She dazzled in a lemon yellow frock which featured a thigh high cut and ruffled detail.
It has been suggested the Please Please Please singer is setting back the movement for women's rights.
But addressing the backlash, she pointed out that her sex-centric songs are the ones that her fans are obsessed with.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said: "It's always so funny to me when people complain. They're like, 'All she does is sing about this.'
"But those are the songs that you've made popular.
"Clearly you love sex.
"You're obsessed with it."
Sabrina admitted she feels like women are picked apart more than ever in the music industry.
She shared: "I don't want to be pessimistic, but I truly feel like I've never lived in a time where women have been picked apart more, and scrutinized in every capacity.
"I'm not just talking about me.
"I'm talking about every female artist that is making art right now.'
She added to the publication: "We're in such a weird time where you would think it's girl power, and women supporting women, but in reality, the second you see a picture of someone wearing a dress on a carpet, you have to say everything mean about it in the first 30 seconds that you see it."
In March, Sabrina left BRIT viewers
The singer paid tribute to the nation with Union Jack visuals and dancers dressed as The King's Guard.
She delivered performances of her hits Espresso and Bed Chem, wowing the audience on a heart shaped bed - but also sparking backlash from some viewers watching at 8:20pm.
Performing in revealing lace lingerie, including suspenders and thigh harnesses, Sabrina embraced the innuendo-filled nature of her music.
However, not everyone was impressed, with some expressing their disapproval on social media, claiming the performance was too risqué for a primetime audience.

Sabrina Carpenter hits back at criticism of new cover art
Sabrina Carpenter has responded to criticism claiming the cover art of Man's Best Friend would be 'reducing women to pets'. Carpenter announced the release of her seventh studio record on June 11 via Instagram: 'My new album, 'Mans Best Friend' is out on August 29, 2025.' The cover shows the singer on her knees, dressed in black, with her hair being pulled by an unidentified man. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sabrina Carpenter (@sabrinacarpenter) Glasgow Womens Aid, a charity that supports women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse, criticised her choice of imagery on the record cover. In a Facebook post (June 12), the organisation said the following: 'Sabrina Carpenters new album cover isnt edgy, its regressive. Picturing herself on all fours, with a man pulling her hair and calling it Mans Best Friend isnt subversion. Its a throwback to tired tropes that reduce women to pets, props, and possessions and promote an element of violence and control.' In a recent interview with Rolling Stone , Carpenter shared her thoughts on the backlash Man's Best Friend received, saying the criticism is unjustified. 'I don't want to be pessimistic, but I truly feel like Ive never lived in a time where women have been picked apart more, and scrutinised in every capacity. Im not just talking about me. Im talking about every female artist that is making art right now,' said Carpenter. 'I'm living in the glory of no one hearing it or knowing about it, and so I can not care,' she added. 'I can not give a fuck about it, because I'm just so excited.' The singer released the lead single of her new record, 'Manchild' on June 5, with Man's Best Friend coming out August 29.

"We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy.' They then publicly announced their break-up the following year. More on Isla Fisher They appear to have amicably resolved any differences there might have been between them. This is despite previous suggestions the couple's divorce may have been turning acrimonious as they carved up their estimated eight-figure fortune. A source said: 'It's all sorted. Now Sacha and Isla both just want to get on with the rest of their lives – and focus on their family's well-being.' Baron Cohen, 53, and Fisher, 49, - who have three children together - first met at a party in Sydney , Australia in 2001. Most read in Celebrity Speaking of their first encounter, Baron Cohen recalled that Fisher was "hilarious". He remembered: "We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don't know if she did." The pair announced the separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites, noting: "After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down." "We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy." Baron Cohen also became embroiled in some controversy last year when Australian actress film The Brothers Grimsby, where they played a slovenly married couple. All The signs Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher had secretly split from girls' nights out to hiding ring finger However, the publisher had not fact-checked the claims in advance – and they lacked substance. Baron Cohen's legal team then supplied video footage of one scene in question, plus email exchanges, script excerpts and testimony from producers and crew members, which illustrated that the scenes were actually all part of the script . As a result, the unfounded claims were removed wholesale from the autobiography in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. In a statement at the time, Baron Cohen said: 'While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.' Baron Cohen first rose to fame in the 1990s with his Ali G character, the infamous spoof wannabe gangster who became a comedy star. He also starred as Borat, a journalist from Kazakhstan, and played the role of flamboyant Austrian fashionista Bruno . 6 Isla shares three children with Sacha Credit: islafisher/Instagram 6 The pair first met in 2021 Credit: Getty Fellow actor Fisher appeared as Shannon Reed in long-running Australian soap Home and Away before moving to the big screen. Her breakthrough role came in Wedding Crashers in 2005, and she also starred in Confessions of a Shopaholic. She has also had a series of children's books published. Speaking earlier this year of their break-up, Fisher said: 'It's the most difficult thing that I've been through and I've learnt so much about myself in the process. I never imagined my family being separated but we are committed and loving parents.' Suggestions last year that the timing of the separation may have been linked to Wilson's unfounded claims also proved wrong – in fact Baron Cohen and Fisher had separated long before Wilson's book was published. A film source said: 'The idea that Rebel's claims had anything to do with the timing of the separation or announcement of Sacha and Isla's break-up was always plain wrong.' 6 The pair denied Rebel's claims had anything to do with the split Credit: Getty All the signs Isla and Sacha had secretly split The couple have revealed they actually split last year, despite only just revealing their divorce. Here we look at the Social media silence - Sacha has been absent from Instagram since last Christmas. Spending time with friends - Isla has been been following that classic post break-up move of spending more time with her girlfriends. Hidden ring finger - No fans noticed at the time, but in many Instagram shots from this year, Isla has hidden her right hand so her wedding finger was not visible in many shots. Missing man - The last image Isla shared of her and Sacha prior to the divorce announcement was back in November last year.

Sabrina Carpenter says female artists are under more scrutiny than ever
Sabrina Carpenter has addressed criticism that her music and image are overly sexualised, insisting there's far more substance to her artistry than critics give her credit for. The 26-year-old Grammy-winner recently divided opinion among her fans after unveiling the artwork for her next album, Man's Best Friend. The provocative imagery sparked debates on sexuality, power, and representation in pop culture. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Carpenter argued that lyrics about sex make up only a small part of her artistic output and says the scrutiny placed on her is unfair. "I don't want to be pessimistic, but I truly feel like I've never lived in a time where women have been picked apart more, and scrutinised in every capacity. I'm not just talking about me. I'm talking about every female artist that is making art right now." During Carpenter's Short and Sweet tour, she famously strikes an array of X-rated poses as part of her Juno song routine. The Espresso hitmaker highlights that the same audience criticising her is also fueling the popularity of her sexually explicit content. "It's always so funny to me when people complain. They're like, "All she does is sing about this." But those are the songs that you've made popular. Clearly you love sex. You're obsessed with it." "It's in my show. There's so many more moments than the 'Juno' positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on. I can't control that. If you come to the show, you'll [also] hear the ballads, you'll hear the more introspective numbers," she added. "I find irony and humour in all of that, because it seems to be a recurring theme. I'm not upset about it, other than I feel mad pressure to be funny sometimes."
