Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 ended on a huge cliffhanger and while Taylor Frankie Paul couldn't reveal exactly what happens, she's offering a glimpse into what viewers can expect to see in the upcoming episodes.
"There's some unexpected storylines that popped up," Paul told Newsweek of the 10 remaining episodes.
The Context
In the last episode of Season 2 that has been released, Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette tells Mormon Wives cast member Layla Taylor, that he had an affair with cast member Jessi Ngatikaura. He claimed in the episode that it wasn't just a one time thing, leaving Taylor shocked.
Earlier in the season there were rumors that something transpired between Brunette and cast member Demi Engemenn when some of the Mormon Wives cast visited Vanderpump Villa. Engemenn denied anything happened between herself and Brunette, calling it a shame that a man and a woman can't have a friendly interaction and Ngatiukaura has denied that Brunette's account of what happened is accurate.
What to Know
In the fall, Hulu greenlit 20 more episodes of the show and has only released 10 more as part of Season 2. The last episode ended on a "to be continued" message, leaving viewers wondering if there would be a second part to Season 2 or if viewers would have to wait for Season 3.
Unlike after Season 1, the Mormon Wives cast didn't get a break between filming what viewers saw in Season 2 and what they'll see on the upcoming episodes. Paul said it's difficult to do back-to-back filming, partially because it blurs together and they don't want to reveal spoilers about what viewers haven't seen and partially because it is a lot of time away from their kids.
"A lot of us were feeling a lot of shame, I think," Paul told Newsweek, referencing the mom guilt the cast feels. "However, there's this different mindset where I'm like, okay, we have to think about this as a crunch back to back but then we're gonna have the majority of the summer with our kids."

Taylor Frankie Paul of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' visits SiriusXM Studios on September 11, 2024 in New York City.Since filming was continuous, Paul said viewers will get to see the aftermath of the drama between Brunette and Ngatikaura, and of course, more conflict between the women on the show. But, she added that there's also conflict between different people.
"It's actually crazy. It's mind blowing to me because I know there's a lot of people that think this is all produced or scripted, but it's not. It's all real, unfortunately," Paul said.
While Paul thought that she'd get a break from the drama, that turned out not to be the case last season and she said it isn't the case for the next batch of episodes that will be released.
What They're Saying
Ngatikaura on "The Viall Files" podcast: "Relationships are hard and they're nuanced. There's so much more that I'm excited to share because I think people will be able to relate to my story. I think it may help people."
Miranda McWhorter told People: "You'll get answers and maybe a little bit of closure, regarding [the end]."
What Happens Next
With filming expected to wrap before summer, it's possible viewers could get new episodes before the end of the year. But, the exact timeline of when episodes will be released – and whether it'll be Season 2, Part 2 or Season 3 – has not been confirmed by Hulu.

Diddy Prosecutors Raise Concerns After Witness Identity is Leaked

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Prosecutors in the Sean "Diddy" Combs trial raised concerns to the judge on Tuesday after an online streamer and outlet leaked the identity of a key witness in the case. Combs' former personal assistant, who utilized the pseudonym "Mia," finished her testimony on Monday. Judge Arun Subramanian barred a YouTube streamer who shared Mia's identity from returning to court. Prosecutor Maurene Comey said another outlet posted Mia's real name on X. Prosecutors want the post removed and the source barred from court. Subramanian asked the prosecution to draft a possible court order for consideration. Why It Matters Mia worked for Combs from 2009 to 2017. Throughout her multiple days on the stand, she detailed multiple alleged incidents of physical and sexual assault by Combs. Combs is facing federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Elizabeth Williams via AP The identification of Mia comes as another witness is expected to testify under a pseudonym. "Jane," also identified as Victim-2, is expected to take the stand this week. What To Know Shortly after prosecutors spoke about Mia's identity being leaked, a woman was removed from the courtroom for causing a disturbance. "Everyone is laughing at Diddy," the woman said. "It's not right what they're doing to him!" Subramanian asked for her to be escorted out "right now." Eddy Garcia, who worked as the security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016, testified on Tuesday. Combs was seen on the hotel's surveillance footage physically attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Footage of the 2016 incident was released by CNN last year. Combs said he wanted the video taken off a server and a copy of the video because it could "ruin his career" if the footage was made public, Garcia testified. Garcia said he then spoke to his supervisor, who agreed to do it for $50,000. Garcia said he signed an NDA, which would charge him $1 million if the agreement was broken. Combs then returned with a brown paper bag containing $100,000, Garcia testified. Garcia said he kept $30,000, gave $50,000 to his supervisor and $20,000 to another security officer. Derek Ferguson, a former CFO for Combs-founded company Bad Boy Entertainment, also testified on Tuesday. He said he never saw anyone help Combs commit crimes or acts of violence. What People Are Saying Garcia, referring to communications with Combs during his testimony: "On Easter, he said, 'Happy Easter my angel, God is good,' and then proceeded to ask if anyone had asked about the incident or the video. I said I hadn't heard anything and he said, 'OK.'" Ferguson, referring to Combs in his testimony: "He just worked constantly. His passion for what he did was really high so his work ethic and the number of hours that he put in was something that really pushed the entire team." What Happens Next Combs' trial is currently in its fourth week. Proceedings are expected to last eight to 10 weeks. Combs is facing life in prison if convicted. The Real-Life Tech Bros that Inspired HBO Max's 'Mountainhead'

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors The newest project from "Succession" creator Jesse Armstrong, "Mountainhead" follows the story of four tech billionaires as they are isolated on a weekend retreat in the mountains while multiple disasters due to AI deep fakes take place around the world, with each mogul considering how to use the chaos to their advantage. The film stars Steve Carell as Randall Garrett, Jason Schwartzman as Hugo "Souper" Van Yalk, Cory Michael Smith as Venis "Ven" Parish, and Ramy Yousseff as Jeffrey "Jeff" Abredazi. More Entertainment: How To Watch the New Jesse Armstrong Film 'Mountainhead' After premiering on HBO Max on May 31, multiple questions have been brought up regarding whether the film is based on real events and who each billionaire is specifically based on. So let's take a look at everyone and everything in 'Mountainhead.' Cory Michael Smith, Steve Carell, Ramy Youssef, and Jason Schwartzman in HBO's 'Mountainhead.' Cory Michael Smith, Steve Carell, Ramy Youssef, and Jason Schwartzman in HBO's 'Mountainhead.' Fred Hayes/HBO Is 'Mountainhead' Based on a True Story? While the events in "Mountainhead" seem unfortunately plausible in a modern world, nothing that happens is actually based on real events; instead, it operates as a look at the rising fears surrounding artificial intelligence. More Entertainment: Stephen King 'Carrie' Remake Officially Reveals Main Cast Particularly, Armstrong notes that "Mountainhead" looks at possible events AI leaders have warned about. "If somebody who knows the technology better than anyone in the world thinks there's a 1/5th chance that it's going to wipe out humanity—and they're some of the optimists—I think that's legitimately quite unnerving," Armstrong said, per Andrew R. Chow of Time. Who is 'Mountainhead' Based On? While the plot of "Mountainhead" is not based on a true story, its characters do take inspiration from real people. Specifically, Armstrong refers to the four leads as "Frankenstein monsters with limbs sewn together," breaking them down into four archetypes: The Father, The Dynamo, The Usurper, and The Hanger On. Carell's Randall Garrett is The Father, the eldest member of the group and an investor in the others' projects. He is based on Marc Andreessen and Peter Thiel, the latter of whom founded PayPal and was an early investor in Facebook. More Entertainment: Cory Michael Smith Embraces Chaos in Jesse Armstrong's 'Mountainhead' Speaking of Facebook, Smith's Venis "Ven" Parish is based on the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Known as The Dynamo, he is the richest of the group, founder of the social media company Traam, and created the AI programs that led to the aforementioned disasters While Youseff's Jeffrey "Jeff" Abredazi and Schwartzman's Hugo "Souper" Van Yalk don't necessarily have direct real world interpretations, their archetypes can easily be seen in the world of tech. Abredazi is The Usurper, looking to constantly improve his status and rise in the ranks of the tech industry no matter what. Van Yalk is The Hanger On, the poorest of the group and operating as an outsider, he is constantly trying to win the approval of the other three. Where was 'Mountainhead' Filmed? The entirety of "Mountainhead" takes place at Hugo's mansion in the mountains, and it turns out that this is a real spot. Located in Park City, Utah, the mansion is actually a ski home in Deer Valley Resort designed by Upwall Design Architects.
