England head coach John Mitchell has made three changes to his starting XV to face Ireland in Cork in the Women's Six Nations on Saturday with World Cup-winning number eight Alex Matthews returning.
Last year's World Rugby women's player of the year nominee Matthews, 31, missed the opening two rounds through suspension and is joined by captain Zoe Aldcroft and Sadia Kabeya in the back row.
Props Maud Muir and Hannah Botterman also come into the starting line-up in the pack for Mackenzie Carson, who on Monday was ruled out of the rest of the tournament with an ankle injury, and Bristol Bears' Sarah Bern.
Former captain Marlie Packer again misses out on the matchday squad, with Maddie Feaunati named on the bench after starting the opening two rounds at number eight, winning player of the match against Italy before scoring twice against Wales.
Packer, 35, started England's opening Six Nations win over Italy in York after being replaced as Red Roses captain in January by Aldcroft.
However, the Saracens flanker was left out of the matchday squad that hammered Wales at Principality Stadium in round two.
Captain Aldcroft has started all three games this championship at blind-side flanker, with Saturday being her eighth start in the back row after spending the majority of her 60-cap international career at lock.
England are seeking a seventh Six Nations title in a row before a home Rugby World Cup that starts in August.
Fly-half Zoe Harrison spent the majority of last year behind Holly Aitchison, but is retained from the victory over Wales after four try assists and an assured kicking performance.
Trailfinders Women wing Abby Dow scored two tries in Cardiff - both assisted by Harrison - and starts on what will be her 50th cap alongside regular back-three members Ellie Kildunne and Jess Breach.
Centres Tatyana Heard and Megan Jones started four out of five games in last year's Grand Slam-winning campaign and again line up in the midfield together.
Ireland, who shocked New Zealand at WXV1 in October, come into the game off the back of a first away win in the Women's Six Nations since 2021.
Scott Bemand's side scored four tries to thrash Italy in Parma and make amends after failing to capitalise on opportunities in an opening-round defeat by France in Belfast.
Ireland suffered a record 88-10 Six Nations defeat by England in last year's championship but head coach Bemand said earlier this week that his side are now a considerably "better team".
England: Kildunne; Dow, Jones, Heard, Breach; Harrison, Hunt; Botterman, Atkin-Davies, Muir, Talling, Ward, Aldcroft (capt), Kabeya, Matthews.
Replacements: Cokayne, Clifford, Bern, Galligan, Feaunati, L Packer, Aitchison, Rowland.
Ireland: Flood; McGann, Dalton, Higgins, Costigan (capt); O'Brien, Lane; O'Dowd, Jones, Djougang; Tuite, Wall; Hogan, King, Wafer.
Replacements: Moloney, McCarthy, Haney, Campbell, Moore, Reilly, Fowles, Elmes Kinlan.

Bellamy bullish about World Cup despite Wales' loss in thriller against Belgium

BOSS: Craig Bellamy was proud of his Wales players in Belgium (Image: Adam Davy) Craig Bellamy insisted Wales' hopes of qualifying automatically for the World Cup were far from over despite their dramatic 4-3 defeat to Belgium. Wales lost a seven-goal thriller in Brussels after fighting back from a 3-0 deficit, only for Kevin De Bruyne to deliver a gut punch two minutes from time. Advertisement It was Bellamy's first defeat in 10 games in charge and Wales were also knocked off top spot in Group J by North Macedonia, 1-0 winners in Kazakhstan. Belgium are three points behind Wales with two games in hand, and will visit Cardiff in October for the return fixture. The group winners will qualify automatically for next summer's finals in Canada, Mexico and the United States, with Wales almost certainly guaranteed a play-off place through their Nations League results. Wales manager Bellamy said: 'I think I read something from the Belgium media – 'an easy way to the USA'? 'There's a lot of life in this group and today I saw a lot of life in this team. We aren't going anywhere. Advertisement 'I will have a couple of weeks now of recharging but I'm beyond proud and really excited about the future.' Belgium led 3-0 inside 27 minutes through Romelu Lukaku – a controversial penalty awarded after De Bruyne's shot hit the hand of Brennan Johnson – Youri Tielemans and Jeremy Doku. Harry Wilson gave Wales hope from the penalty spot ahead of the break before Sorba Thomas, with his first Wales goal, and Johnson put the visitors back on level terms. Bellamy said: 'I don't like losing. I understand the game but how you lose is more important. 'Who are you as a person? Who is your team? I see that and I'm beyond proud. We're a good team. Advertisement 'To come to a top-eight team and can we play the way we want to play? I think the Belgium players saw it as well. I won't tell you what we discussed.' Bellamy had promised to go on the attack in Brussels before the game and not sit back and defend against opponents ranked eighth in the world. He said: 'I understand results, I really do. But football means more to me than that. It always has done. 'I'd rather try something great and fail than do nothing and succeed. I've always been that way. 'I might not be great at anything but I'll try to be. It means more. I liked that. 'I said I wasn't coming to sit back, it's not in my nature, don't do it … it's not our culture, it's not who we are. 'So for me it was, 'can we come to a top-eight team in the world then and come and play?'.'

No slowing down: Harry Kane now has 72 international goals (AFP via Getty Images) England will be looking for a much-improved display as they host Senegal tonight. The Three Lions laboured to a 1-0 win over Andorra on Saturday in their latest World Cup qualifier, with Harry Kane's finish the only goal Thomas Tuchel's side could manage against the minnow. Advertisement The England boss made it clear after the match he was unimpressed with what he saw and will be demanding much more intensity at the City Ground, even if Senegal's visit is a friendly encounter. It is now only a year until the World Cup and with England not in action until they face Andorra again in September, Tuchel will want his players to make the most of every minute together. Senegal drew with Ireland on Friday night, as Ismaila Sarr scored late on in Dublin.
