A TikTok video of two golden retriever siblings squabbling in a sunlit backyard has left viewers on the platform laughing hysterically, while capturing the essence of life with the famously good-natured breed.
The clip, posted by the pets' owner under @alongwithallie, has amassed more than 701,000 views and 95,000 likes since it was first shared on May 27, sparking amused responses from dog lovers around the world.
Viewers were able to see a scene familiar to many pet owners: a quiet backyard, bright spring light, and two golden retrievers in the middle of what could loosely be described as "playful combat."
In this case, one of the retrievers—a 2-year-old—decisively drags the other, a 5-year-old, by the snout. Despite the forceful move, both dogs remain relatively relaxed, showing clear comfort in their sibling dynamic.
Golden retrievers, one of the most popular breeds in the U.S., are often known for their patience, friendliness and exuberance. But owners of multiple goldens often note that the dynamic between siblings—or even unrelated dogs living under the same roof—can be both affectionate and unruly. As the viral clip demonstrates, play between dogs can sometimes resemble a scuffle more than a snuggle.
"This pretty much sums up life with two golden retrievers," an overlaid text on the video read. The post's caption added an extra layer of humor: "The 2-year-old dragging the 5-year-old sounds about right."
That simple line has struck a chord with TikTok users. More than 400 comments have rolled in from pet owners identifying with the scene, sharing their own tales of canine chaos and sibling rivalries among their pets. Some marveled at the tolerance of the older dog, others at the brazen confidence of the younger. But nearly all agreed on one thing—the video is hilarious.
"This is 100 percent two of mine," one viewer said. "One loves to be dragged."
"One with a bunch of energy and the other is lazy playing," another added.
"I got three of them [they are] a trip together," a third viewer shared.
"The one on the left is working smarter not harder," another said.
"They are so passive aggressively passive," another viewer commented. "The sweetest breed ever."
"I know 5-year-old golden fights for his life everyday," another said.
"Omg that is hilarious," another added. "So cute! I've seen my [golden] drag my 125 lb Bernese mountain dog like that!"

Ryan Coogler Confirms Denzel Washington Has a Part in 'Black Panther 3'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors Back in March, "Sinners" director Ryan Coogler reacted to Denzel Washington's public statements about appearing in "Black Panther 3" and while it was something Coogler seemed excited about, he stopped just shy of confirming it. Now, Coogler has confirmed not only that he has talked to Washington about showing up in "Black Panther 3", but that he has written a role specifically for the two-time Oscar-winning star. Read More: James Gunn Wants Peacemaker to Fight Batman Appearing on "7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony", Coogler was asked if there had been conversations with Washington or if he was writing a role specifically for the actor. Coogler's answer: "All of that. All of the above, bro." Denzel Washington poses at the opening night after party for "Othello" on Broadway at Tavern on The Green on March 23, 2025 in New York City. Bruce Glikas/WireImage He went on to praise Washington, saying, "I think he's the greatest living actor. And in terms of what he means to our culture, forget about it. I've been talking to him about this for a long time." Coogler's confirmation that he's written a part for Washington shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Back in March, Coogler said "Yeah, I've been dying to work with Denzel, man, and I'm hoping we can make that happen." "I have every intention of working with him in ['Black Panther 3']. As long as he itches to do it, it's gonna happen. You know, he's a living legend and a great mentor for so many of us. He's all about looking out for us now." As far as who exactly Denzel Washington would play in "Black Panther 3", Coogler is keeping that to himself. That hasn't stopped fans from speculating, of course, with some even guessing his character might be from another part of Marvel's multiverse and could be a variant of T'Challa's father T'Chaka, or perhaps even T'Challa himself. One popular fan-casting is the villain Achebe, who was created as a kind of eccentric mix between Kaiser Soze of "The Usual Suspects" fame and the Joker. Not possessed of any special abilities, Achebe instead manipulates his ways into political power in Wakanda. Very little is known about "Black Panther 3" including whether or not it has a firm release date. Letitia Wright is expected to reprise the role of Shuri for the film, potentially appearing alongside Denzel Washington. Bear Breaks Into Family's Backyard, Nobody Prepared for What It Does Next

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A Los Angeles homeowner was stunned when a black bear entered their backyard, but it is what the animal did next that has shocked internet users. In a viral TikTok video shared on Saturday under the username @laurenaurora, the bear is filmed walking around the yard as if he owns the place, before proceeding to jump inside the family's pool for a refreshing splash. The poster and her mom can be heard in the background, discussing about calling the police, while the unaware bear freshens up in the 90-degree Fahrenheit heat. "Excuse my mom and I's commentary, but it's not every day that you see a bear in your backyard. This bear was most likely displaced from the Eaton fires, but enjoy this cute clip of it cooling off in my pool," the caption says. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says that black bears are the only wild bears in the state, but they do come in different colors, from solid shades of black to lighter ones of brown and tan. With over 35,000 specimens, California has the second-highest black bear population in the whole country, following Alaska, which has 100,000. Although rare, bear attacks can and do happen, which is why you should exercise caution around them. WebMD says that, if a bear has noticed you and looks threatening, there are things you can do to de-escalate the situation. The first thing to do is stay calm. Do not run away, as this can make the bear think you are prey. If you're in a group, gather everyone together and pick up any small children. You can try talking to the bear calmly so it knows you are human and back away slowly, trying to avoid any unnecessary interaction. However, if the bear starts to approach, WebMD says you should make yourself as big as possible by stretching your arms over your head and making loud noises. If it charges at you, it is time to use bear spray, which you should take with you in areas densely populated by bears. One user, A. commented: "If this happened in MY backyard, I would cancel my entire day and just watch that beautiful creature and let him do whatever he wants and pray that he's ok." Casey posted: "Immediately disappointed we don't have more bear in pool footage." Angiehall6082 added: "He's so hot and miserable. Please just let him cool off. He will go away after he has a little swim." Newsweek reached out to @laurenaurora for comment via TikTok comments. We could not verify the details of the case. Watch what happens when dad tries his daughter's homemade churro

Watch what happens when dad tries his daughter's homemade churro Show Caption Hide Caption Watch as churro dad take an explosive bite When this man tried his daughter's dish for a Spanish project, the result ended up turning more into a "science" project. A dad got something totally unexpected when he bit into his daughter's homemade churro. TikTok user @morganwickam0 prepared the churros as part of a Spanish project, according to a caption on the video posted May 26. It was her first time making the fried dough treat, and she sat her father down for a taste. "Tiempo probar los churros," the girl says in the video, which translates to "time to try the churros." A wholesome video between a daughter and her dad for a school project quickly turned into a chaotic moment after the churro had a surprising outcome: exploding in his face. As the dad made his first bite, a sound like a gunshot rang out, and bits of churro flew out of the dad's mouth. Watch the exploding churro moment. Is an exploding churro rare? Yes, and no, it really depends on whether you cook them correctly. According to Tasty, a churro can "explode" if steam becomes trapped inside the treat when it is fried. A reason churros are star-shaped with ridged edges is to prevent steam from becoming trapped. In the TikTok video, the churros made for the Spanish project are completely smooth, trapping steam and seemingly making them into a ticking churro bomb. As of June 6, the video had 2.6 million views and thousands of comments. In a follow-up video, the girl and the father gave an update on the situation, with the dad joking he won't be 'able to taste anything for at least a year.'
