But he's determined to keep the best of the club's young talent in the ranks - and that includes 16-year-old attacker Max Cameron.
According to a report in the Daily Record, Cameron has come to the attention of Premier League outfit Bournemouth and Championship duo Southampton and Ipswich - but the Gers are hopeful that he will agree a first professional contract with the Gers.
And the Ibrox side are also keen to secure the future of Scotland Under-19 call-ups Calum Adamson and Jack Wylie.
Midfielder Adamson, who has previously featured for the B team, is out of contract this summer.
Brentford and Crystal Palace had shown interest in the youngster but the Ibrox men are keen to keep him at the club.
Centre-back Wyllie - who also won a call-up to a recent Scotland Under-19s gathering in Dundee - is also poised to pen a new contract.
Menawhile Greek side Aris have been handed an extension by Rangers to try and reach an agreement to sign Ecuadorian flop Jose Cifuentes permanently.
The 26-year-old made 29 league appearances for Aris during the season and became one of their key players as he helped them qualify for Europe.
The Thessaloniki club originally had until the end of May to turn the loan move into a permanent one, with a £3 million fee as part of the original loan deal.
However, they have indicated to Rangers they want to renegotiate a deal to get the Ibrox side to lower their demands for Cifuentes to £2 million.

And reports in Greece have stated Rangers have now given Aris until June 15 to reach an agreement exclusively with them, or the deal is off.
They are also considering trying to persuade Rangers to extend his loan deal for another season if they cannot conclude a permanent transfer.

Newcastle's first summer signing breaks silence on move - 'It's a pleasure'
Exciting teenage star Antonio Cordero has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with Newcastle United and is set to officially move to Tyneside on July 1 when his contract with Spanish side Malaga expires Newcastle United have sealed a deal to sign highly-rated Spanish youngster Antonio Cordero. The teenage starlet will move to Tyneside on a free transfer when his current deal with Malaga expires on July 1. Despite being just 18, Cordero has already notched up 60 appearances for the Andalusian outfit, contributing significantly to their survival in the Spanish Segunda Division this season following their promotion the previous year. Highly-promising Cordero chipped in with six goals and seven assists in the league The youngster's arrival is subject to completion of the Premier League's registration process and the player obtaining a UK visa. But he couldn't hide his excitement when speaking out on Thursday about the move. "It's truly an honour to be here, truly a pleasure," he remarked. "I am a person who likes to aspire high. Why not come to one of the best places in the world to do it? "It's a big step, and that's one of the reasons I'm here. I'm happy to do it and have a great desire to get going already." Cordero's exploits for both club and country - after excelling for Spain's youth sides - had put clubs across Europe on red alert. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been credited as holding an interest Ultimately, it was the Magpies under the guidance of outgoing sporting director Paul Mitchell who offered him the most compelling route forward, convincing Cordero to ply his trade in the Premier League. "Antonio is an exciting talent. We're delighted to bring him to Newcastle United amidst interest in Spain and across Europe," remarked Mitchell. "He has lots of potential, and the next phase of his development will be for the club to select a loan move that will challenge him and build on his experiences." Dutch side Ajax are being tipped as favourites to take Cordero on a season-long loan for 2025-26.

Rangers appoint new boss Russell Martin on three-year contract
The 39-year-old former MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton boss has signed a three-year contract. He will be joined at Ibrox by assistant head coach Matt Gill and performance coach Rhys Owen. ✍️ Our new Head Coach, Russell Martin. — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) June 5, 2025 Martin guided Southampton to promotion to the Premier League last year but was sacked in December following one win from their first 16 games. Rangers finished last season under the caretaker management of former captain Barry Ferguson, having dismissed Philippe Clement in February. Ex-Scotland defender Martin, who had a short loan spell as a player at Rangers in 2018, is tasked with wrestling power back from the other side of Glasgow after Celtic's stranglehold on Scottish football continued with a 13th William Hill Premiership title in 14 seasons. 'From my time here, I had a taste of how special this club is, the expectation, the passion and the history,' he told the club's website. 'Now, as I return, I'm determined to bring success back, for the supporters, the players, and everyone inside this club. 'There's a lot to be done, but the goal is clear: win matches, win trophies and give Rangers fans a team that they can be proud of.' ✍️ We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Russell Martin as Head Coach of our men's first team on a three-year deal. Full Details ⬇️ — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) June 5, 2025 Martin's arrival is the latest in a series of major changes at the club. An American consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises secured a majority shareholding on Friday, while new sporting director Kevin Thelwell officially began work on Monday. Rangers chief executive Patrick Stewart, who led the recruitment process alongside Thelwell, said: 'Our criteria for our next coach were clear: we wanted a coach who will excel in terms of how we want to play, improve our culture, develop our squad, and ultimately win matches. Russell was the standout candidate.'
