IIT Kanpur To Conduct JEE Advanced Exam 2025 Live Updates: The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2025 is set to be conducted on May 18. JEE Advanced paper is held for paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted in the morning shift from 9 am to 12 noon and paper 2 will be held in the afternoon from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The JEE Advanced 2025 examination centres will remain open at 7 am. Aspirants can enter the exam center from 7 am.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is organising JEE Advanced this year.
Candidates will have to appear for both papers. Each question paper will consist of three separate sections — physics, chemistry and mathematics. The JEE Advanced question papers will comprise of questions designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers for some of the questions.
Aspirants should carry a printout of the downloaded JEE Advanced 2025 admit card and a valid original photo identity card to the exam centre.
Live Updates
Candidates are advised not to wear charm or taweez. JEE Advanced aspirants should also not wear items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain or necklace, pendant, badge, brooch, clothes with big buttons. They are also advised to wear open footwear like chappals and sandals.

Participants also explored the vibrant student culture at IIT Patna that supports their holistic growth through clubs, cultural activities, and extracurricular engagements. The open house featured engaging presentations and live question-answer sessions with the institute's leadership, including director T N Singh, academic dean (undergraduate) Sushant Kumar, academic dean (student affairs) P K Tiwari, and several other faculty members. The participants received a detailed overview of 32 major and minor academic programmes across 18 disciplines being conducted in the institution. They were also given the details of an interdisciplinary dual degree (B Tech-MBA) programme offered in collaboration with IIM Mumbai and IIM Bodh Gaya, and a six-month industry internship designed to provide real-world experience. The open house also organised sessions on the key aspects of the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process, international research collaborations, and the wide array of student support systems available at IIT Patna. During a felicitation ceremony held at the Chief Minister's camp office in Undavalli, the Chief Minister also congratulated other outstanding performers from the institution, Bhanu Charan Reddy (AIR 51), Thorati Bharadwaj (AIR 82), and Jaswanth Venkata Raghuveer (AIR 98), along with their proud parents. To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister presented shawls to the top-performing students. Salem: Tribal girl A Rajeshwari, 18, of Karumandurai in Salem district has ensured a seat in an IIT after scoring high in JEE Advanced. Rajeshwari, the daughter of late Aundi and Kavitha of Appakudi, completed her schooling at the Karumandurai Government residential school in Vazhapadi taluk of Salem district. Appakudi is a tribal village in the Kalvarayan Hills. She passed the Class XII board examination with a score of 521 out of 600. Rajeshwari secured All India Rank (AIR) 417 in the JEE Advanced under the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category. This has ensured Rajeshwari an opportunity to study at an IIT. "With the support of my teachers, I took the JEE to pursue my studies at IIT-Madras," she told TOI. She made use of JEE coaching facilitated for tribal students by the Tamil Nadu govt. Chief minister M K Stalin said his govt would bear all the higher education expenses of Rajeshwari. In a post on X, the CM stated, "I salute Rajeshwari for her achievement. A student from a govt residential school, Rajeshwari, despite the loss of her father, has held his dream close to her heart and made it a reality." Rajeshwari's father, Aundi, who was a labourer, died in 2024 due to cancer. Her mother, Kavitha, engages in gardening work in the area. Rajeshwari's brother, Sriganesh, is a BSc mathematics graduate and is employed at a private company. Her elder sister, Jagatheeshwari, has completed a BSc in chemistry. Her younger sister, Paramesh, is in Class X. "Even after my father succumbed to cancer, my mother, brother and sisters supported me in pursuing my education. Because of their help, I was able to study diligently and pass JEE Advanced. I have now secured a spot to study at IIT-Madras," Rajeshwari said.
