called out Shaboozy accused of 'side-eyeing' co-host Megan Maroney in tense onstage AMAs moment
CHART star Shaboozy has been called out by fans for supposedly throwing side-eye at his American Music Awards co-host.
The A Bar Song (Tipsy) hitmaker, real name Collins Obinna Chibueze, was caught taking a seemingly cutting glance at Megan Moroney as they presented a joint award during Monday's ceremony.

Yet Shaboozey appeared stunned by the Hair Salon singer's comment about the Carter family 'inventing country music'

It came as he teamed up with the Hair Salon songstress to present the accolade for Favorite Country Duo or Group category at the Las Vegas event.
Dressed in a smart checked suit, paired with white shirt and black waistcoat, he stood alongside Georgia-born Megan, 27.
She read the teleprompter and a phrase referring to country music being at the heart of the AMA history and said: "That same year, Favorite Female Artist went to Lynn Anderson, and this award [Favorite Country Duo or Group] went to the Carter family, who basically invented country music."
Her comment about the American folk music group caused Shaboozey to pause, and take a direct glance over his left shoulder, which fans couldn't miss.

He then picked the dialogue back up and revealed this year's winners to be Dan and Shay.
Yet fans were quick to pick up on his attitude towards the Tennessee Orange hitmaker, despite the fact he eventually laughed the comment off.
One fan remarked on X: "Shaboozey's face when Megan Moroney read the teleprompter saying the 'Carter family, who basically invented country music'"
A second posted: "And he was right sorry," as a third quizzed: "I wonder if he thought she meant Beyonce?"

Another wrote: "Can't spell Moroney without moron."
Yet one sided with the songstress and agreed of the Carters: "They were very important in the early days of country music."
Jennifer Lopez slammed by fans over 'embarrassing' American Music Awards kiss with female dancer
The Virginia-based Carter Family found fame with tracks including Wildwood Flower, Keep On The Sunny Side and Wabash Cannonball to name a few.
They recorded and performed from 1927 to 1956.

They are also linked to Johnny Cash, with June Carter Cash marrying the musician in 1968 and helping him ditch booze and return to his religious ways.
It is possible crossed wires might have prompted Shaboozy and AMA viewers to believe Megan was referring to Beyonce, who recently released her Cowboy Carter album and is on tour currently.
Yet many online made the point that Country music as a genre orginated in the Southern regions of the US.
It is believed to be a mix of folk music traditions and influences from the British Isles as well as African American sounds.

The latter community are believed to have shaped the genre with their blues and work songs.
SHOW SHOCK
Yet the moment wasn't the only shock at the AMA's.
Jennifer Lopez - who was acting as host - was blasted for what some branded as an "embarrassing" start to the show.
Her lively choreography saw the I'm Real popstar, 55, belt out a variety of the year's top hits.

As she transitioned from singing Benson Boone's Beautiful Things into Teddy Swims' Lose Control, she swooped in for a kiss with her backing dancers.
First she shared a smooch with a male dancer, before a female grabbed her head for an extended snog.
The unexpected kisses saw JLo blasted by fans who were left hugely confused by her behaviour.
One suggested on X she had "lost the plot" while another posted: "Why is Jennifer Lopez kissing everyone at the AMAs?"

Another viewer wrote: "Just looked up from my phone and JENNIFER LOPEZ IS KISSING A GIRL?!?!"
Others then suggested the Maid In Manhattan actress had staged the routine intentionally to make ex husband Ben Affleck jealous, after their divorce was finalised.
JLo stripped to a semi-sheer catsuit adorned with silver panels and jewel detail for her performance, cutting a glam figure as she styled her hair poker-straight.
The AMAs host kicked off with her 2012 tune Dance Again before following with some of the year's top hits including Billie Eilish's Birds Of A Feather and Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us.

The star was back hosting the AMAs after having previously stepped into the role in 2015.
The Love Don't Cost A Thing vocalist first graced the AMAs stage in 2001 and has gone onto perform 10 times at the prestigious awards.
Previously, event bosses gushed over JLo's return to the AMA's stage - as other stars including Taylor Swift gave the event a miss.
The star previously showed off a nasty-looking cut to her face after rehearsals for the event.

It came shortly after her movie star ex Ben opened up on their "embarassing" divorce.

Diddy can still come out of trial a ‘winner' even if found guilty & despite damning trial abuse allegations, lawyer says

The trial has heard weeks of gut-wrenching testimony from various witnesses, including musical artists Cassie and Kid Cudi LESSER CHARGE Diddy can still come out of trial a 'winner' even if found guilty & despite damning trial abuse allegations, lawyer says SEAN "Diddy" Combs can still come out of his federal trial as a winner if he's not convicted on all charges, despite the scandalous evidence and testimony from witnesses, according to an attorney. Week three of Combs' federal trial has wrapped up as more witnesses, including another former assistant, continued to testify about the violence the music executive, 55, inflicted behind closed doors. However, Combs' defense team has argued that the alleged victims all engaged in consensual sexual acts and remained by his side for years because of his lavish lifestyle and career advancements. Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor who is not involved in the trial, said even if the music mogul is convicted of some crimes but not all, he will come out as a winner. "Diddy's defense is that these individuals engaged in these sex acts willingly," Rahmani told The U.S. Sun. Advertisement "There was no force. There was no coercion. They chose to do drugs. They weren't drugged. "And the fact that they may have been paid may be unlawful under the prostitution charges, but to the extent that the defense gets guilty verdicts on prostitution only, and not guilties on racketeering and sex trafficking, that would be a huge win for Diddy in the defense." WEEK THREE For the second day, the courtroom heard on Friday gut-wrenching testimony from Combs' former assistant, referred to only as Mia, about the total control he held over her. Mia, who worked for Combs for eight years in various capacities starting in 2009, testified how he made her work grueling hours and violently attacked her. Advertisement The former assistant, one of Combs' many ex-employees who have taken the stand, broke down in tears as she told the jury about the multiple times he allegedly raped her. Mia admitted in her testimony that she never disclosed the alleged sexual assaults to anyone, saying, "I was going to die with this." Diddy trial descends into CHAOS as his lawyers explode and demand case be thrown OUT The emotional victim recalled Combs' spurts of violence towards her and Ventura, telling jurors about the times he allegedly threw a computer and his bowl of spaghetti at her head. "I wondered, what did I do to make him like this to me?" Mia testified. Advertisement The jury heard from Scott Mescudi, better known as rapper Kid Cudi, during the trial's second week. Mescudi's testimony was dominated by the January 2012 incident when his Porsche was blown up on his driveway by a Molotov cocktail, which he accused Combs of being responsible for. Advertisement The jurors were shown pictures of Mescudi's charred sports car with the cut-up roof where the explosive was thrown. The trial opened up with powerful testimony from Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend of over a decade. The singer, 38, emotionally spoke about how Combs forced her to participate in weekly drug-fueled sex marathons, which he called "freak-offs," with male escorts. Ventura, who said she did not want to engage in the sex acts, told the court her music career took a backseat due to the toll the "freak-offs" took on her day, testifying how she needed days at a time to recover. Advertisement Prosecutors also released photos of the injuries Ventura allegedly suffered from Combs' years-long abuse, including a gash on her forehead that had become a permanent scar. Dawn Richard, a singer who once competed in Combs' reality show Making the Band, also testified how she witnessed the music executive's abuse of Ventura. Richard, who was signed to Bad Boy Records and part of the trio Diddy – Dirty Money, described how Combs hit Ventura "on the head and beat her on the ground" during a visit to his home recording studio in 2019. Combs' trial is expected to continue until the first week of July, with the prosecution's case slated to rest the week of June 9. Advertisement Diddy's charges explained by a lawyer Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani explained the set of charges Diddy is facing to The U.S. Sun: "Diddy is facing three charges, or three sets of charges. "The first is racketeering, which you typically see with organized crime enterprises - so the mob, cartels, street gangs -but we're seeing it a lot more in sex trafficking cases. "And you don't need an organization like the mob, as long as it's an enterprise, which is something that consists of two or more people, and they engage in two or more RICO predicate acts, that's enough for racketeering. "Racketeering is a powerful charge because it allows the government to bring in all sorts of evidence of criminal activity, as well as all sorts of people, into that racketeering conspiracy. "And anyone who's a co-conspirator, they're on the hook for any criminal acts committed in furtherance of the conspiracy. "The most serious charge, though, is sex trafficking. "What separates sex trafficking from normal sex? Adults, of course, can consent to any type of sex, no matter how freaky it is. But sex trafficking has one of three elements: force, fraud, or coercion. "And the government is saying that Diddy used force to force these men and women to participate in these freak-offs, and he coerced them by drugging them. "The least serious charge is the prostitution, sometimes called the Man Act, and that's engaging in prostitution using some sort of interstate commerce across state lines. That obviously is unlawful. "Typically, you don't see federal cases for prostitution only, which is why it's the least serious of the crimes." 10 Combs intensely watches as his former assistant 'Mia' testifies at his trial on May 29 Credit: Reuters

CBS Sports acquires the rights to air Women's Champions League matches

CBS Sports has acquired the U.S. broadcast rights for the UEFA Women's Champions League through the 2029-30 season, the network announced Saturday. All 75 matches for the upcoming season will be streamed on Paramount+, with select games aired on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network. CBS Sports and UC3, the commercial partnership between UEFA and the European Club Association, announced the deal before the men's Champions League final in Munich. The Women's Champions League is expanding next season to 18 teams from 16, in a single league standings instead of groups before the knockout stage. A second-tier Women's Europa Cup also will launch. Last week UC3 announced that Disney+ will stream the women's matches in Europe through the 2030 season. One game per week will be shown on some free-to-air networks and members of the European Broadcasting Union. The Women's Champions League final last week between Barcelona and Arsena l completed a four-year deal under which fans could watch games for free on streaming service DAZN and YouTube. ___
