'I am a fuddy-duddy. I am a grumpy old man. I've always been a grumpy old man. I was a grumpy old man when I was a teenager.'
But he argued that his analysis uncovered something deeper about American society.
'There is something strange about a country that is rapidly aging in which because we are rapidly aging, and we don't have enough kids, we have decided that adults are going to be the new kids,' he said.
'We're going to treat 40-year-olds as though they are 20, and 60-year-olds as though they are 30. It's a strange look. It's very, very weird.
'Are we gonna do this forever? Is everybody just gonna turn into Madonna, twerking her way to glory with two artificial hips at the age of 92?'
Shapiro's reference to Madonna comes after Jennifer Lopez reused her 22-year-old stunt at the AMAs.
Madonna first the stage kiss to stun audiences back in 2003, when she shockingly pulled a then-21-year-old Britney Spears and 22-year-old Christina Aguilera into a three-way smooch at the MTV Video Music Awards.
At the AMAs, the 55-year-old singer locked lips with both a male and a female dancer on stage, sparking theories she was desperately trying to make her ex-husband Ben Affleck jealous.

Is this tick season going to be America's worst yet? Here's what to know
Peak tick season is approaching across the U.S and researchers are expecting this summer to be particularly brutal. But, is it the worst ever? University of Rhode Island entomologist Dr. Thomas 'The TickGuy' Mathers told The Independent that it's too early to call it but the numbers are looking worrying — he's received more submissions of nymphal blacklegged ticks, which carry Lyme disease, to the university's TickSpotters platform so far this month than the weekly average for the same period over the last decade. 'I don't know the answer just yet, if it's a trend going up – but I suspect it is, just based on the number of nymphal blacklegged ticks I've seen in the past couple of weeks,' he explained. Mathers noted that federal data shows emergency room visits related to ticks are up this year, with visits nearly doubling from 70 in April, to 131 in May. Other researchers who also count ticks are noticing a significant jump in specimens. Dr. Saravanan Thangamani, a professor at New York's SUNY Upstate Medical University who runs the Upstate Tick Testing Laboratory, has warned that more ticks are being sent to the lab than at the same time last year, marking a 217 percent increase. 'Based on the trend in tick submission I have observed thus far, I expect a tick season that is worse than the previous years,' he cautioned. But, Rutgers University professor and entomologist Dina Fonseca is not ready to make that call quite yet. She's a part of the submission project called New Jersey Ticks 4 Science! She said people say it's the worst year for ticks every year, noting there's no standardized tick surveillance. They're seeing more submissions, as well, but they don't know if it's just because more people are reporting them. 'Frankly, we don't have enough data over time to be able to say, 'Is it a worse year than normal or a better year than normal?' We don't know,' explained Fonseca. Whatever the case may be, the heightened activity between June and July leaves Americans exposed to 90 species of ticks and the diseases they can carry. Although ticks are on both coasts, they're largely found in the eastern U.S. Some, like brown dog ticks and blacklegged ticks, are located more widely. Not being prepared for ticks while doing outside activities and camping could carry a death sentence — although that's an extremely rare outcome. People bitten by ticks may be exposed to Powassan virus, Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, Tularemia, Lyme disease, and other pathogens that can cause human disease. People can be affected by multiple diseases at once. The nymphal blacklegged ticks are the ones Fonseca says people really need to worry about, as they can be infected with four different disease agents. That includes Lyme disease, which may lead to facial paralysis and irregular heartbeat if untreated. Although larger than larval ticks, nymphal ticks are only the size of a poppy seed. They may be hard to spot – even for people who are aware of their region's ticks and where they live. 'Look at the bowtie of Lincoln on a penny; that's the size of a nymphal blacklegged tick, Fonseca said. Exposure and prevention While it's easy to miss ticks, it can take about two days for any transmission to occur after a bite. People who find ticks on their skin should remove them with tweezers as soon as possible. Those who develop a rash or fever after removal should consult a doctor. As far as prevention goes, knowledge is power. Reducing exposure is the best way to avoid negative health outcomes. Mather advises that people follow what he calls the 'three Ts.' Wear tight clothing, tuck in shirts and pants legs, and wear clothes treated with 0.5 percent permethrin repellent. 'If you don't apply repellent, they can be ruthless,' Fonseca said, recalling a time when she picked 30-to-40 ticks out of her hair. Mathers remembers a trip to Fire Island that resulted in the exposure to 'literally hundreds' of fast-crawling ticks. Unfortunately, with a changing climate comes additional chances to pick up the blood-sucking hitchhikers. With a warmer atmosphere comes a wetter world, and parasites thrive in those conditions, and ticks have been observed moving north. Southern aridity is their enemy. 'One of the easiest ways to kill a tick is to dry the heck out of them,' said Fonseca.

President Trump reveals whether he'd pardon Diddy if mogul is convicted in sex trafficking trial
Mia says Diddy sexually assaulted her at his star-studded 40th birthday party Mia told the court that she was first sexually assaulted by Diddy during his 40th birthday party in 2009 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, which was attended by many celebrities like Bono, Denzel Washington, Kim Kardashian, Gayle King and Al Sharpton. She said the mogul approached her in the kitchen and complimented her on her work before pouring shots for her. 'I felt like they hit me kind of hard,' she said of the drinks. 'I was in my 20s in New York. Two shots would not have made me feel that way.' Mia told the jury what happened next: 'He was talking and all of a sudden his face [was] far closer, my eyes couldn't focus on his face because it was so close. 'I didn't really know what was happening... he put his am next to my head against the wall and leaned in to kiss me and put his other hand up the side of my dress.' Mia said she did not want to kiss Diddy or have his hand up her dress. 'I was shocked and I froze. I didn't even process what was happening,' she added. The next morning, she woke up clothed on a chair in the mainroom of the penthouse Diddy had rented. Martha Stewart takes a picture of Diddy at the party below. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

The murky history behind the eerie abandoned zoological park inside Disney World
Walt Disney World is known for its magic, meticulous upkeep, and the illusion that nothing is ever truly out of place. But hidden in plain sight, just across the water from Magic Kingdom, is a part of Disney that seems to be forgotten. Discovery Island, once a bustling zoological park, now sits abandoned and off-limits, its decaying remains slowly being overtaken by nature. With a murky history, eerie silence, and strict no-trespassing rules, the 11.5-acre island has become a rare glimpse into the side of Disney most guests never see. Originally opened in 1974 as Treasure Island, the location was designed as a tranquil wildlife sanctuary, home to exotic birds, tortoises, lemurs, and more. The theme was based off the 1950 pirate film of the same name, with a fake wrecked ship placed in the center of the island. In 1977, it was renamed Discovery Island to better reflect its focus on conservation and animal observation. Guests could stroll along winding paths, explore themed habitats like Flamingo Lagoon and Tortoise Beach, and learn about rare and endangered species in a serene, natural setting. However, in 1989, reports of horrifying animal 'abuse' began to circulate. Investigators said workers at Discovery Island allegedly fired a rifle at hawks, beat vultures to death with a stick, and destroyed the nests and eggs of egrets and ibises, per UPI. The park was charged with 16 counts of animal cruelty, but the charges were later dropped, according to The Ledger. As Disney continued to expand and create more enticing rides, the ticket numbers dwindled for the wildlife island. Then, in April 1998, Animal Kingdom Park was opened and people were stirred towards the new attractions, causing Discovery Island to be left behind. The island was closed in 1999 and all of the animals were moved to either Animal Kingdom or other zoos across the United States, per The Travel. For the last 26 years, Discovery Island has been completely abandoned and tightly secured. Disney has made it clear: no guests are allowed. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Justin Does Disney (@justindoesdisney) Signs around the surrounding waters warn boaters and would-be explorers to stay away. Anyone who dares to step foot on the island can face serious consequences including being arrested for trespassing and banned from all Disney properties for life. In 2020, a man named Richard McGuire was arrested after illegally camping on the island for several days during the pandemic. He later told police he thought it was a 'tropical paradise' and didn't realize he was trespassing, per TIME.
