New NBA Trade Rumor Emerges for 76ers
New NBA Trade Rumor Emerges for 76ers originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Philadelphia 76ers are in good shape heading into the offseason as they have the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft. Nobody would have probably expected that to happen after the 76ers had big expectations coming into the season, but injuries ultimately derailed the team.

That led them to be near the bottom of the Eastern Conference and allowed them to have the chance of getting a good pick in the lottery. That's what happened, and now the 76ers can pick a player in the draft who will help them in the present but also set them up for the future.

There are many things that the 76ers can do with the pick if they don't want to stay at No. 3, and there's a possibility that they trade down for a potential player, according to Tate Fraizer.
'I had gotten like a crumb sent my way. Again, everything you get told or that gets brought your way, you take with some level of a grain of salt," Frazier said on the KOC show.

"But I heard that Kon Knueppel was kind of in the mix as well — as sort of a 'play-now' guy [for the Sixers].
'I also think there's a world in which maybe a team at six — maybe the Brooklyn Nets or somebody — wants to trade up. Maybe they're able to do something there, get a guy, and trade back to maybe get who they originally wanted. Maybe that's Knueppel, and they get him at seven or eight, or whatever it may be.'
The 76ers definitely have options, and if they like a player like Knueppel, who could get picked later in the first round, the 76ers can make a trade and acquire more assets in the process.

Porsche not planning to shift final assembly of cars to US
BERLIN (Reuters) -Porsche has no plans to shift any part of its production process to the U.S., a spokesperson said on Friday, dismissing a Bloomberg report saying the company was considering such a move to mitigate the effects of tariffs. The luxury carmaker, like Volkswagen's Audi, does not produce vehicles in the U.S., leaving it heavily exposed to tariffs at a time when it faces the challenges of falling demand, fierce competition in China and slow uptake of its electric models. Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources, reported on Friday that Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, who also leads the wider Volkswagen Group, was considering moving the final stages of model assembly, such as the installation of interior components or fitting of tires to the United States. A spokesperson for the carmaker said no such plans were in place. Porsche's finance chief Jochen Breckner said in late April that localisation made no sense given its low vehicle sales, even if the group were to team up with another VW brand. Volkswagen's Audi brand plans to produce its best-selling models in the U.S. and will announce a location this year, although the brand has said that the plan pre-dates the Trump administration. Blume said last week that he had engaged in discussions with Washington to expand the Volkswagen Group's presence in the United States through "massive investments", but declined to provide details, citing confidentiality. Canada coach Jesse Marsch condemns U.S. treatment, ‘lack of respect' for Ukraine
Canada men's national team coach Jesse Marsch offered his support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian national team on Friday while also taking aim once again at United States President Donald Trump. 'As an American, the treatment that we have given the President of the Ukraine and the lack of respect really bothers me. Without having to know what it's like to go through something like what these players, this coach and this federation has been through, I am just really excited to be able to show our support,' Marsch said in his opening remarks at a Friday morning event with the Canada Ukraine Foundation. Advertisement Marsch is likely referencing a tense and fiery exchange between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Feb. 28 that made global headlines. Marsch has previously taken aim at Trump, saying in February that Trump should 'lay off the ridiculous rhetoric about Canada being the 51st state; as an American, I'm ashamed of the arrogance and disregard we've shown one of our historically oldest, strongest and most loyal allies.' Due to the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian national team is required to play its matches in neutral venues. 'If you think about the challenges that the players from Ukraine have been through, they haven't played a home match in several years, they've had to play World Cup qualifiers on foreign soil, they've had players playing professionally and internationally with the concern of the safety of their country and their family and their friends,' Marsch said. 'In general, the ability for us to have empathy and sympathy for everything that their team, their nation, their team, their players have gone through is really important at a time like this.' Ukraine's upcoming home matches in UEFA Group D of 2026 World Cup qualification do not yet have a location. 'As the Canadian national team coach, to show how much we are behind them, we are with them, that we want to do everything we can,' Marsch said, noting that one of the beauties of international football is that it 'can take on so much more than what the sport is.' Ukraine is in Toronto to play Canada in the Canadian Shield friendly tournament on Saturday. Ukraine will play its second match of the Canadian Shield friendly tournament on Tuesday against New Zealand, while Canada plays Ivory Coast also on Tuesday. 'It's really a pleasure and an honour to show that friendship and respect are at the core of everything we try to do in this sport,' Marsch said.

Leading Proxy Advisory Firm ISS Recommends PENN Entertainment Shareholders Vote "FOR" All Three Director Candidates Nominated by HG Vora
Institutional Shareholder Services ("ISS") Recommends Shareholders Cast Votes Using the GOLD Proxy Card "FOR" William Clifford, Johnny Hartnett and Carlos Ruisanchez at PENN's 2025 Annual Meeting ISS Finds a Clear Case for Meaningful Change at PENN; Highlights that PENN has "Underperformed Peers Across the Board" and Raises "Concerns About its Approach to Refreshment" ISS States the Independent Director Nominees Would Bring "Direct Gaming Industry Experience" to PENN's Board HG Vora Urges Shareholders to Vote "FOR" All Three Independent Candidates on the GOLD Proxy Card to Express Their Desire for Genuine, Shareholder-Driven Change at PENN NEW YORK, June 06, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HG Vora Capital Management, LLC (together with its affiliates, "HG Vora") today announced that Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. ("ISS"), a leading independent proxy advisory firm, has recommended that shareholders of PENN Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: PENN) ("PENN" or the "Company") cast their votes "FOR" the election of all three independent director candidates nominated by HG Vora – William Clifford, Johnny Hartnett, and Carlos Ruisanchez – to the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") on the GOLD proxy card at PENN's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the "Annual Meeting"), scheduled for June 17, 2025. In its report,* ISS concluded that PENN's performance under current leadership has "been disappointing over all measurement periods", that the Board's misguided interactive strategy has "failed to drive the returns expected by shareholders", and that there is "clearly a case for board change" given there is "little evidence that the board has been able to hold management accountable." With respect to PENN's significant underperformance and strategic errors under the current Board, ISS said: "The company's push into interactive has not been successful." "The overall story is one of M&A that has generally failed to drive the returns expected by shareholders." "It is particularly difficult to overlook the negative inflection that coincided with expansion into online sports betting, which is highlighted by the dissident." "Most worryingly, the company has pursued acquisitions and partnerships since early 2020 that have failed to meet the expectations of shareholders, and failed to meet the company's own stated goals." "The board appears not to have taken tangible lessons from its record in approving company acquisitions." With respect to the Board's composition, poor corporate governance, and lack of management oversight, ISS said: "The board lacks an adequate level of direct gaming industry experience. It appears that this deficiency has hampered the board's ability to effectively oversee management during the push into interactive, which has in turn translated into disappointing TSR and operational results." "[T]here is little evidence that the board has been able to hold management accountable, as the company has continued to pursue a strategy that has failed to deliver on expectations." With respect to the qualifications of the three independent director candidates, ISS said: "Hartnett and Ruisanchez seem to have fortuitously presented the board with a ready-made solution to a problem it was otherwise unprepared to address." "The more important point is that the board requires additional direct gaming industry experience, which Clifford can impart. He also has experience at the company itself, as a member of senior management and recently as a consultant." "[With respect to Clifford …], there is little evidence that the board has been able to hold management accountable, which suggests that a director who is not afraid to share a contrarian viewpoint may be a valuable addition." "There does not appear to be an outcome that would make support unwarranted for Clifford at this meeting." In conclusion, ISS said, "support for Clifford, as well as Hartnett and Ruisanchez, is warranted on the dissident card." Previously, leading independent proxy advisory firm Egan-Jones Proxy Services also recommended that PENN shareholders cast their votes "FOR" the election of all three independent director candidates nominated by HG Vora – William Clifford, Johnny Hartnett, and Carlos Ruisanchez – to the Board using the GOLD proxy card at PENN's 2025 Annual Meeting. To ensure the election of William Clifford, Johnny Hartnett, and Carlos Ruisanchez, it is essential that all PENN shareholders vote the GOLD proxy card "FOR" HG Vora's highly qualified director nominees – William Clifford, Johnny Hartnett, and Carlos Ruisanchez. With PENN's Annual Meeting less than two weeks away, it is important that shareholders cast their votes today. Every vote is important, no matter how many shares you own.
