Woman charged after allegedly hiding Mifflin police shooting suspect at her home
OBETZ, Ohio (WCMH) – A woman is facing charges after she allegedly hid the man wanted for shooting two police officers earlier this week.
Court records show Jayla Call, 31, was arrested Saturday and charged with felony obstructing justice and tampering with evidence. She is being held in Franklin County Jail.

Daveonte Dixon, 21, was on the run for about two days after allegedly shooting two Mifflin Township police officers Wednesday evening. The U.S. Marshals Service and the Franklin County SWAT officers arrested Dixon Friday at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Thelma Drive in Obetz.
Following Dixon's arrest, according to court records, Call approached law enforcement and was taken into custody; during an interview, Call allegedly admitted to knowing Dixon was a fugitive while he was inside her apartment and she allegedly deleted text messages on her phone that were between Dixon and his girlfriend.
Dixon was taken to a local hospital for treatment from a self-inflicted gunshot wound; his condition is not known.
Man charged with attempted murder for shooting of Marysville police officer
Dixon is charged with attempted murder and felonious assault. Online court records do not list his next court date.
Call is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Common Pleas Court on Monday.

Braves rookie catcher Drake Baldwin hit his sixth home run and threw two runners out in the seventh inning, catching Carroll stealing and picking Marte off first. Baldwin was named the NL's rookie of the month in May. The Braves have lost nine of their last 12. Los Angeles unveils compact, athlete-friendly venue plan for 2028 Paralympics
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Every venue for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles will be within a 35-mile radius, and athletes will be housed together, on the UCLA campus, for the first time since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. LA28 announced an updated venue plan Tuesday following approval from the International Paralympic Committee's governing board. The Paralympics will run Aug. 15-27, 2028, about two weeks after the the Los Angeles Olympics end. The majority of sports will be held in Los Angeles, with the downtown and Exposition Park sites serving as the main competition hubs. The Los Angeles Convention Center will host boccia, para judo, para table tennis, para taekwondo and wheelchair fencing. Adjacent to the Convention Center, Arena will host wheelchair basketball. Across the street, Peacock Theater will host goalball in an acoustically optimized setting. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will host para track and field, as well as the closing ceremony. The nearby Galen Center will host wheelchair rugby and para badminton. Venice Beach on the city's westside will be the site of para triathlon and the starting point of the marathon. The Dignity Health Sports Park complex in Carson will host para archery, wheelchair tennis and para track cycling in the velodrome. Climbing will make its Paralympic debut in 2028, with four men's and four women's events in the parking lot of the Long Beach Convention Center. Para swimming will be on the same site in a temporary pool. Sport shooting will be inside the convention center at a temporary range. Long Beach Arena will host sitting volleyball. Clark was out with a left quad strain, while veteran guard Sophie Cunningham exited early in Friday's loss to Connecticut and did not play against the Mystics. The Fever scored 31 points in the third quarter — after scoring 38 in the entire first half — to take a 69-55 lead.
