Spring Craft & Gift Festival takes place at Bayfront Convention Center
Over 90 small businesses from the region have set up shop at the Bayfront Convention Center.
They're showing off their best handmade items for the Spring Craft & Gift Festival.
'Mother's Day is coming up, so you can find that great gift for mom, or if you're just ready to redecorate the house for spring, get ready for summertime, there's lots of great decor and other items here as well,' said Ed Snyder, general manager of the Bayfront Convention Center.
One thing that all these artists have in common is the dedication to their craft. Some take hours, days or even months to produce their merchandise.

Not only is it important for the customer to be satisfied, but the artists want to be just as proud of the product.
This commitment is why Snyder said it's important to support small businesses.
'These vendors and artisans are from the region, so you're supporting local businesses, especially now with Amazon and so much stuff coming from all over the place, it's cool to support local folks,' said Snyder.
There's a wide variety of unique things to shop for and you might even find something with your name on it.'
'Each candle is handcrafted carefully, and I make sure it's good quality,' said Danielle Knight, owner of Handcraft Island. 'Like, coconut and soy and fragrance is phthalid free, so it's not like something that can interrupt your hormones.'
Knight has been making extraordinarily detailed candles, wax melts and room sprays since February of 2022.
She began her business when she noticed the joy a fresh lit candle would bring to a room.
Her candles range from sugar cookie and almond cupcake to fruity loopz and lavender dreamz. She's come up with every scent and name on her own.

'I have people that keep it for a year, and they still walk past and smell it, or if you decide to light it right away, it makes the whole room smell good,' said Knight.
Knight also doubles as a stay-at-home mom. She said the aroma of her candles motivates her to clean her house.
'I know other women know this feeling when you're cleaning and you've got a candle; it's just relaxing,' said Knight. 'If you feel like you're defeated, just take a breather and get right back up; anything can be done. It takes time and dedication.'
The show continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Is Amazon Clearing Out Dyson? This Hair Dryer Has Just Dropped to a New All-Time Low
Dyson is famously known for rarely offering discounts on its products – much like Apple – which carefully preserves its brand image by avoiding price reductions. This strategy keeps their products positioned as premium and exclusive. Even during major sales events like Black Friday or Prime Day, Dyson discounts are few and far between, which makes any price drop a rare occasion. However, today Amazon is breaking the mold with an exceptional deal on the Dyson Supersonic Nural™ hair dryer: It is at an all-time low price of $399, down from its usual list price of $499 and this 20% saving is major for such a popular high-end hair styling tool. If you're looking for such a hair dryer, don't miss this opportunity. See at Amazon The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer was designed to revolutionize the hair care experience: It features Dyson's high-speed digital motor V9 which turns at speeds of up to 110,000 rpm for fast drying and protecting hair from extreme heat damage. The motor is small, light and positioned in the handle, and it adds to balance and reducing arm fatigue while handling the product. Its intelligent heat control tracks air temperature over 40 times per second so it never reaches above its optimal point to prevent damage to hair and maintain natural shine. The Supersonic Nural has one of the most impressive features among any hair dryer in this kind of sophisticated airflow technology: It uses Dyson's Air Multiplier technology for amplifying the air three-fold which gives a high-speed stream of refrained air that dries the hair efficiently and precisely, for faster styling without compromising hair health. There are magnetic styling attachments like a smoothing nozzle, styling concentrator and diffuser which can be simply swapped out to match various hairstyles and styling needs. Dyson Supersonic Nural comes with a sleek and modern design where both comfort and efficiency for users are the prime considerations: The lightweight construction and handle design for optimal comfort enable easy handling, even when styling for hours. Noise level is also surprisingly low compared to any hair dryer, thanks to acoustic engineering that reduces noise without sacrificing power. Quiet-driven individuals will find this feature crucial. If you've been hesitant to invest in a high-end hair dryer, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this all-time low price. See at Amazon

1 Magnificent S&P 500 Dividend Stock Down 24% to Buy and Hold Forever
UPS shares are down 24% over the past six months, boosting the dividend yield to record highs. The company is focusing on higher-margin business and trimming low-profit contracts, especially with leading client Amazon. UPS is taking smart steps to position itself for the next economic upswing. 10 stocks we like better than United Parcel Service › Shares of freight service veteran UPS (NYSE: UPS) are diving these days. The stock is down 24% in the last six months, building on a longer downturn that started in the inflation panic of 2022. The steep price drop brought two investor-friendly qualities to UPS. First, this world-class company is hanging out in Wall Street's bargain bin at the moment. Second, the same stock price pressure drove UPS' dividend yield to record-breaking levels. Read on to see why you should consider buying some UPS stock on the cheap in June 2025, locking in a great purchase price and a fantastic dividend payout. It's fair to say that UPS has experienced some financial trouble recently. The pandemic e-commerce boom faded out. The inflation crisis accelerated the package-shipping slowdown. More recently, trade tensions between Washington and Beijing pose new threats to the shipping industry. UPS thrives on high consumer confidence and healthy global trade trends. The company suffers when those market qualities are headed in the wrong direction, as they are in 2025. So yes, UPS is having some trouble. However, it is well equipped to handle these challenges. Even in a painful downswing, UPS remains a very profitable business. The company generated $5.9 billion of net income over the last four quarters, converting 92% of the paper profits into free cash flows. UPS spent all of the cash profits on dividend checks. That's hardly ideal, and the company doesn't have much room for dividend increases in this economy. At the same time, UPS has $5.1 billion in cash reserves and a rock-solid credit rating. The dividend looks safe from cash-preserving cuts in the foreseeable future. And UPS isn't resting on its laurels. The company plans to boost its profitability over the next year by taking on a smaller number of low-margin shipments. The long-standing partnership with Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) is the main target for this cost-cutting effort, with shipments under the contract halving by the summer of 2026. The move will let UPS close 73 shipping centers and reduce its annual operating time by 25 million hours. "Amazon is our largest customer but it's not our most profitable customer," CEO Carol Tom said in January's fourth-quarter earnings call. "Our contract with Amazon came up this year. And so we said it's time to step back for a moment and reassess our relationship. Because if we take no action, it will likely result in diminishing returns." In other words, UPS is taking action to solidify its bottom-line profits. The helpful moves it makes in this challenging economy should translate into stronger earnings in the next macroeconomic upswing. Investing is a marathon, not a sprint. UPS stock is cheap right now for short-sighted reasons. The company should thrive in the long run, equipped with a world-class shipment system and a proactive management team. By focusing on more profitable services, UPS could get back to generous dividend increases in 2026 and beyond. And in the meantime, the dividend yield stands at an eye-popping 6.7%. It's nearly an all-time record for UPS, and one of the 10 most lucrative yields found in the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) index. Furthermore, UPS shares are valued at just 14.3 times trailing earnings and 0.9 times sales. These multiples are about half of their long-term averages and nearly equal to the all-time lows seen in the subprime mortgage meltdown of 2008. Taken together, the rich dividend yield and affordable stock price add up to a great long-term investment. The UPS shares you buy in this temporary dip can help you build wealth in the long run. 3 No-Brainer Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stocks to Buy on the Dip
Amazon's cloud computing platform is seeing a huge boost from its AI business. Taiwan Semiconductor forecasts phenomenal growth over the next five years. Alphabet's stock has been beaten down despite solid results. 10 stocks we like better than Amazon › Although the market has recovered from its April lows over the past few months, a handful of dominant artificial intelligence (AI) stocks are still well off their all-time highs. The future is still bright for many of these companies, and I think now is an excellent time to scoop up some of these stocks while they're still down. Three stocks that are still down at least 10% from their all-time highs that look like strong picks right now are Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM), and Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL). I think buying shares of this trio could be a winning move for investors, and now is an excellent time to initiate a position. When investors hear Amazon, they don't automatically think about AI, but they should. Amazon has deployed AI throughout its business, but that's not the reason I consider Amazon an AI stock. Amazon gets a large chunk of its profits (63% in the first quarter) from Amazon Web Services (AWS), its cloud computing business. AWS is a massive beneficiary of the AI movement, as its servers are excellent places to run AI workloads on, especially when the client lacks the resources or workloads to justify buying their own supercomputer. That encompasses nearly all companies, except for the AI hyperscalers, and there are still a lot of AI applications to be deployed at an average business. This bodes well for Amazon, as AWS is the most critical part of its company, given how much it contributes to its profitability. Amazon saw net sales in its AWS segment in the first quarter grow 17% from a year ago, with operating income increasing even faster at a 23% pace. It's critical for Amazon to accelerate this business unit. If it can achieve that, it will have an outsized effect on Amazon's overall profit picture. The current environment is favorable for AWS, so investors shouldn't be surprised if Amazon's stock continues to rebound as long as AWS posts solid results. With Amazon stock down around 14% from its all-time high, it still looks like a great value. Few companies are as critical to modern technology as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC). Taiwan Semi is a chip foundry and fabrication facility for a wide client base. If you have a high-technology device (like a laptop or cellphone), chances are it has a chip from Taiwan Semiconductor. As a supplier to nearly everyone in the chip industry, TSMC has valuable insights into where the industry is headed. Management is incredibly bullish on its long-term prospects. It projects AI-related revenue will approach a 45% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years, with overall revenue increasing at a nearly 20% rate. That's an incredible projection, yet it isn't baked into the stock price. TSMC trades for a meager 21.1 times forward earnings, which is less than the broader market (as measured by the S&P 500, which trades at 22.4 times forward earnings). With Taiwan Semiconductor projecting market-crushing growth, yet valued at less than the market, it seems like an excellent bargain to scoop up right now. Alphabet is an even more extreme example of being cheaper than the market. Its stock trades at a low price tag of 18 times forward earnings. This is despite excellent Q1 results, where Alphabet delivered 12% revenue growth and 49% growth in diluted earnings per share (EPS). If you combine Alphabet's cheap stock price and strong growth, the stock seems like an absolute no-brainer buy. But there's more to the story. Investors are worried about three things with Alphabet's stock -- economic headwinds, the possibility of AI cutting into Google's dominance in search, and federal lawsuits that could eventually result into Alphabet spinning part of the company off. Those three items have dampened the outlook for Alphabet's stock and caused it to trade at a cheap valuation. I think the economic headwind and AI replacement theory are way overblown, and Alphabet can weather the storm through product innovation and best-in-class advertising locations. The government breakup threat is real, but spin-offs tend to unlock value for companies. So, a government breakup of Alphabet could still be a positive action for shareholders. Regardless of how things shake out, I believe Alphabet looks like a phenomenal value. Investors should buy shares on the dip as very few bullish voices remain on Alphabet's stock -- which is normally a great sign to buy. Before you buy stock in Amazon, consider this: The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team just identified what they believe are the for investors to buy now… and Amazon wasn't one of them.
