Michigan State University collects 1.1 million pounds of trash during move-out week
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan State University and picked up 1.1 million pounds of trash, recycling, surplus, and compost across the campus during student move-out week.
The MSU Surplus Store shared these statistics on its page. During spring move-out, over 100,000 pounds of reusable goods were also collected.
These goods were then brought to the MSU Recycling Center to be processed.
Items not disposed of were taken to the Surplus Store and are available for purchase.
The MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center are located at 468 Green Way, East Lansing.
