East Meets West Bridal Fair Returns to The Pavilion with Dream Wedding Giveaway
Durban's most anticipated wedding event, the East Meets West Bridal Fair, returns to the Pavilion Shopping Centre from Friday, 30 May to Sunday, 1 June, offering inspiration and expert guidance to couples preparing for their big day.
Spanning the entire centre, the fair will feature over 50 curated exhibitors showcasing everything from bridal gowns and décor to florists, make-up artists, photographers, and honeymoon packages. Acknowledging Durban's rich cultural diversity, the event caters to a wide range of faiths, traditions, styles, and budgets.
A major highlight is the grand wedding competition open exclusively to engaged couples, with a prize valued at over R170,000. The bespoke wedding package includes a white gold diamond ring from Premjee's Jewellers, a honeymoon trip to Mauritius from One Stop Tours, venue hire and stay from The Oyster Box, photography from Kevin Hsu, a MAC gift hamper, and gown hire from Bridal House Ballito.
To enter, couples can fill out the online form at www.thepav.co.za or scan QR codes at exhibitor stands. The winner will be announced on Sunday, 1 June at 2:30pm, following the fashion show. Entrants must be present to win.
Fashion shows, produced by Roberta Alessandri Events, take place Saturday and Sunday at 1pm in the Fountain Court, preceded by live performances from Moscow-trained violinist Marianna Eriksen, setting the perfect romantic tone.

All you need to do is rock up where we are, and there's an opportunity for you to get exposed to this type of culture, play, socialise, engage, and maybe walk away with a 50,000 Rand gaming PC. The pop-up offers everything from football simulations to VR rhythm battles. A new player can play the same game as an experienced player, with all ages playing alongside each other. 'This events idea was always, how can we bridge the that sort of divide between the casual person you know, generally interested in gaming, who maybe wants to compete and win something, and then the serious players, who are genuinely very good players and deserve the opportunity to be showcased in front of, you know, audiences and hopefully the media' said African Cyber Gaming League founder Clinton O'Shea. This year, the initiative sees the return of the EAFC 25™ National Football Tournament and the debut of the MTN Beat Saber Challenge, allowing gamers to chase two national titles. The top contenders will face off in the National Finals at Canal Walk from 17 to 21 September, with R50,000 on the line in the EAFC 25™ Football Final and more prizes up for grabs in the Beat Saber showdown. The show features a Win a Wedding competition where one lucky engaged couple will receive a bespoke Durban wedding valued at more than R170 000. The draw is tomorrow, Sunday at 2.30pm and they need to be present at the draw. There are wedding fashion shows, produced by Roberta Alessandri Models, at the main Fountain today and tomorrow at 1pm with violinist, Marianna Eriksen performing. The fair is being held throughout the centre and boasts wedding themed events, activations, exhibitions and displays designed to help couples and their families plan for their big day.
