Report: Deadly shooting at Florida fast-food restaurant may have been over mayonnaise packets
A Checkers restaurant in Kissimmee is back open after an altercation between an employee and a customer turned into a deadly shooting last week.
Court documents state cameras from the Checkers shows employee Elijah Mackey, 23, climbing out of a drive-thru window Wednesday night, walking to the front of the building where the victim was, then moments later deputies say it shows the victim falling to the ground.

In the arrest affidavit, two witness statements claim to have seen Wesley Robertson ordering from one of the front windows. After getting his order, the witnesses say he started complaining. One of the witness statements alleges it was over mayonnaise packets.
'It's very shocking. It's not even worth somebody's life over a pack of mayonnaise,' said Yajaira Hernandez.
Mackey is charged with first-degree murder. Investigators allege the shooting was premeditated. Criminal attorney Jose Rivas explains how that could be the case. He says it only takes seconds to plan a shooting.
'The moment he crawls out the window, he's walking, whether it's three seconds, five seconds, ten seconds, he's walking towards this individual with an intent,' said Rivas.
Rivas says that's what the state will try to prove.
Mackey was denied bond. Court documents also state Mackey told deputies he had a gun on him when they found him hiding under a stairwell next door at Celebration Suites.
Deputies say they recovered a gun from his person.

8-year-old shot in South Fulton
The South Fulton Police Department said one person was arrested after a 8-year-old was shot Friday night. Officers responded to the 4300 block of Cascade Road and found an 8-year-old child with a gunshot wound to the leg. 2 arrested after chase that started in Villa Rica, involved 2 collisions, police say
Police say two people from Atlanta were arrested after a chase that stretched from Villa Rica to Carrolton on Thursday. The Villa Rica Police Department said the suspects' truck damaged three other vehicles, but no one was reportedly hurt. Police said the truck traveled slowly before coming to a stop in the fast lane on Highway 61. Once a second police unit arrived, officers tried to contact the driver, later identified as Kevin Lynch. Police said the truck hit two vehicles, and debris from one of those collisions struck a third vehicle. People in the truck were also seen throwing items out of the vehicle during the chase. Brown was charged with tampering with evidence, criminal trespass and obstruction and littering. Villa Rica police said Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol and Carrollton Police Department assisted in the arrest. Officials say this incident is still being investigated.

Former NFL player Adam ‘Pacman' Jones arrested in Kentucky
Police in Kentucky arrested former NFL player Adam 'Pacman' Jones. Action News Jax's Ohio station, WHIO-TV, reports Jones was booked into the Kenton County Jail early Saturday morning. Jones, who is from Atlanta, faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct in the second degree and assault on a police officer in the third degree, according to the jail records. Police have not said what led to the charges. Advertisement This is at least the third arrest within the past two years for Jones, who has a history of legal issues. WHIO-TV reported Jones was arrested at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) in 2023 for alcohol intoxication, terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct. He later pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct in December 2023. Arlington, Texas police arrested Jones back in November after officers said he got into a fight near AT&T Stadium after the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match, the Athletic reported. Jones played 13 years in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos.
