A rightful tribute to one of the best drivers in Formula 1
Celebrating six decades of Jim Clark's unchallenged 1965 Formula 1 drivers' championship victory, Lotus introduces the Emira Clark Edition — a reverence vehicle which pays homage not just to a motorsport hero but also honours Lotus's rich motorsport engineering heritage. Produced in only 60 units worldwide, this limited edition Lotus Emira was unveiled in the glitz of the Miami Grand Prix and captured the hearts of fans and collectors alike. The Lotus Emira Clark Edition is a tribute to the golden age of motorsport, created to honour Jim Clark's dominance in Formula 1, IndyCar, and Formula 2 in 1965. The car is derived from the V6-powered Emira and is painted in a racing-inspired yellow and green stripe livery recalling the Lotus Type 38 with which Clark famously dominated the Indianapolis 500.In 1965, Jim Clark presented one of the most mythical racing seasons of all time, securing his second Formula 1 World Championship title by claiming six victories in nine outings. Throughout that season, he won the Indianapolis 500 and took more titles in the Formula 2 and Tasman Series — an achievement not very many racing drivers throughout history can claim to have achieved. In honour of the event, Lotus built a car that captures the spirit of the season. The design of the Emira Clark Edition takes direct inspiration from Clark's iconic race car — the Lotus Type 38 — in its green colour palette, vivid yellow racing stripe, and yellow-finished exhaust tips. A bespoke anodised blue fuel cap adds to the retro look.Restricted to 60 units worldwide for the Emira Clark Edition and hand-finished interior details with race-bred components to acknowledge each vehicle's uniqueness. The Emira Clark Edition's red leather, Alcantara on the driver's seat and the black leather and Alcantara on the passenger seat represent the individual personality of every car. The hand-crafted wooden gear knob is one of the interior specifications, a clear reference to the original Lotus Type 38.To further enhance its collectability, every car will feature doorsills individually numbered, making it unique as part of this limited, worldwide series. With UK prices unveiled but an official US release not yet announced, Lotus postpones plans to bring the limited edition to US consumers.Though UK customers will pay around $152,651 for the Emira Clark Edition, the vehicle will not be gracing the shelves of American dealerships. The 25% US tariff levied on foreign cars imported into the US has sealed the fate of distribution to the US by making it economically unviable for Lotus, and plans to bring the model to America have been relegated to the back burner for the time being. Also read: Mercedes unveiled Brad Pitt's 'F1' film-inspired luxury coupe AMG GT 63 APXGP at Miami GP 2025 The Emira Clark Edition is more than just a celebratory car — it's a contemporary interpretation of Lotus's legendary engineering spirit, combined with the excitement and prestige of Jim Clark's iconic 1965 season. As the company navigates its future, this limited edition reminds fans of the legacy that made Lotus Motorsport's most legendary marque.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk feud turns ugly as NFL stars like Robert Griffin III and Ryan Clark become unlikely pawns
The Trump-Musk feud took an unexpected turn when former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III (Getty Images) What started as a political alliance between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has morphed into a bitter feud—but it's the NFL community that's now hijacked the narrative. After Musk publicly attacked Trump's spending bill and Trump clapped back with personal jabs, the internet exploded with takes. But when former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3) stepped into the fray, things took an unexpected turn toward the gridiron. RG3's sports analogy request backfires in real-time 'Give me the Elon Musk vs. Donald Trump beef in Sports Terms only,' Robert Griffin III posted on X (formerly Twitter), assuming the internet would drop clever NBA or MLB references. Instead, fans turned the spotlight on him. 'You vs. Ryan Clark,' one user replied—instantly reviving RG3's own ugly history with former Steelers safety and ESPN analyst Ryan Clark. What was supposed to be a fun sports take on a political feud quickly morphed into a resurfacing of NFL beefs that never fully healed. Revisiting the RG3-Ryan Clark drama: race, respect, and resentment The Clark-RG3 tension originally ignited when Griffin criticized LSU star Angel Reese for how she handled her rivalry with Caitlin Clark. Ryan Clark didn't mince words, essentially accusing Griffin of lacking empathy for Black women because of his own life choices—particularly his interracial marriages. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo 'You can't understand the lived experience,' Clark said, igniting a firestorm. RG3 fired back hard, saying Clark crossed a personal line by dragging his wife into it. Clark then doubled down, calling RG3 'phony' and one of the worst teammates he'd ever had, both in the locker room and on TV. Though Clark later apologized for referencing Griffin's wife, the two have yet to publicly bury the hatchet. Fans weren't done. Others compared the Trump-Musk meltdown to Tyreek Hill praising Tua Tagovailoa over Patrick Mahomes, a dig that drew sharp reactions in NFL circles. Some said the closest match was the Kobe vs. Shaq feud—two larger-than-life forces who accomplished greatness, only to implode under the weight of ego and ambition. Oscar Piastri stands among GOATs Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton with 8 consecutive podiums for McLaren
Image credit: Oscar Piastri/Instagram Oscar Piastri is currently far ahead of the competition in the 2025 Formula 1 Driver Standings with five wins in nine races. The 24-year-old McLaren driver has now joined the greats like Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton in holding eight consecutive podiums at McLaren. Except for the season opener in his home country, Australia, Piastri has won a podium in all the remaining eight Grands Prix so far. Oscar Piastri wins 8 consecutive podiums for McLaren Oscar Piastri has joined the likes of the late F1 star Ayrton Senna and the current Ferrari F1 driver Lewis Hamilton by bagging eight consecutive podiums as a McLaren driver. The official X handle of Formula 1 highlighted the fact recently. Senna attained the feat in 1988 when he won the Drivers' Championship at McLaren. Senna and his McLaren teammate Alain Prost had won fifteen of the sixteen races that year, leaving out only the Italian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton recorded nine consecutive podium finishes in his debut season in 2007 with McLaren, but he didn't win the Drivers' Championship that year. It was Ferrari driver Kimi Räikkönen who won the championship and, interestingly, he was the last one to do so for Ferrari. Currently, Hamilton is driving for Ferrari and is yet to win his debut race as part of the team. When Piastri's achievements were highlighted on X, the Formula 1 fans only had praise for the young McLaren driver, who is only in his third season. A fan reacted to the tweet about Piastri, 'Future World Champion for sure.' Another wrote, 'Among the GOATs.' One more said, 'Piastri's on fire, consistency turning into greatness.' A comment also read: 'Living legend OSCAR.' A Formula 1 fan also highlighted the actual facts behind the record. The tweet read: 'How many wins among those 8 podiums? Senna - 6, Piastri - 5, Hamilton - 2.' Also Read: Spanish Grand Prix 2025 results: Oscar Piastri wins his fifth race, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc join him on the podium Piastri is currently leading the F1 Driver Standings with 186 points. In second spot is Piastri's McLaren teammate Lando Norris with 176 points. In third spot is Red Bull driver Max Verstappen with 137 points. He is just one penalty away from a race ban.

MG unveils electric roadster with scissor doors
KOLKATA: JSW MG Motor unveiled the all-electric roadster that returns to the British motoring heritage and sporting roots through the lens of new-age luxury and high performance. Company officials said the car is a modern interpretation of traditional roadster proportions: a long, sculpted bonnet, rearward cabin, and pronounced rear haunches that suggest latent power and evoke a sense of classic rear-wheel-drive performance. The electric scissor doors accentuate the car's futuristic identity. The Cyberster's form was shaped from hand-drawn sketches to VR-based modeling and physical clay sculpting. The front fascia, with its open-lamp expression and split grille-inspired intake, connects to MG's heritage while embracing sleek aerodynamics. The low nose guides airflow smoothly, while the Kammback tail and rear light bar ensure both visual drama and aerodynamic efficiency. Inside, the triple-screen wraparound cockpit and Y-shaped sports seats create a space that's immersive, ergonomic, and emotionally resonant, a true driver-centric sanctuary. "Every design decision was intentional, culminating in a roadster that captures nostalgia, innovation, and the thrill of pure electric motoring. With its soft-top convertible roof and Kammback tail, the design pays homage to the classic MG B, while embracing a future-forward, tech-driven aesthetic tailored to the evolved customer," an official said. Performance-wise, the Cyberster's dual-motor powertrain produces 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The car is tuned by Formula 1 engineer Marco Fainello.
