Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured 'full support to India's all actions' following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
Strongly condemning the attack, the Qatari leader conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and expressed solidarity with the people of India in their fight against terrorism.

'In a telephonic conversation with PM@narendramodi today, the Amir of the State of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani @TamimBinHamad conveyed condolences and solidarity with the people of India at the loss of lives in the cross border terror attack in Pahalgam, India. He expressed full support in India's fight against terrorism and all its actions to bring the perpetrators to justice,' Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
The statement said that PM Modi thanked Sheikh Tamim for his clear message of support and solidarity.
'Both leaders reiterated their commitment to deepen India-Qatar Strategic Partnership and to implement the decisions taken during the State Visit of the Amir earlier this year,' the statement added.
According to News 18, this marks a notable shift from Qatar's earlier balanced stance on the issue.
The call from the Emir is seen as especially important at a time when some Muslim-majority countries are aligning themselves with Pakistan.
While the Emir also spoke with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, it was Dar who initiated the call and provided a briefing, in contrast to India, which received a direct call from the Emir himself — highlighting the strength of the newly established India-Qatar strategic partnership, reported News 18.

The Emir's message of support for India comes shortly after both nations elevated their bilateral ties to a strategic level during the Qatari leader's state visit earlier this year.

11 years of Modi govt: Infra revolution boosting 'ease of living', says PM
The Union government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled state governments on Wednesday continued to highlight the achievements of the 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) dispensation, with the Prime Minister posting on social media details of the 'infrastructure revolution' during this period. "It's been 11 years of infrastructure revolution with outstanding infrastructure being added that has enhanced India's growth trajectory," Modi said on X. From railways to highways, ports to airports, India's rapidly expanding infrastructure network is boosting 'Ease of Living' and enhancing prosperity, he said. In another post, Modi said: 'India's push for next-gen infrastructure is powered by sustainability and long-term vision.' It is laying the foundations of a self-reliant India, he said. In a document prepared by the newly launched Press Information Bureau (PIB) Research, the government also pointed to the efficacy of the Pragati (pro-active governance and timely implementation) platform, which was put in place 10 years ago, in fast-tracking of infrastructure projects. It said the most recent meeting of Pragati, which the PM chairs, took place on May 29. This was its 47th meeting since its inception in March 2015.
