Netflix viewers were left horrified by a very explicit movie that's '80% sex' and complained they were forced to switch it off after 'pornographic' scenes.
Burning Betrayal premiered in 2023 and is based on Sue Hecker's novel of the same name.
Starring Leandro Lima, Giovanna Lancellotti and Camilla de Lucas, the drama is packed full of steamy scenes that some watchers have found to be too much.
The saucy thriller follows a woman who 'sees her fiancé's betrayal as an opportunity for a sexual awakening,' according to the synopsis, and her actions come with 'consequences'.
However, Burning Betrayal's explicit moments caught the attention of some viewers who had mixed opinions.
One posted on X, formerly Twitter, and said: '#burningbetrayalis 80% sex and 9% plot.
'Just two people riding motorcycles and having sex. Did I watch it five times? You bet I did.'
While another suggested the film was more 'pornographic' than steamy, according to IGV.
Someone else penned on Rotten Tomatoes: 'The intent here was simulated sex, and that is achieved to the detriment of the storyline...'
While Decider described it as 'more erotic than thrilling, and more boring than erotic'.
Others on Rotten Tomatoes spoke more positively and penned: 'I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
'The music was great and there were artists I had to Google because I had not heard of them, especially loved IZA's song, Dona De Mim. Beautiful cinematography and beautiful people. Because the critics tore it apart, you know it had to be worth watching!'
Another said: 'The film is very sensual with an impactful story that left with the possibility of continuation.'
It comes after award-winning director James Cameron's forgotten film was hailed as 'brilliance on a whole new level' when it finally landed on Netflix.
James Cameron is known for his involvement with movie classics like Titanic, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Directing as well as Avatar, which earned him a Global Globe Award.
Another film directed by Cameron, which isn't as well known, is 1989 sci-fi thriller The Abyss.
The adventure movie follows a diving team, made of civilians, who are roped into helping with a search for a lost submarine.
Ed Harris, Mary Mastrantonia, Micahel Biehn and Dick Warlock are amongst some of the talented cast members.

The siren from Brazil had her third child, whom she shares with partner Joaquim Valente, strapped to her chest in a $366 off-white baby carrier from Zeitgeist Spirit. The 44-year-old Versace model also had her dog's black leash tied around her torso in what is called a 'hands-free leash.'
