Jacksonville police release video of officer wounded in shootout leaving hospital
Walking with the aid of crutches, his leg heavily bandaged up to his calf, Jacksonville officer A.C. Gaulding left the hospital. He smiled as his fellow officers cheered him on.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released the video Monday of Gaulding leaving the UF-Health following his surgery last week. The 15-year JSO veteran, was shot in the foot March 12 following a traffic stop that turned into a shootout.
Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said they man Gaulding pulled officer was wearing a bulletproof vest and was armed with multiple guns.
Gaulding pulled him over in the area of Trout River Boulevard and Ribault Avenue. JSO said the suspect pulled into a driveway, attempted to get out of the car, and then began firing rounds at Gaulding.

Gaulding returned fire striking the man multiple times. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Leaving the hospital with the support of his team, Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer A.C. Gaulding continues to recover from getting shot during a traffic stop last Wednesday morning. Fellow officers and friends cheered him on as he left UF Health post-surgery on Thursday, a day after a man wearing body armor armed with a rifle and handgun shot him in the foot. Officer Gaulding returned fire, killing the shooter. The case remains under investigation.

Former NFL player Adam ‘Pacman' Jones arrested in Kentucky
Police in Kentucky arrested former NFL player Adam 'Pacman' Jones. Action News Jax's Ohio station, WHIO-TV, reports Jones was booked into the Kenton County Jail early Saturday morning. Jones, who is from Atlanta, faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct in the second degree and assault on a police officer in the third degree, according to the jail records. Police have not said what led to the charges. Advertisement This is at least the third arrest within the past two years for Jones, who has a history of legal issues. WHIO-TV reported Jones was arrested at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) in 2023 for alcohol intoxication, terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct. He later pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct in December 2023. Arlington, Texas police arrested Jones back in November after officers said he got into a fight near AT&T Stadium after the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match, the Athletic reported. Jones played 13 years in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos. Dunwoody prison officer accused of harassing, touching coworkers
A Dunwoody prison transport officer resigned Friday following an investigation into allegations she harassed her co-workers. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Officer Susan Oh can be seen smiling with her colleagues in photos posted on the Dunwoody Police Department's Facebook page. But now, Oh is no longer employed by the city after she resigned following an investigation into allegations that she harassed her co-workers with unwanted touching and inappropriate remarks. Channel 2's Michael Seiden filed an open records request with the city. On April 16, a city employee filed a complaint about Oh in an email. 'Officer Oh has made numerous inappropriate verbal comments about fellow officers, particularly directed towards me, which have caused me considerable discomfort. When I have confronted her about these remarks, she has attempted to dismiss them as jokes, claiming that she is only 'playing,'' the email read. Oh is also accused of making sexual jokes and trying to watch a co-worker pump breast milk in a private room. Seiden tried reaching out to Oh to hear her side of the story, but so far, hasn't been able to connect with her. Seiden reached out to the city for a comment and a spokesperson sent the following statement: 'We take all personnel matters seriously. However, due to privacy considerations, we're unable to comment further. Note that our Prisoner Transport Officers are civilian employees. They are not sworn police officers.' Jacksonville LGBTQ+ advocate ‘disgusted' by local Republican club Facebook post
LGBTQ+ advocates respond with outrage after a Facebook post from a local Republican group appeared to tie Pride Month to notorious criminals, including serial killers and sex offenders. The post, shared by the Mandarin Republican Club, included the caption: 'Happy Pride Month. So glad our Acosta Bridge was lit in their honor.' Below were images of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky, and a Georgia couple convicted of sexually assaulting their children. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< Also included in the post was a photo of Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan with Andrew Gillum, a former Florida gubernatorial candidate who was involved in a sex scandal but never faced any criminal charges. LGBTQ+ community leader James Eddy called the post offensive and hateful. 'In this day and age, people on Facebook feel like they can put anything,' Eddy said. That protest was in response to a state ban on lighting public structures in specific colors, which LGBTQ+ advocates believe targets Pride celebrations.
