Moment killer pulls out samurai sword and calls it sexy before going on to hack schoolboy, 14, to death

This is the horrifying moment a killer pulled out a samurai sword and called it sexy before hacking a schoolboy to death, a court has heard.
Amateur musician and 'mystic' Marcus Monzo, 37, killed Daniel Anjorin, 14, who was walking to school in Hainault, east London on April 30 last year.
Before the brutal attack he filmed himself unboxing the weapon and calling it 'ninja stuff'.
Monzo is also accused of the attempted murders of female police officer PC Yasim Mechem-Whitfield, 35-year-old IT engineer Henry De Los Rios Polina, Sindy Arias and Donato Iwule, who was hit by his van.
In the chilling clip Monzo, dressed in a yellow hoodie and black shorts, showed himself pulling out one of the homemade Katana swords.
As he pulled it from a long cardboard box he old the camera: 'This is ninja stuff so I'm sort of obliged to do some ninja stuff with the Wizard', gesturing to his ginger cat which was later found skinned and deboned.
He then pretended to swing the sword around while exclaiming before saying he wanted to sink his teeth in to the 'real leather' handle.
The killer added: 'It's just a kitten - that's why well, I'm rushing in but how can I not rush in- look at this.
'This is handmade in Japan - took more than a month to reach me. F**k.'
He began to dance with the sword as he made moaning noises.
The court heard that Monzo had spent almost £500 on two handmade Japanese swords before he carried out the visious attack last year.
Reading agreed facts to the jury, prosecutor Catherine Pattison said that Monzo, who worked as a 'man with a van' via an online company called Taskrabbit, made a purchase from a company in the name of Marcus Monzo via Paypal for £927 to be delivered to Satanita Close on December 28, 2023.
She added: 'The purchase was for three homemade Katana swords. The order was cancelled and refunded.
'On 21 February 2024 Marcus Monzo made a second order of £427.80 to be delivered to Satanita Close for two handmade Katana swords.
'The items were not in stock but were shipped at the beginning of April 2024 using parcel force.
'On 4 April 2024 a video showed Monzo unboxing a large curved sword.'
Last year Monzo drove into Donato Iwule in his van before attacking him with the sword.
After killing Daniel he went into the home of Sindy Arias and Henry De Los Rios Polina and attacked them next to their four-year-old.
He also attacked police officers PC Yasim Mechem-Whitfield and Inspector Moloy Campbell.
Jurors also heard Monzo had told customers his hobbies were yoga and martial arts, that he was born in Brazil but went backpacking in India and had a 'spiritual experience' which opened his eyes.
He told a woman who had hired his van that he was a fan of Elon Musk because he had allowed the truth to come out.
He said the earth is flat, 9/11 was a conspiracy and that we all live under a dome controlled by 'evil lizard type aliens', 'the pope is the most evil person on the planet' and we are 'all little ants being' controlled.
James Roach, part owner of a martial arts club called Fightzone in Hackney, said in a statement that Monzo had attended from 2014 to 2016 achieving a blue belt in Brazilian ju jitsu.
He returned in 2023 training in boxing but left suddenly.
Giving evidence the collision victim Mr Iwule said he was on the way to work walking from Hainault underground station to the Co-op where he worked in security.
He said he saw the van about 10 seconds before it hit him and he noticed the speed it was travelling at.
'I realised it was coming towards me,' he said.
'I tried to go to my left or right and see what's behind me to see if I can go to safe place. I tried to go in to someone's garden.'
Mr Iwule said the van collided with his knee, face and shoulder.
He said he was thrown onto the grass in the garden and his glasses were knocked off his face.
'I thought I was dying,' he said.
Mr Iwule said he was able to get to his feet 'when I realised my body was still functioning mentally and physically.'
He said he went towards the van to check if the driver was okay.
'He took a Samurai sword. My face and body was still in shock. There was a sheath or cover over the sword. I think he put it on the floor.'
He said Monzo was using one hand to hold the sword.
'I said 'I don't know you', he said 'I don't care, I'm going to kill you.'
'I think I fell because I lost my balance and I stood up again.
'He was swinging at me. He came towards me. I looked to see where I could get out to because I was cornered.'
He said Monzo swung the knife at him and cut his neck.
He said he missed the whole blade because he moved his head back when he saw the sword in the coroner of his eye but the tip hit his neck.
'I literally escaped the whole blade by that much - but the tip hit me.
'I was in shock straight away because I see blood coming out of my neck. The first thing I did was first aid, I pressed my palm so not to bleed out.
'I looked at his face and he was smiling - it seemed like something he was happy about.'
He said he jumped the fence and Monzo followed him before giving up as he reached the road.
He saw Daniel walking down the road and shouted at him 'go back in'.
He then saw Daniel on the floor and Monzo attacking the ambulance which was trying to help him.
Monzo, of West Beckton, east London, denies murder and four counts of attempted murder.
He also denies aggravated burglary by entering a home in Laing Close with a Katana samurai sword with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to the residents.
He also denies wounding with intent while trying to resist his lawful apprehension and having an article with a blade or point, namely a kitchen knife.
The trial continues.
