ISIS member accused of ‘inciting' New Orleans terror attack arrested in Iraq
A man associated with the terrorist organization ISIS has been arrested in connection with the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans that killed 14 people.
The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq said they have arrested 'a person involved in inciting the car-ramming incident.' That person, who has not been named, will stand trial under the nation's counter-terrorism law.

Investigators say in the early morning hours of New Year's Day, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, drove a rented truck down crowded Bourbon Street, killing 14 people and injuring 30 others.
Jabbar himself was killed after opening fire on police officers, injuring two of them. Officers returned fire, shooting and killing him.
After finding an ISIS flag in Jabbar's truck, the FBI says they are investigating this attack as an act of terrorism.

Channel 2 Action News learned that Jabbar attended Georgia State University. The school confirmed that he attended from 2015 to 2017 and graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
The University of Georgia football team and thousands of fans were in New Orleans at the time of the attack for the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame.
The game, which was supposed to be played on Jan. 1, was postponed for a day after the attack.

Feds release footage of largest fentanyl bust in state history
The suspect in the largest fentanyl operation bust in Georgia history showed no emotion Wednesday as he entered the courtroom with shackles. Doorbell cameras captured tense moments as local and federal law enforcement agents descended on the home of suspected drug trafficker Bartholomew Harralson. Investigators say Harralson, a convicted felon with a violent criminal history, was running a massive drug trafficking operation. Authorities say they seized more than $9 million in drugs, guns and cash from three different properties belonging to the suspect. On Wednesday, authorities said they also arrested Omari Thwaites, a convicted felon who was found with guns and drugs at Harralson's Hall County property. At Harralson's South Fulton home, some of his neighbors described him as quiet and friendly. But investigators say he made his poison at a third home. The DEA says he was in possession of enough fentanyl to kill every resident in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. His neighbors say they're stunned but thankful he's now behind bars. Man indicted on charges from pipe bomb explosions
Jun. 11—A federal grand jury indicted a Hamilton County man Wednesday on federal crimes related to explosive devices. Robert Gilb, 50, of Green Twp., allegedly detonated three improvised explosive devices, or pipe bombs, in Hamilton and Butler counties in March and April. He was arrested Tuesday by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. He possessed an unregistered destructive device and transporting explosive materials, the press release says. "This alleged activity posed a serious risk to public safety. The FBI worked closely with our law enforcement partners to neutralize this potential danger and protect the community." Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Miami Twp. for a report of a loud explosion. What appeared to be a blast crater and components of an improvised explosive device were found, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office. The FBI investigation revealed there were two previous incidents in Morgan Twp. in Butler County that appeared to have had similar characteristics to the incident in Miami Twp. Butler County Sheriff's deputies responded to incidents March 23 and March 28. The FBI said witnesses saw Gilb in a white BMW near the site of at least one of the locations of the explosion. Gilb is charged with three counts of possessing an unregistered destructive device and three counts of transporting explosive materials. Each charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
