Establishment of New Battalion of Women After Failure to Recruit Haredim
Occupied Quds - Saba:
Israeli media revealed on Thursday that the Israeli army has started forming a new battalion primarily consisting of women.
The Israeli army radio stated: "The creation of a new combat battalion made up mainly of female fighters is due to the failure to recruit Haredim," according to their statement.
The Israeli army has been facing a severe shortage of personnel recently due to the refusal of many reservists to join military service.
On Tuesday, the Israeli Ministry of War revealed shocking statistics on the injuries of Israeli soldiers since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip.

27 Palestinians Martyred in 'Aid Massacre' in Southern Gaza Strip
Gaza – SABA: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that 27 Palestinians were martyred early Tuesday due to gunfire near an aid distribution center west of Rafah city in southern Gaza Strip, in an incident that sparked widespread international condemnation and calls for an independent investigation. Earlier in the day, Palestinian sources reported that 27 people were killed and more than 90 others injured as a result of Israeli occupation forces shelling and opening fire on thousands heading to the aid center west of Rafah. In a statement, the ICRC said its field hospital in Rafah received 184 wounded individuals, 19 of whom were declared dead upon arrival, while 8 others later succumbed to their injuries. The committee noted that 'most of the injuries were gunshot wounds.' It described the incident as 'the deadliest in terms of casualties since the hospital was established over a year ago,' stressing that the number of victims far exceeded the hospital's 60-bed capacity. Meanwhile, Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defense, said the massacre targeted citizens waiting for American aid near the Al-Alam roundabout in the Al-Mawasi area west of Rafah, adding that more than 90 people were injured in the attack. On the international front, UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the incident, calling it 'unacceptable.' His spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, said: 'Civilians should not lose their lives simply because they are trying to get food,' reiterating the Secretary-General's call for an immediate and independent investigation and for those responsible to be held accountable. This deadly incident comes amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions in Gaza, where the population faces severe shortages of food, water, and medicine after nearly twenty months of an ongoing genocide, and where humanitarian aid delivery remains an immense challenge. It noted that the Nasser Medical Complex is the only hospital in the southern Gaza Strip that provides specialized services that are threatened with disruption. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Palestinian body warns of severe famine crisis in Gaza Strip
Gaza - Saba: Amjad Al-Shawa, Director of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO), stated that famine is worsening at an extremely dangerous rate in the Gaza Strip, warning of its catastrophic effects on the lives of children, women, and the elderly. In a press statement on Tuesday, Al-Shawa added that the Israeli enemy is systematically targeting schools, particularly those affiliated with UNRWA, which have served as shelters for displaced Palestinians amid repeated forced evacuation orders imposed by the enemy's military. He pointed out that 90% of UNRWA schools have been targeted, along with government schools, resulting in the deaths and injuries of thousands of Palestinians. Entire families have been killed in areas where civilians sought refuge, with the Israeli enemy attacking nearly 300 schools in Gaza since the start of the aggression. Al-Shawa emphasized that the Israeli enemy continues to escalate its killing operations against the Palestinian people, whether through bombardment or the humanitarian catastrophe it has imposed on the residents of Gaza.
